컴퓨터 및 네트워크 기술의 발전은 대학 교육에도 많은 변화를 가져오고 있다. 본 연구에서는 웹/멀티미디어를 통한 통계교육용 통합 소프트웨어 iSTAT을 소개한다. 이 소프트웨어는 통계 초보자들을 위한 교육의 일환으로 전통적인 강의 동영상과 전자책(e-book)을 포함하고 있고, 아울러 복잡한 통계이론의 이해를 돕기 위해 고안된 통계강의 보조시스템 CATS와 통계자료분석 실습용 통계패키지 S-Link, 그리고 배운 이론에 대한 평가 모듈이 있다. 이밖에도 관련 이론에 대한 유용한 웹사이트에 링크를 할 수 있다. 이 종합 시스템을 초보자에게 제공함으로서 통계라는 학문을 보다 쉽고 실제 응용이 가능한 학문으로 보급되기를 기대한다.

Recently, most firms have difficulties in predicting business context due to uncontrollable factors such as natural disasters, terrorism, social and political interests, as well as market factors such as rapid technological change, diversification of customer needs, and intensification of competition with competitors, thereby increasing the importance of risk management. The purpose of this study is to analyze trends of the risk management field concentrating on SCM, which is increasingly interested, and to identify key researches in this field and provide useful academic information. This study collected the information of the articles published in journals using the Scopus database, and analyzed both the network generated by keywords proposed in the articles and the network generated by the information for citations and co-authorship.

This study is to explore and compare the main research area of national and international universities, figure out the differences of the research trends depending on national and international universities, and suggest which area Korea universities could focus on and head to. The study is conducted on the fields of 'Communication and Media' in humanities and 'Electrical Engineering' in engineering for the cases of 10 national and international universities. The data is based on the 3 years journals published between 2009 and 2011 by 10 universities, and analyzed using network analysis. The data is processed with three steps and visualized using Ucinet, Gephi, Netdraw program. These result show, in case of 'Communication and Media', the focus of the universities in Korea mainly on the classical research fields with only a few new research area comparing with international universities. In case of 'Electrical Engineering', national and international universities covers various areas, from classic ones to emerging ones. But the specific research areas are different. These results suggest the research areas which ares the universities in Korea will pursue in near future.

We identified a competition network which has never been studied before and investigated the relationship between centrality of participants in singing competition and their winning percentage within the competition network. We collected competition data from 'Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend', which is a Korean television music competition program, and constructed a competition network. We calculated centrality and winning percentage and analyzed their relationship using correlation analysis, regression analysis, and visualization. There are four main findings in this research. First, a competition network is a scale-free network whose degree distribution follows a power law. Second, there is a logarithmic relationship between the count of competition and closeness. Third, winning percentage converges to approximately 60% for players who have participated in more than 20 competitions. Lastly, a strength of opponents affects approximately 23% of winning percentage for players with less than 20 competitions. The academic significance of this study is that we pioneered the definition of the competition network and applied social network analysis method. Another significant contribution of this paper is that we found explicit patterns between the centrality and winning percentage, suggesting ways to improve social relationship in competition network and to increase winning percentage.

In various disciplines, researchers, not single researchers, tend to cooperate to study the same topic. There are many studies to analyze the collaborative form of various researchers through the social network analysis method, but there are few such studies in the computer field. In this paper, we analyze the characteristics of network and various groups of researchers through the social network analysis technique of the co-authors of the Journal of Korea Institute of Information and Communication Engineering, and analyze the degree centrality, the between centrality and edge weight. As a result of the analysis, many groups were extracted from the co-author's network, but the top 20 groups accounted for more than 50% of the total, also, we could find a pair of researchers who do joint research with a very high frequency. These Co-author networks are expected to be the basis for in-depth research on the subject and direction of research through future researches.

The presidential inaugural address is a very useful means of presenting the national vision and conveying the president's political philosophy and policy direction to the people. For this reason, analyzing the address will help to understand the president him/herself and the presidential times. The address can be analyzed in various academic fields, but in this study, it was considered as only content and analyzed based on the network. It is widely used for word cloud analysis based on the frequency of words appearing in the address. If it is analyzed based on a network, it will be a useful method because it is possible to derive the context contained in the sentence. The entire network of the addresses of past presidents of the Republic of Korea was established and structural factors were presented. The president and political direction were derived by comparatively analyzing the key words derived from the network and the word cloud. The characteristics of the address were presented by comparing and analyzing key words and closeness centrality, which is a structural factor of the network, by constructing a network of each president's inaugural address. It is expected that the network-based analysis of past presidential inaugural addresses can ultimately be used as data for understanding and evaluating presidents.

본 고에서는 최근 들어 분산적이고 자율적인 통신네트워크가 등장하면서 이러한 시스템을 분석하기 위한 도구로서 주목 받고 있는 게임이론의 간단한 소개를 목적으로 하고 있다. 특히 게임이론이 통신분야와는 다른 학문영역에서 주로 연구되어 왔다는 사실을 감안하여, 아직까지는 게임이론에 대해서 친숙해질 기회를 가지지 못했던 통신공학 관련 독자들을 대상으로, 게임이론의 기본적인 개념과 통신시스템에 관한 문제들 중에서 게임이론의 적용이 활발히 이루어지고 있는 몇 가지 대표적인 분야를 간단히 소개하고자 한다.

학문 간의 전통적 경계가 허물어지고, 기술 융합이 경제체제와 사회구조를 급격히 변화시키는 4차 산업혁명시대가 다가오고 있다. 스마트제조(smart manufacturing)는 인간, 기술, 정보의 융합을 통해 제조업의 전략적 혁신을 도모하고자 하는 패러다임으로서 ICT와 제조기술을 융합하고자 하는 기술이다. 또한 스마트공장(smart factory)은 이러한 기술 융합을 통하여 공장의 설비, 장비와 공정이 지능화되어 네트워크로 연결되고, 생산데이터와 정보가 실시간으로 공유 활용되어 최적화된 생산운영이 가능한 공장으로, 공장 간의 협업적인 운영이 지속되는 지능형 ICT융합 제조시스템을 말한다. 이 글에서는 제조업 ICT융합과 스마트화, 그리고 스마트공장의 개념, 구성과 관련 동향에 대해 소개하고자 한다.

Research on regional innovation has recently emphasized the significance and necessities of global networks. However, theoretical arguments have not provided the answers for how global networks are actually formed and work, and the related discussions have not been cohesive while introducing separate concepts originated from diverse disciplines without connecting them with each other. This paper intends to critically review theoretical concepts on spatialities of regional innovation networks and demonstrate limits of each concept, arguing that a synthetic perspective is necessary for understanding how global innovation networks work. The author introduces, specifically, the concept of transnational ethnic communities, which has been recently given much attention to investigate global innovation networks, and provide its theoretical and policy implications.

Rapid globalization process is applying to Science field in Korea. Until now, most researches and government's announcement used to examine the scientific level of Korea by using the number of publications in the SCI Journals. I investigate other aspects of the scientific globalization: a scientific collaboration trend, participations of foreign researchers, and the national level of collaboration networks. There are increasing patterns in collaboration and foreign researchers' participation, and the Impact Factors of the Journals were preceded by inflating trend in the participations of foreign researchers. Also, the breadth and the density are different from each science fields in the national level of collaboration networks. These findings are related to the process of globalization in the Korean science journals and the science fields.
