  • The purpose of this paper is to quickly identify school parents, teachers, students, community needs and opinions for curriculum organizing and the implementation of an online survey system for operating educational activities. Online survey system should be implemented based on Limesurvey to reduce costs and administrative costs. Limesurvery is available without the development of the separate program and offers the form of web-based template system, complete design, layout. Also, Limesurvey offers basic statistical analysis of survey data. Limesurvey can be executed by installing the program on a web hosting, typing database information. Limesurvey can be made a graph of the statistical results. Besides, Limesurvery can be stored in the form of HTML, Word, Excel, CSV Files and can be stured as basic datas for SPSS or PASW, R data, other statistical processing programs. If we could be operate Limesurvey in the form of open source-based survey program in elementary school, we could be reduced teacher's unnecessary work for statistics and overcame the problem of offline survey system.

The students in J specialized highschool for vocational education, located in D city participated in the program of improving learning motivation for students with learned helplessness. We selected 15 out of them as the subjects who were judged to be suitable for this study through 'Convenience sampling'. The research methods of this study is qualitative research methods by observation and in-depth interviews. The results are as in the following. First, daily activities after school of the specialized highschool students with learned helplessness can be divided into 3 groups; leisure activities, learning activities, and sustenance activities. Most of the students spend a lot of time doing leisure activities such as playing with a computer, watching TV, doing something with their friend, and killing time. • This study analyzed how 30 runaway and homeless youths residing in the youth welfare service centers had achieved self-reliance using grounded theory. Most interviewees ran away because they had been 'badly cared and/or abused in their families and schools(Condition)'. They had moved out of home for safety, but instead ended up getting involved in violence, debt and crime and became homeless and were 'off the normalized socialization track(Contexts)'. They were 'admitted to the youth welfare service centers(Phenomena)' and took it as an opportunity to change their lives. 'Resources and support(Intervening Conditions)' provided by the centers helped them to 'search for a strategy(Strategies)' to achieve 'self-reliance and a successful transition to adulthood(Consequences)'. This study also discussed the policy implications of helping homeless teenagers to deal with the difficulties which they might have experienced in pursuing their goals of self-reliance.

  • The primary purpose of this study is to analyze the learning activities of "the Reading a Book per Semester" with the goal of finding ways to collaborate with the school library. "the Reading a Book per Semester" is a program that requires students to read during the timetable-designated "Korean" class instead of encouraging students to read outside of class, as has been the case thus far. The program was designed by 3 parts: reading, sharing, and formulating. However, an analysis of 11 Korean textbooks and 22 approaches to the program showed that the model has shifted to . Under this new model, schools could expand each step in the following ways: utilize the school libraries more as the book search space during the selection process; include writing a reading diary in the reading process; and further encourage students to read outside of the classrooms in the formulating step. If these amendments were to be applied, they would strengthen the educational purpose of the school libraries within schools.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate and compare the general health behaviors of elementary school children in single- and two-parent families and to identify factors affecting health behavior. The study subjects were 1,023 students attending S elementary school in G province. Data was collected from March 5, 2018 to March 16, 2018. Collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, the chi-square test, and logistic regression analysis using SPSS/WIN Ver. 22.0. The results of children with a single-parent mother were significantly different for 'regular breakfast' (p=.015) and 'counseling with homeroom teachers' (p=.019), and the results of children with a single-parent father were significantly different for 'wash hands before going out and before meals' (p=.035), 'someone you can talk to when you are worried' (p=.005), and 'often lonely and depressed' (p=.007). Logistic regression analysis showed that children with single-parent families were 7.670 times more likely to seek 'counseling with homeroom teachers' than children with two-parent families (p=.011). The results of this study provide basic data on the health behaviors of elementary school students with single-parent families.

  • With the global rise in interest in competency-based education, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea outlined six core competencies in the 2015 revised curriculum, essential for future society's 'creative and convergent talent'. This study introduces an HTE-STEAM constellation education program designed to develop the core competencies outlined in the 2015 revised curriculum and address the limitations of hands-on astronomy education. The program's effectiveness was assessed through a pilot test. The program was implemented at G Library, an out-of-school education site in Cheongju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do, targeting students from 3rd to 6th grade. The study's results include: First, the HTE-STEAM program significantly impacted all aspects of the STEAM attitude test except for 'self-concept', particularly influencing 'science and engineering career choice', 'consideration', and 'communication'. Thus, it has led to positive outcomes in the cultivation of future society's core competencies, including 'creative thinking skills', 'communication skills', and 'community skills'. Secondly, the HTE-STEAM constellation education program, despite covering the challenging concept of spacetime, was deemed easy by many students. Observations of students applying the spatial concepts they learned by using teaching aids suggest that the program was effective in enhancing students' understanding of the spatial structure of the sky and the universe. Additionally, this program aligns with the 2022 curriculum's updated standards for understanding the sky's spatial structure. Consequently, the HTE-STEAM constellation education program positively cultivates future society's core competencies and serves as a valuable complement to night observation practices in schools.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the direction of future Christian ministry by examining the educational/pastoral ministries of Korean churches during the COVID-19 period. The study used the case study method, where pastors from four different churches were the primary sources of data. Although each church has its own unique ministry, special early morning prayer meetings, family worship services, family Vacation Bible Schools, Bible writing and reading programs, and on-line discipleship training programs were common. In addition, each church implemented special programs that reflected the characteristics and needs of the church, like a talk show, visible radio, surfing meeting, and book-making of Bible manuscripts. Based on these results, ministry programs reflecting the church's pastoral philosophy, strengthening community consciousness, restoring the spiritual function of the family, utilizing online teaching methods, and psychological support for the underprivileged are proposed. In addition, the recovery of Christian publicity and the help from denomination or specialized institutions to develop the programs and online materials were suggested. Through this study, the direction of educational/pastoral ministry in a time of COVID-19 and post-COVID-19 is proposed.
