Analysis of Faculty Perceptions and Needs for the Implementation of AI based Adaptive Learning in Higher Education (대학 교육에서 인공지능 기반 적응형 학습 구현을 위한 교수자 인식 및 요구분석)

  • This study aimed to analyze the level of professors' understanding and perception of adaptive learning and proposed how college can implement successful adaptive learning in college classes. For research purposes, online survey was conducted by 162 professors of A university in capital region. As a result, professors seemed to feel pressure to provide students personalized feedback and gave concerned that students don't study enough in advance before participating in class. It was also found that professors realized that they have low level of understanding about adaptive learning, while they revealed intention to make use of adaptive learning in their class. They also answered that adaptive learning system is the most helpful support for encouraging professors to apply adaptive learning in real class. We proposed what is required to encourage professor to implement adaptive learning in their class.

  • 모바일 기기의 화면 크기와 해상도의 발달로 모바일러닝은 시각장애인들의 이동성의 제한과 접근성의 문제를 해결해 줄 수 있는 학습방법이 되었다. 그러나 시각장애를 가진 학습자들은 메뉴 구조의 복잡성으로 인해 원하는 메뉴로 이동하는 것에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위해 4개의 시작메뉴를 제안한다. 4개의 시작메뉴는 모바일 기기의 화면에 4개의 코너에 시작화면을 불러오는 영역을 제공하여 시작메뉴의 선택이 쉽고, 메뉴선택을 위한 반복적인 이동횟수와 메뉴구조의 복잡도를 줄일 수 있다. 따라서 4개의 시작메뉴는 시각장애를 가진 학습자가 모바일러닝 환경에서 모바일러닝 콘텐츠를 통한 학습이 쉽게 이루어지도 도와주어 즐겁게 지식과 기술을 습득하여 정보격차를 줄일 수 있다.

  • 최근 인터넷이 발전하면서 교육과 학습의 적용에 관심을 보여 이러닝의 보급과 확산이 화두로 떠오르고 있다. 때에 맞추어 선진국을 비롯한 각국은 플랫폼 독립과 컨텐츠 재사용성 제고를 위한 정보기술 표준활동에 노력을 기울이고 있다. 그러나 교육이라는 특수성과 나라 사이의 정보기술의 격차 때문에 국가 별로 표준에 임하는 입장 차이가 두드러지게 나타나고 있다. 본 논문은 이에 관하여 북미, 유럽, 일본, 중국 및 싱가포르에서 추진중인 E-Learning 관련 단체에 대한 현재까지의 활동과 움직임을 분석하고 조명함으로써, 향후 우리가 준비해야 할 정보기술 측면과 교육설계구조 측면에서 전략적이고 실천적인 대응방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • The advent of e-Learning paradigm requires a various type of e-Learning models and systems which are appropriate to support effective teaching-learning process. Accordingly, the teaching-learning system using the Internet and the intelligent tutoring system(ITS) in e-Learning environment has attracted a fair amount of critical attention. However there is a wide gap between infrastructure of a present educational site and the u-learning environment. Therefore, in this paper, an ITS teaching-learning model is proposed and system is developed for a school environment, which is based on a learner's cognitive structure and applies a concept of u-Learning, and then is verified for validity. X-Neuronet, the developed system, offers a method of representing a learner's cognitive structure so as to apply the method for the efficient individualized learning.

  • The purpose of the study was to examine the implications for new strategical policy on promoting lifelong learning in ubiquitous society by gathering the views and ideas of experts. We interviewed with 15 experts in the fields of ubiquitous learning and technology. In the result, we found the following pre-requisites in promoting lifelong learning in ubiquitous society: 1) consensus regarding the ubiquitous society, 2) infra structure and various services, 3) contents based on the citizens' needs, 4) information gap closing, and 5) law and institutions in terms of lifelong learning in ubiquitous society.

