In this study, we surveyed the students enrolled in the dental hygiene program to identify how academic self-efficacy and subjective happiness affect academic resilience and, therefore, to help in guidance and adaptation to college life for dental hygiene students. We conducted the self-administered survey by randomized inclusion of dental hygiene students from Daejeon and South Chungcheong Province. A total of 175 students were finally analyzed. The study result showed that subjective happiness and academic self-efficacy were the factors that affected academic resilience and explanatory power accounting for 25.6%. This study has provided a foundational basis for the development of programs to enhance students' adaptation to college life by providing guidance for dental hygiene students and suggesting factors related to adaptation to college life.

We have developed art and career convergence class for career recognition through drawing a neighborhood job map. Thus, we want to expand the students' career recognition. 3 Classes were conducted in 16 elementary school students from 5th to 6th. Through pre & post-questionnaire, and the interviews with the students' work, job recognition with job value and job prejudice, self-understanding and career attitude were analyzed. As follows. First, students' job recognition was expanded. The ability to identify the needs, values and purposes of jobs has improved. Changes in job values that all jobs are worth have occurred and job bias has changed. Second, the career attitude changed on the basis of self-understanding. Thus, in the context of deciding the job demanded by the society rather than the student's will, art and career convergence class was effective in career recognition.

In this paper, we study the effects on mathematical communication and disposition for the writing mathematics letters in secondary mathematics education. For this purpose we construct a experimental class and then analyse the students' change in those aspects after applying writing mathematics letters made some significant changes on the students communication in mathematics and disposition. First. the results for this purpose on regarding the enhancement of mathematical communication are effective. Second, the results on regarding the improvement of disposition are effective.

목적 : 청소년의 행태와 가족관계가 정신건강에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 중학생의 학교내외 생활지도 및 정신건강을 위한 프로그램 개발에 필요한 기본 정보를 제공하고자 함. 조사방법 : 원주의 한 남녀공학 중학교 3학년을 대상으로 2008년 11월 25일부터 12월 11일까지 설문조사를 실시함. 총 454명의 중학교 3학년 학생 중 377명이 조사에 참여하였음. 척도는 신체증상, 식사장해, 우울감, 대인관계, 무력감, 충동성 등 정신건강에 관한 6척도와 31개 항목으로 구성됨. 통계분석은 독립변수인 행태변수와 가족관계 변수를 교차분석을 시행하였고, 변수간의 평균간 차이검증은 t-test와 ANOVA를 시행하였고, 정신건강 관련요인 규명을 위하여 회귀분석을 실시함. 결과 : 성별에 따라 아침에 상쾌하게 눈이 떠지는지, 취침시각, 공부시간, 핸드폰 유무, 다이어트 경험, 운동 횟수, 취미여부가 통계적으로 유의하였음. 가족구성인원 변수에 따라 가족에게 고민상담, 집안 일 돕기가 통계적으로 유의하였음. 종속변수인 정신건강과 통계적으로 유의한 변수는 가족과 고민상담, 가족과 식사, 아침에 상쾌하게 눈이 떠지는지, 아침식사여부, 공부시간, 운동 횟수였음. 가족과 식사를 하는 학생들이 그렇지 않은 학생들보다, 그리고 12시 이전에 취침하는 학생들이 12시 이후에 취침하는 학생들보다 정신건강이 좋은 것으로 나타남. 토의 및 결론 : 중학생들의 정신건강 지도를 위해서는 행태변수와 가족관계 변수를 고려하는 것이 필요한 것으로 나타났음.

The aim of this study is to reflect Vygotsky's theory of Zone of Proximal Development and other scholars' scaffolding theories emboding the theory and to examine the effects of mathematics instruction by scaffolding. The subjects of this study consist of 8 fifth graders attending S elementary school which is located in San-Chung county. The teaching-learning processes were videotaped and analysed according to scaffolding components. The results between pretest and posttest regarding to fraction were compared and the responses of students to a questionnaire on the mathematical attitude before and after the teaching experiment. It concludes that mathematics instruction by scaffolding was effective to improve students' mathematical learning ability and positive mathematical attitude.

Scientific observation has been recognized as one of the fundamental aspects in scientific inquiry. However, more detailed discussions and practical guides for teachers' and students' understanding about the nature of scientific observation have not been conducted. Therefore, based on literature reviews, we described the nature of theory-laden scientific observation as 11 detailed statements. Using theses statements, we investigated science teachers' and students' recognition of each statement. According to results, certain aspects of theory-laden scientific observation were determined as important aspects to be considered for science teachers' in-service programs or for students' learning activities in understanding the nature of science.

