The purpose of this study was to develop home economics(HE) teaching learning process plans by Gagne's instructional events using scaffolding of 'nutrition and meal of adolescents' unit according to the 2007 revised middle school HE curriculum. To achieve this purpose, the teaching learning process plans and worksheets using scaffolding according to Gagne's instructional event were developed for 5 periods, implemented to the 71 middle school students in Busan city, and evaluated by 21 home economics(HE) teachers and 71 middle school students. The content of the teaching learning process plans were composed of the subjects, 'impotance of nutrition and wellness', 'types of function of nutrients, 'Korean dietary reference intakes and characteristics of adolescent nutrition', 'nutrition problems, eating habits, and diet of adolescents', and 'future health and jobs'. HE teachers evaluated that the content of the teaching learning process plans were suitable to the middle school students, teacher's questions were accurate, and the teaching learning process plans were suitable, usable, and easy to implement in middle school HE class. The students who participated in the class were satisfied with the instruction by Gagne's events using scaffolding. They perceived that the contents and process of the instruction were understandable and interesting.

The purpose of this study was to develop practical problem-based home economics teaching.learning process plans about a unit 'the youth and consumer life' of middle school eighth-grade Technology and Home Economics by applying blended learning(BL) strategy. According to ADDIE instructional design model, this study was conducted in the following procedure: analysis, design/development, implementation, and evaluation. In the stage of design and development, the selected unit was converted into a practical problem-based unit, and practical problem-based teaching. learning process plans were designed in detail by using BL strategy. An online study room for practical problem-based home economics instruction grounded in BL strategy was prepared by using Edunet(http://community.edunet4u.net/${\sim}$consumer2). Eight-session lesson plans were mapped out, and study aids for students and materials for teachers were prepared. In the implementation stage, the first-session teaching plans that dealt with a minor question 'what preparations should be made to become a wise consumer' were utilized when instruction was provided to 115 eighth graders who were in three different province, and the other one was in a middle school in the city of Daejeon. The experimental teaching was implemented for two weeks in the following procedure: preliminary program, pre-online learning, main instruction and post- online learning. The preliminary program was carried out in a session in the classroom, and pre-online learning was provided before the main instruction was given in a session in the classroom. After the main instruction was completed, post-online learning was offered. In the evaluation stage, a survey was conducted on all the learners and teachers to find out their opinions and suggestions.

The higher thinking skills, such as creativity and problem-solving about a given problem, are difficult to assess and diagnose. For an accurate diagnosis of these higher thinking abilities, we need to fully observe learner's problem-solving process or learner's individual reports. However, in an online learning or virtual class environments, evaluation of learner's problem-solving process becomes more difficult to diagnose. The best way to solve this problem is through reporting by tracking learner's actions when he tries to solve a problem. In this study, we developed a module which can evaluate and diagnose student's problem-solving ability by tracking actions in MS-Office suite, which is used by students to solve a given problem. This module performs based on the learner's job history through user tracking. To evaluate the effectiveness of this diagnostic module, we conducted satisfaction survey from students who were preparing the actual MOS exams. As a result, eighty-one (81) of the participants were positive on the effectiveness of the learning system with the use of this module.

In Web Based Instruction, as evaluation of learning process means individual student's learning activity, it demands data on learning time, pattern, participation, environment in a specific learning contents. The purpose of this paper is to reflect analysis results of individual student's learning status in achievement evaluation using the most suitable web log mining to settle evaluation problem of learning process, an issue in web based instruction. The contents and results of this study are as following. First, conformity item for learning status analysis is determined and web log data preprocessing is executed. Second, on the basis of web log data, I construct student's database and analyze learning status using data mining techniques.

The purpose of this study was to develop a practical problem-based lesson plan for the "Understanding Myself and My Family" unit and to examine the effects of the lesson plan. Learning objectives and contents were selected, and a practical problem-based lesson plan for five sessions was developed and implemented. With 150 students participating in the study, a pre-test and post-test comprised of a questionnaire were conducted to explore the effectiveness of the lesson plan on the students' sex role characteristics, awareness of gender-role equity in occupational, familial and societal settings and of participation in household chores. Results from the post-test revealed that the students displayed androgynous sex-role characteristics, a heightened awareness of gender-role equity and a higher degree of participation in household chores after the five sessions. Assessment of the class was found to be very positive. Consequently the study showed that the lesson proved to be helpful for the students.

