The Survey of Construction Workers' Preference for Introducing the Emotional Safety in School Facility Construction - Focused on Emotional Safety Sensor and Emotional Facilities - (학교건축공사에 감성안전도입을 위한 근로자 선호도 조사 -감성안전센서와 감성안전 시설물 중심으로-)

  • The deaths caused by industrial accidents during the construction of the mortality rate is considerably higher than in other industries. To prevent such a disaster workers and to minimize unsafe behavior measures to be drawn, and construction companies recently to stimulate the emotions of the workers to participate in voluntary activities are safe. In this study, the construction workers can stimulate emotions and activities on the environment by examining the preferences of the workers on-site management will want to take advantage. This study revealed that the construction workers prefer the incentive most and then working environment.

Safety Accidents and Physical Fatigue of School Foodservice Employees (학교급식 조리종사원의 안전사고 실태 및 신체적 피로도 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the safety accidents and physical fatigues of school foodservice employees. Out of 300 questionnaires distributed from December 1~20, 2011, 276 responded. After excluding 54 incomplete questionnaires, 222 (usage rate: 74%) were examined in the final analysis. First, our results showed that in terms of safety accidents, most received bruises (92.8%), followed by burns (73.0%), cuts and lacerated wounds (69.4%), sprains (47.7%), falls (42.8%), fractures/dislocations (31.5%) and electric shock (2.7%). Second, we found that the average degree of physical fatigue of school foodservice employees was 3.65 based on the 5-point Likert scale. Specifically, pain in the arms and wrist was rated the highest, at 4.18. Third, results showed that the factors affecting physical fatigue were 'class of school' (P<0.05), 'frequency of meal serving per day' (P<0.05), 'no. of meals served per day' (P<0.001), 'no. of meals per employee' (P<0.05) and 'warm-up exercise before starting work' (P<0.05). This means that foodservice employees serving middle schools, serving meals three times per day, serving more than 1,000 meals per day, and serving more than 111 meals per employee perceive higher levels of physical fatigue. In addition, the physical fatigue of those who perform warm-up exercises before starting work was significantly lower than those who do not perform warm-up exercises before work (P<0.05). In conclusion, the frequently occurring major safety accidents of school foodservice employees were bruises and burns. An increase in workload also leads to the increasing physical fatigue of school foodservice employees. Thus, to lower the physical fatigue of school foodservice employees, school foodservice employees should be encouraged to perform warm-up exercises before staring work and new staffing guidelines for school foodservice employees should be developed.

The demand analysis of safety-experience-education-facilities for experiential type safety education (체험형 안전교육을 위한 학생 안전체험교육시설의 수요 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to present the number of necessary facilities for the establishment of safety education facility for students through the analysis of situation and demand of safety experience education facilities so as to effectively implement safety education based on 7 standards of school safety education. 7 standards of school safety education and experience programs of the existing safety experience center were analyzed and the experience program was extracted based on the analysis. Based on the derived program, the experience space was set up, and the existing safety experience facility was analyzed accordingly. Based on this, the number of necessary facilities was suggested by using the calculation formula derived to estimate the scale of the facility expansion. This is the result of estimating the required number of facilities based on the 2015 school age population. In the long run, it is necessary to calculate the appropriate ratio by actually comparing the unit construction costs of the facilities and the vehicles. In consideration of this, it is necessary to plan for the long-term necessary facilities and vehicles for the construction plans.

A Study on Actual Sanitary Management Conditions and Education Plan of School Foodservice Employees (학교 급식 조리 종사원의 위생 관리 실태와 위생 교육 방안에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to present an actual sanitary management conditions and an education plan for school foodservice employees. For assumption verification of this study, basis statistical analysis, factor analysis, and reliability analysis using SPSS V14.0KO were used. Also, regression analysis was conducted for it. The sanitary management actual conditions were shown that a foodservice practice level of middle and high schools was higher than elementary schools. In a scale way, sanitary management conditions of small group schools(500 students below) were lower than large group schools(500~1,000 students). Therefore, it was demanded especially for their employees to manage elementary schools and small group schools. It showed that sanitary consignment education was held irregularly at outside was more effective than the education was held regularly at inside. All the related workers at school foodservice should supply safe foods to schools through more effective sanitary education plan based on the results of effective actual sanitary management conditions.

A Study on the Expanded Application of the Educational Facility Safety Certification Toward Libraries and Student Training Facilities (도서관과 학생수련시설에 대한 교육시설 안전인증 요소의 확대적용 방안 연구)

  • In order to create a safe and comfortable educational environment and improve the quality of education, the 'Act on the Safety and Maintenance of Educational Facilities' was enacted in 2021. Accordingly, 'Educational Facility Safety Certification Operation Regulations' was established. Safety certification targets are classified into 'kindergarten', 'elementary/middle/high school and special schools', and 'university and other educational facilities'. Other educational facilities include libraries and student training facilities. However, student training facilities and libraries are different from schools as facilities for special activities such as training and reading. Therefore, the unique characteristics of the facility must be reflected in the 'Educational Facility Safety Certification Operation Regulations'. This study analyzed how the 'Educational Facility Safety Certification Operation Regulation' reflects the special characteristics of student training facilities and libraries that are 'other educational facilities'. The previous certification system and guidelines were compared and analyzed, and the on-site survey method was used. Finally, it was confirmed that each of the library and the student training facility needed 9 detailed criteria reviews.

  • We study the level on the knowledge, attitudes, and practice of primary school (grades 3-6 students ) for the safe use of smart devices, and identify student status for the safe use of smart devices, and suggests ways of appropriate data collection, analyzing of data. Through this research, for the safe use of smart devices in education showed that the effect is very insignificant and the knowledge and practice of smart devices are widely recognized. We will suggests the suitable education contents for the smart devices safe use for primary school students. These education will be made up of 'smart devices safety using' and we will expect that primary students will be able to cultivate the 'smart devices security awareness'.

  • In this paper, we propose a safety management system which prevents the occurrence of crime and accident from rising in school neighborhood. This system offers a monitoring method for safety of children which make intelligent space from environment and location sensing data through wireless communication between sensors attached to children and fixed sensor network in school neighborhood. Also, We propose a strategic safety management plan using opportunistic network when node is out of school zone network. Many students can easily receive the service of low cost from WSN-based School zone network than existing service from GPS individually by using our scheme.

A Study on the Effectiveness of the 4th Industrial Technology Application for School Building Construction Work (학교건물 시공을 위한 4차 산업기술 적용의 효과성에 대한 연구)

  • This study proposed the basic data that contributes to inducing an effective construction plan through the application of the 4th industrial technology to construct a school building that can guarantee the five goals of construction management: cost, process, quality, safety, and environmental management. To this end, 3D printing, drones, robot automation, and augmented reality technologies that are highly usable in construction sites were identified for construction workers. As part of this, related literature and research data were investigated. The selected 4th industrial technology was investigated and analyzed on how it was used for cost, process, quality, safety, and environmental management in a detailed school construction process. As a result of the analysis, significant results were found for the application plan of the 4th industrial technology in school construction for cost, process, quality, safety, and environmental management.
