Effect of New Hallyu: Influence of K-POP Consumption on Chinese Attitude toward Korea and Hallyu (신한류 효과: 중국인들의 K-POP 이용이 한국과 한류에 대한 호감도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aims to examine how the usage of K-POP and Korean TV dramas influence Chinese attitude toward Korea and Hallyu as K-POP has gained its popularity all over the world. The result indicated that 'gender', 'duration of watching Korean TV drama, 'the evaluation of Korean TV dramas', 'duration of listening K-POP and 'evaluation of K-POP' are strong predictors influencing attitude toward Korea among Chinese people. On the other hand, in relation to Hallyu, demographic factors are not appeared as the predictors, however, duration of watching Korean TV dramas, 'the evaluation of Korea TV dramas' and 'evaluation of K-POP' have been shown to influence the attitude toward Hallyu in a positive way. As the practical implication this result suggests that content, either Drama or K-POP, has more importance to appeal global audience rather than famous star has. Furthermore, when variables such as watching Korea TV dramas and evaluation of Korea TV drama have been controlled, 'evaluation of K-POP' appeared as a strong predictor to influence attitude of Korea and Hallyu in a positive way. This result indicates that the main content of Hallyu in China has shifted from Korean Dram to K-POP as the New Hallyu has been coming.

Economic Ripple Effect of Korean Wave(Hallyu) : Impacts of the Satisfaction of Korean Popular Music among Chinese College Students on the Purchase Intention for Korean Culture Products (한류의 경제적 파급 효과 : 중국 대학생들의 한국 대중음악에 대한 만족도가 한국 문화상품 구매의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examines the economic ripple effect of Korean wave(Hallyu). Specifically, this study tries to investigate how the satisfaction of Korean popular music among Chinese college students affects the purchase intention for Korean culture products such as Korea tour, the Korean language, and Korean martial art(Taekwondo). These products are not directly related to the Korean popular music. Results show that the overall satisfaction of Korean popular music leads to the preference for Korean popular music, which in turn improves the liking of Korean wave(Hallyu), the liking of Korea, and the purchase intention for Korean culture products. It is also found that the liking of Korean wave(Hallyu) affects the purchase intention for Korean culture products, which is mediated by the liking of Korea. However, the positive relationship between the liking of Korea and the purchase intention for Korean culture products is shown marginally significant.

A Study on Likability·Understanding Level·Reliability·Satisfaction·Continuous Usage Intention According to a Difference in a News Providing Type (뉴스의 제공 형태 차이에 따른 호감도·이해도·신뢰도·만족도·지속사용 의도에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine users' attitude toward likability, understanding level, reliability, satisfaction, and continuous usage intention depending on a difference in a type between card news and straight news. A questionnaire survey was conducted targeting 232 people. As a result of the research, compared to the straight news, the card news was easy for a user to understand, was strong even in a desire to use continuously. Second, a factor of users' attitude toward news was having influence upon the mutually positive(+) direction. Likability, understanding level and reliability had an effect on satisfaction. The satisfaction had an impact again on continuous usage intention. The intensity of this impact was varied, respectively, in card news and straight news. The influential level upon satisfaction in card news was strong in order of likability, understanding level and reliability. The influence in the straight news was strong in order of reliability, likability and understanding level. The outcome of this study will become empirical data in proceeding with seeking a method available for strengthening the function of offering information in news through increasing delivery and impact in information with producing news chosen by consumers.

The Relationship of Consuming Patterns, Recognition and Preference on Korean and Japanese Traditional Cookies (한.일 전통과자의 인지도, 호감도 및 소비형태)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the recognition and preference of Korean traditional cookies and Japanese "Wagashi" by consuming patterns and demographic characteristics in order to suggest strategies for promotion of Hangwa, Korean traditional cookies. Consumer questionnaire survey was done to quantify 241 answers for Korean traditional cookies and 249 for Wagashi, and they were used for final analysis, frequency, t-test, One-way ANOVA, and regression analyses with SPSS 12.0. As a result, it was found that there were the differences of recognition by demographic factors and consuming patterns on the preference and recognitions. Especially in the demographic characteristics, there were differences in recognition by age and education levels for hangwa and by age for wagashi. According to the regression analysis, recognition affected preference for hankwa and wagashi.

A Study on the Awareness of User s to Avatar Characters in the Cyberspace (가상공간의 아바타 캐릭터에 대한 사용자의 인식조사)

  • This study is focused on user awareness of avatar character in the cyber space. The purpose of this study is to investigate user preference toward avatar and test their awareness on it. The awareness of avatar is based on the applied degree of self-awareness, and also analyzed by factors using 3 elements such as loyalty, value and confidence in Maurice Wagner's study but self-projection was added to these three variables. The result shows that there is no significant statistical difference among response groups for age and sex classification but the preference and the value variables are significantly dependent on sex and age, respectively. There are strong correlation among each response variables for the awareness of avatar character and the loyalty and the preference variables are mostly correlated. The regression analysis shows that the preference of avatar is mostly affected by loyalty and thus the self awareness of avatar in the Cyberspace is proportional to user preference. It is shown that users do not awareness an avatar as a visual image but identify their avatar as an another selfness since they project themselves into those avatars.