This study aimed to develop a teaching-learning process plan for the 'adolescent nutrition and dietary behavior' unit of middle school technology and home economics through blended learning teaching method. "Analysis-Design-Development-Evaluation and Revision" model developed by Korea Institute of Curriculum and Evaluation(KICE) was applied to developing the teaching-learning process plan. The authors analyzed subject contents suitable for blended learning, and then designed a teaching-learning process plan by selecting the topics, developing the teaching strategies, and deciding on the media and evaluation tools for each class. Based on the plan for each week, the final version of the teaching-learning process plan, handouts for activities, and evaluation tools were developed. The teaching-learning process plan was revised and supplemented based on the expert verification results. The developed teaching-learning process plan which applied blended learning method was considered suitable for the current curriculum, and the group presentation activities implimented in the online classes were found to encourage learners' participation and interest. Also, the developed teaching-learning process plan could be used in the online only environment without any issues depending on the intention of the classes, by the appropriate use of distance learning tools such as Paddles or Thinkerbells. The developed teaching-learning course plan is expected to be effectively used in either online or blended learning environment, as a means of helping adolescent students improve their dietary life.

When human beings acquire and develop knowledge through education, their prior knowledge influences the next learning process. As this is a fact that should be considered in machine learning, we need to examine the effects of controlling the order of training sequence on machine learning. In this research, the role of the supervisor is extended to control the order of training samples, in addition to just instructing the target values for classification problems. The supervisor sequences the training examples categorized by SOM to the learning model which in this case is MLP. The proposed method is distinguished in that it selects the most instructive example from categories formed by SOM to assist the learning progress, while others use SOM only as a preprocessing method for training samples. The result shows that the method is effective in terms of the number of samples used and time taken in training.

The purpose of this study is to develop a project-based teaching-learning instruction to solve the problems in family life. The developed process can be a practical plan to activate environmental education centered on living environment problems curriculum of Home Economic Education[HEE]. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, the curriculum of HEE and environmental education categories were compared and analyzed. The study selected 10 themes and developed a project-based HEE teaching-learning instruction with 8 sessions. The characteristics of the developed teaching-learning instruction are as follows. First, HEE curriculum included environmental knowledge, values and attitudes, competence, and practice and participation in environmental education and related categories in achievement standards and learning elements. Second, since HEE curriculum has a teaching-learning instruction plan based on project-based learning that allows learners to recognize and solve problems themselves was developed based on the real life-centered learning themes related to environmental education. It was also proposed that the subject of HEE has a high correlation with environmental competence and environmental practice, and thus environmental contents that can raise students' interests in society and environment should be added to the HEE curriculum. The teaching-learning instruction developed in this study can be used for classes such as HEE classes or free semeste. A follow up study would need to test the educational effects of this teaching and learning plan by implementing it to the actual class.

온라인 학습 환경을 효율적으로 구성하는 것은 학습자의 학습 성공을 촉진할 뿐만 아니라 학습과정의 이해에 절대적으로 필요한 일이다. 만일 학습자와 교수자가 효율적으로 교류하면 학습자가 느끼는 심리적 거리감은 상당히 최소화될 수 있을 것이다. 이 연구는 학습자들의 온라인 학습에서 교류적 거리의 구조 지각은 성별에 따라 달라지는가를 알아보고 온라인 환경에서의 수업만족도, 지속성, 학업성취도에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 구조의 하위영역이 무엇인지를 밝혀 학습자들의 학습효과를 체계적으로 높일 수 있는 온라인 환경의 요소를 탐색하는데 있다. 설문을 통해 수집된 자료는 연구 목적에 따라 다양한 분석을 실시하였다. 이 연구 결과 학습자의 일반적 특성인 성별에 따른 교류적 거리의 구조 지각수준은 의의있는 차이가 없었다(p>.05). 교류적 거리의 구조 지각수준과 학습자가 지각하는 수업만족도간에 의의있는 상관이 있었으며, 학습자의 학습 지속성과도 통계적으로 의의있는 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 학업성취도와 교류적 거리의 구조 지각수준 간에는 유의의한 차이가 발견되지 않았다(p>.05). 교류적 거리의 구조 하위영역 중 수업만족도에 대한 영향력이 큰 하위영역은 과정 상호 작용이며, 학습 지속성에 대한 영향력이 큰 하위영역은 내용 구성요인으로 나타났다.

This study sought to develop an integrated information literacy curriculum that would have a strong relationship with curricula through the standard themes abstracted from theme network structures, scan and cluster analyses of the information literacy curricula. In addition, this study also attempted to develop a teaching-learning model for the developed integrated information literacy curriculum. This study utilized the themes of information literacy instruction that have interdisciplinary characteristics as analysis criteria in analyzing the commonality of information literacy instruction and the subject curricula. The following characteristics were found from the analyzing the areas of commonality. Foremost, the first themes(the fields of basic learning skills and nature) which belongs to the fields of information society, library, information technology, collaborative skills were found to have many relationships with the subject curricula. Next, the second themes(the field of information problem solving capabilities) which is the core field of information literacy instruction showed a weak relationship with the subject curricula.
