  • This study is a descriptive cross-sectional study to confirm the knowledge, attitudes, and preventive practice behaviors of university students concerning COVID-19 and to identify the factors that influence preventive practice behaviors. The number of study subjects was calculated using G*power program 3.19. The data collected from the study were analyzed using SPSS/WIN version 25. The subject's characteristics, knowledge, attitude, and preventive practices against COVID-19 were analyzed with descriptive statistics, and the difference in knowledge, attitude, and prevention practices against COVID-19 according to the subject's characteristics was evaluated using an independent t-test, ANOVA, and post-hoc test was conducted using a Scheffé test. Correlations of knowledge, attitude, and prevention practices against COVID-19 were analyzed using Pearson Correlation coefficients, and factors affecting COVID-19 prevention practices were analyzed using stepwise multiple regression. The number of subjects analyzed in the study was 232. The general characteristics of the study subjects were 78 males (33.7 %) and 154 females (66.3 %). The subject's knowledge score about COVID-19 was 85.13±6.22 out of 100 points, and the attitude score toward COVID-19 was 12.47±1.31 out of 14 points. The prevention practice score for COVID-19 was 29.36±3.42 out of 32 points. As a result of the study, knowledge about COVID-19 was found to have a significant positive correlation with attitude (r=.34, p<.001); COVID-19 prevention practice behavior was found to have a significant positive correlation with knowledge (r=.54, p<.001), and attitude (r=.62, p<.001). • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of desensitization and flooding on the behavior of dogs during grooming, focusing on their response to the sound and skin stimulation while using a clipper. A total of 20 adult dogs over two years of age with complete personality formation were included in the study. Ten dogs, of which three were Bichons (average weight 5 kg), four were Poodles (average weight 5 kg), and three were Malteses (average weight 4 kg), were subjected to the desensitization process. The remaining 10 adult dogs were subjected to the flooding experiment, and were of the same breed and average weight as the adult dogs used in the desensitization process. The desensitization and the flooding were performed three times a day (approximately 1 min per session) for 10 days. For desensitization, statistical significance was observed only on the fifth day, when compared by breed (p<0.05). Overall, when compared by measurement day, the results of desensitization for Bichon, Poodle and Maltese dogs were statistically significant (p<0.05). The results for the Bichon, Poodle, and Maltese dogs that were subjected to flooding were found to be statistically significant (p<0.05). There was a significant difference in the results of the flooding on the second and ninth days (p<0.05); however, flooding had no effect on the other days (p>0.05). Desensitization using the clipper, a beauty tool, was faster than flooding in achieving stabilization. In conclusion, desensitization and flooding showed positive results on the stress relief and emotions of dogs during grooming, with respect to cosmetic fear response.

Fifteen subjects were in the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group applied the fascial relaxation technique twice a week for nine weeks. The control group conducted stretches by themselves at least twice a week according to the active stretching instructions. The ANOVA program analyzed the data. Results: In the experimental group, intracellular fluid (p < .05), skeletal muscle mass (p < .048), and body cell mass (p < .047) were significantly increased. Conclusion: The lower extremity edema of working women decreased

  • The shape of the male beard to be examined in this study was set as a mustache. This study used frequency analysis and cross-tab analysis to conduct T-test and one-way variance analysis using 300 final responses from the questionnaire that presented preference and non-preference reasons and demographic characteristics along with preference and non-preference options to measure the likability of whiskers. As a result of the study, there were differences in men's preference and non-preference for each beard formulation, and the level of difference was statistically significant between the male and female groups and the age group. In addition, it was found that each group category showed a difference in the reasons for judging likes/dislikes by beard form. There are differences in preference and non-preference according to men's beard formations, and it was confirmed that there are various differences according to perceptual characteristics in the main reasons for favorability and dislike, which are the basis for judgment.
