  • In the age of ubiquitous computing, computer systems will be seamlessly integrated into our everyday life, providing services and information to us in an anywhere, anytime fashion. This ubiquitous computing can be used for developing a ubiquitous learning (U-learning). In this paper, we present a framework for U-school in which ubiquitous computing technologies are applied to advance the existing ERSS (Korea's Educational Resources Sharing System). Our framework applies mobile, sensor, and context-aware technologies to the existing ERSS. This framework presents a user-centric learning environment, using user-centric scenario. The U-school with context-aware services therefore can lead to the just-in-time learning or learner-led learning based on dynamic contexts acquired from learners, teachers and computing entities.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics reflected in the 2015 revised home economics curriculum for the key competencies presented in the OECD education 2030 project. The results indicate that first, in general, about 46.5% of the competencies could be classified into the skill, attitude and value category; 17% into the learning concept framework category; 24.2% into the competency development cycle category; and 12.5% into the complex competency category. Overall, the competencies of the OECD learning framework are found to be reflected primarily in the achievement standards(59%), followed by characteristics(16.1%), teaching-learning and assessments orientation(9.4%), content system(8%), and goals(7.6%). Second, the key competencies were reflected in the middle school curriculum, more often in the descending order of action, problem-solving, communication, respect, creative thinking, conflict resolution, empathy, critical thinking, self-regulation, and student agency. In the high school curriculum, the competencies were reflected more often in the descending order of action, empathy, problem-solving, anticipation, global competence, self-regulation, student agency, literacy for sustainable development, reflection, and critical thinking. Third, the heat map shows that the competencies corresponding to the third and fourth levels are most frequently reflected in the curriculum. Therefore, it is advisable to develop effective plans to execute and support the reflection of key competencies in the curriculum. Through this study, home economics educators are expected to understand the inter-connectivity between the key competencies emphasized by the OECD learning framework and the competencies of home economics as a practical subject, and to scrutinize how to help individual students develop their overall competencies and be prepared for the future.

  • Our society is undergoing rapid changes due to COVID-19, and in particular, online learning using digital technology is being tried in various forms in the educational field. A change has occurred. However, the limitations of distance learning, such as reduced learning immersion in non-face-to-face educational situations, lack of interaction between teachers and learners, and lower basic academic ability, are constantly being raised, and an appropriate educational strategy is needed to solve these problems. This study focused on the concept of 'Metaverse' based on the interaction between the virtual world and the real world, and tried to verify the effectiveness of educational activities based on it. In detail, we propose an educational framework for realizing flipped learning in the Metaverse Virtual Classroom, and a frame developed by measuring the learning immersion of a single group with a teaching/learning program developed based on this. The effectiveness of the work was verified. When the metaverse platform-based flip learning framework and education program proposed in this study were applied, it was confirmed that learners' immersion in learning was improved.

  • Sources of innovation and a sustainable competitive advantage for market leading firms in a dynamic environment are major concerns for both firm managers and academic researchers. For this reason, the dynamic capability view (DCV), evolved from the resource-based view (RBV) is gaining popularity as a cornerstone for success of firms in a dynamic market. DCV proposes a number of new concepts and elements, but these are still under development. This study suggests a comprehensive constitution of dynamic capabilities by performing a systematic literature review of 59 conceptual research papers from 238 bodies of literature. For the integrative conceptual framework, the elements of the dynamic capabilities are segmented into organizational learning and strategic choices with sensing, seizing, and reconfiguring stages. In addition, our conceptual framework lays a foundation for further empirical studies, with investigating sources of competitive advantage of market leading firms.