  • For the successful implementation of IT projects, individual consultant's competency in the project is very important. Especially, 3 key factors which are 1) Learning-by-Doing, 2) Learning-from-Others, and 3) Learning-by-Investment with individual consultant's competency, are required for solving various critical issues which can be occurred during implementing IT project. The objective of this research is to examine the effects of these learning processes on decision performance of consultants. Prior to setup the research model, we conducted 3 times in-depth interviews with IT consultants who have over 20 years IT project experiences. Through interviews with IT project expert, we tried to validate our research model and develop survey questionnaires. Over 100 consultants, who are working at SI companies those of Samsung SDS, LG CNS, SK C&C and other small SI companies, were participated to survey. In the contrary of our thoughts before conducted experiment, we got the interesting result from pilot experiment. Most influenced learning process was Learning-by-Doing and less influenced learning process was Learning-from-Others.

Bit-width Aware Generator and Intermediate Layer Knowledge Distillation using Channel-wise Attention for Generative Data-Free Quantization

  • In this paper, we propose the BAG (Bit-width Aware Generator) and the Intermediate Layer Knowledge Distillation using Channel-wise Attention to reduce the knowledge gap between a quantized network, a full-precision network, and a generator in GDFQ (Generative Data-Free Quantization). Since the generator in GDFQ is only trained by the feedback from the full-precision network, the gap resulting in decreased capability due to low bit-width of the quantized network has no effect on training the generator. To alleviate this problem, BAG is quantized with same bit-width of the quantized network, and it can generate synthetic images, which are effectively used for training the quantized network. Typically, the knowledge gap between the quantized network and the full-precision network is also important. To resolve this, we compute channel-wise attention of outputs of convolutional layers, and minimize the loss function as the distance of them. As the result, the quantized network can learn which channels to focus on more from mimicking the full-precision network. To prove the efficiency of proposed methods, we quantize the network trained on CIFAR-100 with 3 bit-width weights and activations, and train it and the generator with our method. As the result, we achieve 56.14% Top-1 Accuracy and increase 3.4% higher accuracy compared to our baseline AdaDFQ.

  • 인터넷이 보편화되어 이젠 일상의 한 부분으로 자리 잡아 가고 있다. 단순히 웹 서핑이 아닌 보다 효율적이고 건설적인 인터넷의 활용은 사회 전 분야에서 활발히 전개되고 있다. 뿐만 아니라 멀티미디어의 기술 발달은 인터넷의 보편화와 더불어 교육방면에서 새로운 국면을 맞고 있다. 본 연구는 정보화에 소외된 어업인의 정보화 격차의 해소와 생활터전에서 여건상 수산기술관리소에서 교육을 받지 못한 수산신기술을 웹 환경에서 해소함으로써 교육에 참석하기 위해 시간, 교통비등 부대비용을 줄이고, 또한 다양한 멀티미디어 교재를 통해 어업인들이 반복학습의 장점을 살려 수산신지식기술을 보급하고자 시스템을 구축하여 멀티미디어 교재를 개발함에 있다.

  • Log Structured Merged Tree(LSM-Tree)구조를 사용하여 빠른 데이터 쓰기 성능을 보유한 RocksDB에는 쓰기 증폭과 공간 증폭 현상이 발생한다. 쓰기 증폭은 과도한 쓰기 연산을 유발하여 데이터 처리 성능 저하와 플래시 메모리 기반 장치의 수명 저하를 초래하며, 공간 증폭은 데이터 저장 공간 점유로 인한 저장 공간 부족 문제를 야기한다. 본 논문에서는 쓰기 증폭과 공간 증폭 완화를 위해 RocksDB 의 성능에 영향 주는 주요 파라미터를 추출하고, 기계학습 기법인 랜덤 포레스트를 사용하여 추출한 파라미터가 쓰기 증폭과 공간 증폭에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 실험결과 쓰기 증폭과 공간 증폭에 영향을 많이 주는 주요 요소를 선별하였고 다른 파라미터에 대비해서 성능 격차가 61.7% 더 나타낸 것을 발견하였다.

  • The purpose of this study was to analysis the gender differences in the academic achievement and the difference of academic achievement by the residential area in elementary school. Common phenomenon was observed in the result of the differences between male and female students' academic achievement and the ratio of achievement level. Female students' score was higher in 3rd grade elementary school but in 4th and 5the grade this phenomenon was gradually weakened. The following are the results of analysis of elementary school students' mathematics academic achievement in three areas(big city, small city and rural area). In the result was proved that the problem of the gap between the urban and rural areas has continued in the 21st century.