  • Noise can be defined as any undesired or loud sound. The sound level of mobile phone ring tones could be considered as noise if it is too loud on a specific situation. To classify a specific sound level of mobile phone ring tones as noise, it is useful to evaluate the mean opinion scores(MOS) on sound levels under some specific situations. The paper evaluates MOS on various sound levels (in dBA) of mobile phone ring tones, types of ring tone(bell/melody), and gender(male/female), location (street/office).

Mediating Effects of Self-Regulatory System between Ad Liking and Emotional Engagement in Public Service Announcements (공익광고캠페인의 호감도와 몰입의 관계에서 자기조절체계의 매개효과)

  • The current study investigated mediating effects of self-regulatory system in the context of public service announcements (PSAs). We conducted a survey to collect participants' orientation of self-regulatory systems, emotional response and evaluation of PSAs. A total of 70 undergraduate students with mean age of 22.49 (SD = 3.22). Results showed that emotional engagement to the PSAs is affected by ad liking and, in turn, directly influences intention to act as a campaign outcome. Furthermore, our findings suggested that promotion-oriented individuals are more likely to commit PSA messages than do the prevention-oriented individuals. Therefore, messages of the PSA campaign should include hope and aspiration, indicating the connection of accomplishment and advancement.

  • 본 연구에서는 운전자의 피로감을 경감시킬 수 있도록 개발된 자동차용 향 발생장치의 향분사주기에 대해 연구하였다. 평균나이 22+2세인 남녀 대학생 20명을 대상으로 4가지 천연향(쟈스민 30%, 쟈스민 50%, 페파민트 30%, 페파민트 50%)을 사용하여 향에 순응화가 발생하는 시간과 향에 대한 순응화가 제거되는 시간 및 호감도 실험을 수행하였다. 실험 결과 쟈스민 30%의 순응화가 발생되는 시간은 1분 28초, 순응화가 제거되는 시간은 3분 15초, 쟈스민 50%에서 순응화가 발생하는 시간은 2분 41초, 순응화가 제거 되는 시간은 4분 3초, 페파민트 30%에서 순응화가 발생하는 시간은 1분 47초, 순응화가 제거되는 시간은 2분 59초, 페파민트 50%에서 순응화가 발생하는 시간은 1분 58초, 순응화가 제거되는 시간은 4분11초였다. 호감도 결과는 쟈스민 30%의 호감도가 0.94로 나와 가장 선호하는 향인 것으로 밝혀졌다.

  • 감성은 개인적인 생활경험을 통해 표현되며 동일한 감정상태와 정보자극을 주더라도 다른 감성이 발생될 뿐만 아니라 개인, 사회, 문화 요인에 따라서 크게 변한다. 따라서 다른 영역의 감성과 도서에 대한 감성이 같지 않기 때문에 별도의 감성 사전 구축이 필요하다. 구축된 감성사전은 비슷한 성향의 도서와 사람을 묶어 추천해 주는데 활용할 수 있다. 감성 사전 구축을 위한 원천 정보로 네티즌이 책을 읽고 호감도와 함께 짧은 문장으로 쓴 소감을 활용하였다. 감성분석에서 가장 기본이 되는 분류는 긍정과 부정으로 나누는 것이다. 하지만, 실제로 도서를 추천하기위해서 긍정과 부정으로만 구분하는 것은 충분하지 않다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 도서에 대해서 감성을 긍정과 부정의 호감정도와 감성의 활성도를 조합한 8개의 감성으로 분류하고 각각의 지수를 함께 산출하여 감성어 사전을 구축하고 활용하는 방안을 제시하였다.

The Influence of Chinese Remale College Students' Empathy in Female Tik Toker Fashion on Favorability and Purchase Intention (중국 여대생의 여성 틱톡커(Tik Toker) 패션에 대한 감정이입이 호감도 및 구매의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted with female college students in their 20s living in Henan Province, China, who had experience with TikTok. The relationship between TikToker's fashion and consumers' empathy, favorability, and purchase intent is verified. The questionnaires were administered for 10 days from February 1 to February 10, 2022. A total of 316 questionnaires were used for the final analysis, and statistical processing of the collected data was performed using SPSS 26.0 for frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, Chinese female college consumers' empathy for women's TikToker fashion positively influenced favorability and purchase intention. Second, Chinese female college consumers' favorability of women's TikToker fashion positively influenced purchase intentions. Based on the results of this study, the following insights can be proposed. When promoting TikTok marketing, attention should be paid to the choice of TikToker. If choose the right TikToker, you can not only increase the favorability of TikToker fashion products but also increase the purchase intention of TikToker fashion. Choosing TikToker with charm, rich emotion, and beautiful appearance help product sales.
