The subjects of this study were 415 children in the first to third grade selected from 4 primary schools. Among them, 212 children belong to the experimental group, and 203 children were in the control group. The program was provided respectively to first, third and fifth grade children for 2, 4 and 6 teaching-hours from 2013.1.1 to 2013.12.19. To measure the effects of the program, the knowledge and attitudes on/toward smoking, self-concept were used as the research tools. Before and after program-implementation, there were significant differences in knowledge of smoking, but no differences in attitudes and self-concept. A smoking prevention program for primary school children should be applied step-by-step in conjunction with the regular education curriculum. In addition, the program should aim for long-term effects rather than short-term effects.

This study analyzed the trends and causes of the decline in Korean students' positive experiences about science (PES). To do this, 4th to 10th grade students were sampled by grade at general elementary, middle, and high schools in Seoul, and then a questionnaire was administered to ask the students about their PES and the causes for their decline. The results of one-way ANOVA for Test for Indicators of Positive Experiences about Science (TIPES) revealed that there were no statistically significant differences according to grade and school level in the overall mean of TIPES scores. However, the results were slightly different for each sub-component. That is, in 'science academic emotion,' the mean of elementary school students was statistically significantly higher than that of middle school students. In addition, the mean of 4th graders was significantly higher than the mean of middle school 1st graders, middle school 3rd graders, and high school 1st graders, respectively. The mean of high school students was statistically significantly higher than that of middle school students in 'science-related career aspiration.' In the 'science-related self-concept', 'science learning motivation,' and 'science-related attitude,' the differences in scores according to grade and school level were not statistically significant. The main causes of the decline in each sub-components of PES were somewhat different depending on the school level. Based on these results, the ways to improve students' PES were sought according to grade and school level.

본 연구는 1992학년도부터 2008학년도까지의 수학과 중등교사 신규임용후보자 선정 경쟁시험(이하 중등교사 임용시험)과 2009학년도의 개정 시행된 시험(2008년 11월 9일), 그리고 이에 앞서 한국교육과정평가원에서 시행한 2009학년도 수학과 중등교사 임용시험 모의평가(2008년 6월 14일 시행)을 분석하고 평가문항의 내용별 분포와 적절성을 검토함으로써 수학과 중등교사 임용시험의 개선방안을 모색하기 위하여 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하고 이에 대한 분석을 하였다. 수학전공과목 임용시험 출제 평가문항의 내용영역별 분류는 어떠한가? 수학과 중등교사 임용시험 평가 문항들의 각 영역별 출제 빈도수는 어떠한가? 전국 사범대학교 수학교육과의 교육과정은 어떠한가? 임용시험 평가문항들이 사범대 수학교육과의 기본 이수과목을 포함한 교육과정을 적절하게 반영하고 있는가? 향후 중등교사 임용시험의 개선점에는 무엇이 있겠는가? 각 연구문제에 대한 분석결과에 대해 심층적으로 알아보고 중등교사 임용시험 평가문항들과 전국의 사범대학교 수학교육과의 기본 이수과목들에 대한 관련성에 대해 알아볼 것이다.

This paper introduces the projection methods by nonlinear regression model. To predict the student numbers, a log model and an involution model as the kind of a trend-extrapolation method are used. Empirical evidence shows that a projection by log model is better than by involution model with the confidence interval estimations for the coefficients of determination.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the secondary school students' reasoning types in regards to measurement and to get implications for science education. The subjects were 197 middle school students and 200 high school students. The PMQ1 written instrument was used to explore students' ideas. Students' ideas about measurement were classified in two types of point and set reasoning. The reasoning types distribution were analyzed by grade and measurement step such as data collection, data processing, and data comparison. Reasoning types distribution by measurement step indicated that set reasoning type showed high figures in data processing, but point reasoning type appeared in data collection, and data comparison. Set reasoning type increased significantly by grade in data comparison. The majority of students recognized that the true value of the measurand can not be determined.

