  • Culture of Latin cultura culture derived from a translation of the original meaning of words was farming and cultivation, culture, art and later became the will of. British anthropologist E. B. Tyler book "primitive cultures, Primitive Culture" (1871) Culture in the "knowledge. Beliefs Arts. Morality. Law. Practices, including as a member of human society acquired the totality of skills or habits," he gave the definition. Culture can be seen in the human reason, of the form of action, not genetic thing by playing by learning to learn from the community and received the whole thing says. Thus, the prevalence of active cultural power of vigorous training is possible can. In this sense, our ceramic culture also reaffirming the importance of education and the reorganization is needed. Culture and what it takes to become a force larger than the act of teaching. Who supply the consumer with the culture and the sharing of feelings that can be read properly considering the skater to the consumer unless the formation of culture is impossible. In this regard, this study realized the importance of education and culture, as the current situation in our country and the activation of ceramic craft education is to provide.

  • The loss of natural habitats and their fragmentation caused by human activities pose a great threat to biodiversity worldwide, reducing animal population to small, fragmented patches of natural habitat. In this paper, a metapopulation dynamics of Sericinus montela koreanus, a species of butterfly, was studied for two years by mark-release-recapture (MRR) techiques in the Musimcheon, Cheongju Korea. 2,749 individuals (males: 2,295, females: 454) were marked and released, with 343 individuals (12.5%) recaptured during the MRR experiment. Capture sex ratio and recapture sex ratios was both consistently male-biased. The Jolly-Seber model was used to estimate daily metapopulation size, survival rates, addition rate, and accidental deaths. We urge conservation biologists to consider the local population dynamics of species for the management of metapopulations in fragmented landscapes. In the case of the S. montela koreanus, continuing site protection is essential.

  • In archival discourse, social memory has been discussed for some time. Despite this, however, theoretical studies have not been prolific at all in the Korean archival community. Many Western scholars have argued that archivists should consider memory rather than records for archival preservation because the inclusiveness of the former will fill the gaps in the latter. Social memory that is shared and transmitted across generations in society would include the stories of marginalized groups of people who are often neglected in official documents. Archivists can reconstruct the diverse narratives of a variety of social groups based on social memory, and this would be their social responsibility. In this sense, it is archivists who exercise power regarding how history will be written in the future because they determine what would be preserved in archives: mainstream culture with official records or a broader spectrum of diverse stories of people in society. From this perspective, this paper intends to understand how memory is discussed in archival discourse and to review how archives and history are associated with memory in theories and practices.

  • This thesis deals with a method to deliver more realistic sound by cancelling the cross-talk which is inherent to the 5.1 channel speaker system. First, the cross-talk cancellation method that eliminates cross-talks on the path from left speaker to right ear and from right speaker to left ear is explained. Then the application and replaying method using the cross-talk cancellation explained here is introduced. The acoustical model for cross-talk cancellation is the free field model This model minimizes distortion of sound. Many experts also make studies on this model. I used the bark scale sound quality compensation based on psycho-acoustic. For the surround channels, band-limited sound quality compensation is performed in the frequency domain.

  • This study analyzes into the characteristic appearance in distintion with emotional changes toward visual forms of psychology along with character development in the 3D animation industry. In this regard, the study seeks to propose essential targets of the five emotional characters from the Pixar's animation Inside-Out to prove psychological effects to the character's visual appearance. As a previous research, the study analysis the visual representations oriented toward both emotional facial expression and emotional color expression using both Paul Ekman and Robert Plutchik's human basic emotion research. The purpose of this study is to present the visual guideline of emotional character's appearance through the various human expression for differentiated character development in animation production.

  • SBS's -also known as - is one of the most famous investigative programs in South Korean television sector. This program is well-known for its much detailed and tenacious investigation of unsolved crimes, various social wrong-doings, as well as public scandals through a mystery code and meticulous storytelling. As a result, generates much popular interests and responses from local audiences. This work both examines and contextualizes the multiple roles and implications of this program through a textual and production analysis. Especially, it critically pursues this program's achievements and limits in the context of the changing roles of investigative journalism and its unstable status at current juncture.

  • This study tries to find the policy instruments that have used in the process of social insurance policy implementation. The results can be summarized as follows: First, in case of compulsory policy instrument, the government uses the regulation, public enterprise and government insurance in the process of implementing of all the social insurance policy. Second, in the case of mixed policy instrument, the government use the user' contribution in the process of implementing of all the social insurance policy but the subsidy was used in the process of implementing of the medical, pension, unemployment and long-term care insurance for the aged policy. Also, the information and discipline was used in the process of implementing of unemployment insurance policy and the partnership was used in the process of implementing of long-term care insurance for the aged policy. Third, in case of voluntary policy instrument, the government uses the family and community in the process of implementing of almost the whole social insurance policy.

  • The controversy over the ethics of bio-science in Korea involves not only the conventional 'two cultures' dimension of scientific vs. humane culture, but also another dimension of high vs. popular culture. This paper attempts to analyze the problems of the Korean bio-science controversy and explore a desirable solution with such an extended framework of 'two cultures'. If we investigate this controversy based only on the Snow's 'two cultures' model, we may understand why there have been conflicts between scientists and ethicists. But the possible solution from it may fall into a trap of professionalism, which confines to some suggestions to promote communication and trust between these two expert groups. Therefore, adding the second dimension of high vs. popular culture to this will clearly bring out the problem of separation and conflict between experts and the public. This will also help us to conceive a more fundamental and comprehensive solution. In addition, such an approach can greatly illuminate not only the existing discussion on 'two cultures' but also the cultural role of STS education.

  • There have been a number of studies on ports and they have made great contributions to the development of ports. However, there have been no research that classified and organized the results comprehensively. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the results of studies related to Korean port economics. For the purpose, we carried out a meta-analysis targeting 659 articles published in Journal of Korea Port Economic Association from 1991 to 2010. For the meta-analysis on themes of port economics and methods, the study presented a total of three items to be analysed: First, we analysed characteristics of researchers, discussed themes and identified contents by analysing research methods used for the studies. As a result, port economics have shown great growth in volume and recently, more attentions have been paid to ports along with increase of researchers, and themes and methods of research have been sub-categorized and diversified. Therefore, based on the results of the study, comparative studies should be added.

  • Rainfall-runoff models are used for efficient management, distribution, planning, and design of water resources in accordance with the process of hydrologic cycle. The models simplify the transition of rainfall to runoff as rainfall through different processes including evaporation, transpiration, interception, and infiltration. As the models simplify complex physical processes, gaps between the models and actual rainfall events exist. For more accurate simulation, appropriate models that suit analysis goals are selected and reliable long-term hydrological data are collected. However, uncertainty is inherent in models. It is therefore necessary to evaluate reliability of simulation results from models. A number of studies have evaluated uncertainty ingrained in rainfall-runoff models. In this paper, Meta-Gaussian method proposed by Montanari and Brath(2004) was used to assess uncertainty of simulation outputs from rainfall-runoff models. The model, which estimates upper and lower bounds of the confidence interval from probabilistic distribution of a model's error, can quantify global uncertainty of hydrological models. In this paper, Meta-Gaussian method was applied to analyze uncertainty of simulated runoff outputs from $Vflo^{TM}$, a physically-based distribution model and HEC-HMS model, a conceptual lumped model.
