The purpose of this study is to help the education of fire safety of technical high schools through the investigation of skills club students's recognition on fire safety in Seoul city. To achieve the purpose, 56 skills students who going to skills competition were surveyed for 3days from Jun. 19 to 21, 2006. The Results of this study are as follows ; First, a large numbers of students in technical high school placed low value on the importance of safety in life, and fire safety was very important, however, lower than structural safety. Second, the education of fire safety was arranged by school authorities, carried out only by the half of these school. It was necessary that the specific education of fire safety for major and skills competition was hosted by a department. Third, it was necessary that the system all accidents were certainly reported by the related student and the method prevented a recurrence. 4th, the field of fire safety in Industrial Introduction subject of national curriculum was satisfied by students. And if this subject revised, students wanted to extend the contents of fire safety and to orient to practical technique.

Schools should be a safe and comfortable environment for learning and studying. However, school facilities are usually used by many students during restricted time. These conditions such as many people, restricted time and space mold a chain of school accidents. In Korea, the school accidents are increasing annually and many students experience 'big or small incidents' and are exposed to 'potential accidents'. In this study, I investigated the present situation of the elementary schools' accidents in In-Cheon area, and analyzed the various characteristics of them. The accidents in elementary school have tendencies of occuring frequently in higher grade and boy students relatively. As analyzed in the place of accident, classrooms have a set of factors of accident, on the other hand, corridor and staircase show single distinct cause of safety problem. And also, the major portion of accidents is associated with the door in restroom and entrance space. In order to reduce the severity and frequency of school accidents, there should be needed multilateral and interdisciplinary approach. To achieve the safe school environments, this study focused on establishing a foundation of practical directions in designing elementary schools.

차도 많고 사람도 많아진 요즘, 그만큼 교통사고의 위험은 늘어만 가고 있다 여러 가지 교통대책이나 질서 캠페인에도 불구하고 교통질서는 제대로 자리 잡힐 기미가 보이지 않는다. 특히 학교주변의 거리질서는 유난히 복잡하기만 해, 자녀들은 학교에 보내는 것이 뭔지 불안한 맘을 들게 한다. ‘교통할아버지’의 봉사활동은 이런 위험한 상황 속에서 아이들의 안전을 지키기 위해 시작되었다. 더불어서 할아버지들의 여가선용과, 정기적인 활동을 통한 건강관리에도 좋은 역할을 하고 있다고 한다. 내 손자 같은 아이들의 안전도 지켜주고, ‘나도 무엇인가 할 수 있다’는 자신감을 갖는 계기가 되었다는 ‘교통할아버지’들의 활동을 취재해 봤다.

지난 4월 22일 발생한 북한의 룡천역 폭발사고로 인하여 사망자수 150여명, 부상자수 1,300여명에 달하는 엄청난 재해가 발생하였다고 전해지고 있다. 룡천역을 중심으로 반경 500m 파일이 완파되었으며, 폭발 영향권도 4km에 달하였고 반경 500m 안에는 역사와 학교 및 4-5층 규모의 아파트가 다수 있었기에 피해 규모가 더욱 컸다고 알려 졌다. 1990년대 들어 우리나라도 심대한 대형 재난사고를 당하였다. 성수대교 붕괴(1994), 대구지하철 공사장 가스폭발(1995), 삼풍백화점 붕괴(1995), 대구지하철 화재(2003) 등 잇따른 대형 참사는 우리의 위기관리 현실을 되돌아보게 하였고, 국민들은 언제 발생할지 모를 재난에 대한 불안감으로 그 어느 때보다 안전한 나라에 대한 열망이 강한 것이 사실이다.(중략)

The aim of this study is to identify ways to improve fire safety management of elementary and junior high schools, which can prevent potentially dangerous situations and establish a rapid response system for fire-related emergencies by analyzing existing fire safety management public institutions. We investigated the expertise, prevention ability, preparation ability, and operation form of fire safety managers working in elementary and secondary schools in Kangwon Province. A questionnaire composed of 26 items was completed by 238 fire safety managers. Results shows that the perception of fire safety management is considerably high, while the ability of the fire safety manager to prepare for and cope with an accident still needs improvement.

To prevent tire accidents, we developed an application that can check tire safety using the app-inventor and the bluetooth communication. The temperature sensor measures ambient temperature, the pressure sensor measures tire pressure, the laser sensor has a distance of more than 50mm, and an angle of 45° to measure for the optimal tire. We have developed an application that determines tire condition based on measured wear and tear levels, works through the Bluetooth module via App Inventor, and identifies tire condition and expected replacement condition on the user's mobile phone.

최근 2005년 기준으로 우리나라 어린이 교통사고율은 OECD 국가 총 28개국 나라 중 3위을 차지할 만큼 높다. 그 심각성에 입각하여 도로에서 어린이들을 안전하게 보호해야 한다는 여론이 점차 많이 제기되고 있다. 이에 대한 해결책으로 각 학교나 관계 당국은 어린이의 교통 안전 교육을 강조하고 안전 시설을 마련하고 있지만, 어린이가 돌발 상황을 인지하고, 대처하는 데에는 한계가 있다. 본 연구는 센서 네트워크를 이용한 위치 인식 기술을 활용하여 공원과 같은 공공 장소에서 어린이들이 예고없이 나올 경우 운전자에게 돌발 상황을 미리 경고해 어린이의 안전을 도모하여 교통사고의 예방을 돕는 시스템을 제안한다.

In hosting outdoor activities and school trips, safety issues are gaining serious attention lately. In addition to Sewol ferry tragedy and an incident at Kyungjoo Mauna Resort, there have been grown problems related to this crucial factor. This research analyzes negligent accidents occurred from domestic and foreign schools and aims to provide effective safety education and policy through comparative analysis between domestic and foreign cases. We mainly relied on documents such as newspapers, internet articles and legal papers to investigate cases and cooperated with relevant government departments for collecting references and setting agenda for safety supervision. The analysis on both domestic and foreign cases revealed that students abroad receive opportunities for first-hand experience regarding safety and systematic education, as safety maintenance is prioritized. Based on this culture, safety education should be habituated domestically, while participatory safety programs that students can actively involve must also be devised. Moreover, through preparation of entertaining contents such as SNS game programs, skits and activities employing multiple facilities and vehicles at school safety education, we must induce students to actively participate in the program with interests.

본 연구에서는 최근 학교 주변에서 발생하는 어린이 범죄 사고의 관리 및 예방을 위한 무선 센서 네트워크 기반의 스쿨존 안전관리 시스템을 제안한다. 학교 주변 무선센서네트워크 망 구축과 어린이들에게 부착되는 센서들을 통해 환경 및 위치 영상 센싱 정보들을 공간 지식화하여 안전과 관련된 서비스를 제공한다. 또한 스쿨존 망을 벗어나 통신이 되지 않는 어린이의 경우 기회주의적 네트워크를 통하여 관리할 수 있는 전략적 안전관리 방안을 제안한다.