7차교육과정에서의 초등 컴퓨터교육은 재량활동시간 또는 특별활동시간에 단순한 응용프로그램(워드프로세서, 엑셀, 파워포인트 등)을 활용하거나 인터넷을 이용한 정보검색 수준이다. 따라서, 문제해결 능력이나 논리적 사고력을 향상시키는데는 미흡하다. 인지능력이 뛰어난 초등학교 5, 6학년에는 이러한 컴퓨터 활용방법 교육보다 컴퓨터 기초원리 또는 프로그래밍교육이 필요하다. 본 논문은 프로그래밍교육을 재량 특별활동 시간에 학년별(5, 6학년) 또는 통합학년으로 학습할 수 있게 프로그래밍교육과정 60차시 분을 개발하여 제안하였다. 개발한 교육과정은 교수 및 학습자의 요구사항을 최대한 반영하기 위해 설문조사 등을 통해 얻은 기초자료를 참조하였다. 제안한 교육과정이 초등학교 5, 6학년에 적합하고 우수한지를 검토하기 위해 일부 차시의 교육과정으로 5, 6학년을 대상으로 재량활동시간에 직접 교수 학습한 후 자기평가, 설문조사를 실시하였다. 결과로 제안한 교육과정이 적합성과 우수성이 있다고 판단되었다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze connection of the field on 'Nutrition and Food' among grades in the Practical Arts and Home Economics. The subject of analysis is 'Practical Arts' textbook in elementary school and 'Home Economics' textbook in middle school and high school. The Practical Arts textbook of 5th, 6th grade and 5 Home Economics textbooks middle school 1st, 3rd and high school. First of all, it is arranged the aim and contents, used analysis connection frame. The following contents are to summarize the result. First, 'Nutrition and Food' unit is presented nutrition, food, meals management in textbook. Second, aim in curriculum is agreed with contents in curriculum, but how to description in textbook is needed agreements. Third, contents in elementary school and secondary school is connection to develope, but contents in middle and high school are repetition. With the results analyzing connection among text contents, it is concluded that contents' connection has more developed and repeated. Specially, contents of Nutrition are mostly developmental contents, contents of Food are that one part is developmental contents and the other part is repeated contents.

This study explored the longitudinal relationships between school life adjustment and the parents' neglect/abuse as perceived by children according to gender. The participants were 5th and 6th grade children and the instruments were parents' neglect/abuse scale and school life adjustment scale. Using Korea Youth Panel data of Child Youth Policy Institute of Korea, 5th and 6th grade data were analyzed. The results were as follows: Neglect/abuse as perceived by children were different according to their gender and grade. Children who had perceived more parents' neglect/abuse were more likely to have difficulty in school life adjustment. The results of this study suggest that the appropriate interventions for the parents' neglect and abuse is needed by showing the stability of the child's perception of the parents' neglect and abuse during the 5th-6th grade.

Students at Maritime University can expect to improve their understanding of the jobs they will perform in the future through long-term boarding in a one-year boarding practice that allows them to understand necessary work practices. Satisfaction with attending maritime college can also affect the job satisfaction and turnover intention of shipping industry workers after graduation. Therefore, by checking job satisfaction for each year of study, we intend to analyze and improve the curriculum or factors necessary for their future career choice. Based on previous studies, this study attempted to determine the effects of self-efficacy, teamwork, and self-leadership of maritime college students on job satisfaction through career planning, .analyze the factors that affect job satisfaction by year of study, and empirically confirm the factors students need in each year. The analysis, found that self-efficacy had the greatest influence on job satisfaction, and the effects of teamwork and self-leadership were similar in size.

The purpose of this study is to rethink the importance of manipulative materials and to extract of manipulative materials program and its application methods. Activity, construction, and operation is stressed in the elementary mathematics. For this, various technological tools and manipulative materials is emphasized in mathematics teaching-learning methods. Applications of manipulative materials in the elementary mathematics is gradually increased together with curriculum revisions and textbook developments. As a result, tangram, geo-board etc., many tools ate introduces to school mathematics. This study is executed in this contexts. To achieve this, We introduce Australian 'Maths With Attitude' program. This program is composed of the primary level and secondary level. Each level consists of four domains - Number & Computation, Space & Logic, Chance & Measurement, Pattern & Algebra -, and each domains is made up of 20 tasks(i.e. manipulative materials) and programs. This study takes the focus to 5-6 grades programs in the mid of the primary level. First, We introduce 'Monkeys & Bananas'(Number & Computation) and 'Triangles & Colours' (Pattern & Algebra) tasks, and investigate the examples of lessons using these tasks. Second, We think the probability of these tasks' application and draw examples in the elementary mathematic textbooks. Through this works, We respect teaching-learning methods is rich and various in the elementary mathematics lessons.