본 논문에서는 클라이언트/서버 환경에서 교사가 평가 문제를 스스로 관리하는 동시에, 웹 상에서 학생들에게 학습 내용을 테스트하여 학생들의 학습 능력 수준을 손쉽게 파악할 수 있도록 하는 대화형 학생 평가 시스템을 개발하였다. 본 논문에서 구현한 시스템은 과목별 채점 결과를 학급별과 개인별로 통계 처리하여 보여주며, 또한 과목 주제별로 정답 비율을 통계 처리함으로써 학생 개개인 수준을 분석하는데 편리하도록 설계되어 있다. 또한 학생들에게는 웹 상에서 푼 문제에 대한 자신의 채점 결과와 문제 풀이 부분을 즉시 볼 수 있도록 하여 재학습 및 보충학습의 효과를 얻을 수 있도록 하였다. 이로써 교사는 학생 수준에 적합한 교수·학습 방법으로 학생들을 개별 지도할 수 있어 기존의 교사 주도적이고 획일화된 주입식 교육 방식의 문제점을 해결하고자 하였으며, 학생 역시 자신의 수준에 적합한 교육 내용을 제공받을 수 있어 학습 의욕을 향상시킬 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze how the teaching activities which used EXCEL influence the specialized high school underachieved students. They have difficulties in making use of various representations for better understanding of function. EXCEL is helpful for learning function because it enables the students to use real life materials in math learning as well as formulates Tabular, Algebraic and Graphical which represent function. Furthermore, the students in specialized high school also have the experience of using EXCEL while studying other subjects. For that reason they have no burdens and fears on using EXCEL in learning activities. Utilizing EXCEL in the classroom gives an expectation that it helps to have interests on studying function and prepare for the next learning in the end. Research classes were conducted in a group of five students who have different hopes of career and a variety of mathematical interests. Though the students couldn't transfer Algebraic to Graphical in the diagnostic evaluation, they could resolve the problem of connections between Graphical, Tabular and Algebraic in the process perspectives, and could also express graphical representation by linking object perspectives with process perspectives. Therefore, they solved the connection problem of Tabular, Algebraic and Graphical in the object perspectives. As a result, the students could make transitions between Algebraic and Graphical in object perspectives through the classes applying EXCEL. Consequently, teaching the students with underachievement utilizing EXCEL enables them to recover their interests on math and it helps them to complete their following curriculum.

The study presented an online class case focusing on G University's writing course, and analyzed students' satisfaction. Through this, it aimed to analyze the possibility of online education and to explore efficient operation of online writing lectures. According to the result of looking into the online writing class run by G University, students' satisfaction with the online writing class was high. Despite the limited circumstances, students' participation in the class was high and they also actively participated in online correction. However, there was also a challenge to address. Online writing education showed limitations in terms of smooth communication with students. Correction of writing can be done online sufficiently but the limitations of communication should be supplemented to improve the completeness of interactive education. In addition, most of the students participated in online correction, but some did not participate. It is necessary to encourage students to participate voluntarily to make online classes take roots. After all, for the effective operation of online writing classes, strategies and systems for teaching and learning should be prepared for utilization of various educational video media, sufficient learning of theory and practice of writing, and smooth communication between professors and students. Only when these conditions are met, online writing classes will be able to operate steadily.

'Divisor and multiple' is the topic included both in the elementary and in the secondary mathematics curriculum, but there has been lack of research on it. It has been reported that students have a difficulty in understanding the meaning of the greatest common divisor (GCD) and the least common multiple (LCM), while they can find out GCD and LCM. Against the lack of research on how to overcome this difficulty, this study designed teaching methods with a model for visualization to emphasize the meanings of divisor and multiple in finding out GCD and LCM, and implemented the methods in one fourth grade classroom. A questionnaire was developed to explore students' solution methods and interviews with focused students were implemented. In addition, fourth-grade students' thinking was compared and contrasted with fifth-grade students who studied divisor and multiple with the current textbook. The results of this study showed that the teaching methods with a specific model for visualization had a positive impact on students' conceptual understanding of the process to find out GCD and LCM. As such, this study provides instructional implications on how to foster the meanings of finding out GCD and LCM at the elementary school.
