This study deals with the safety of roundabout. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors affecting the pedestrian accidents of roundabout near schools. In pursuing the above, this study gives particular attentions to comparatively analyzing the pedestrian accident by number of entry and circulatory lane. The traffic accident data from 2013 to 2015 are collected from TAAS data set of Road Traffic Authority. To develop the pedestrian accident model, the Poisson and negative binomial models has been utilized in this study. Such the dependent variable as the number of pedestrian accidents and the 24 independent variables as geometry, traffic volume and others are used. The main results are as follows. First, 3 Poisson and 2 negative binomial models(${\rho}^2$ of 0.153~0.426) which are all statistically significant are developed. Second, the common variable of models based on the number of circulatory roadway lane is analyzed to be the entry lane width and that of the number of entry lane is evaluated to be the design speed. Also specific variables are evaluated to splitter island, roundabout sign, number of approach road, bus stop and elementary school. Finally, the design speed might be expected to decrease the number of pedestrian accidents near schools.
The object of this paper is to design a school-zone safety management system based on context-aware, integrated with computing technology. When it occurs to kidnap of elementary school students, the monitoring device creates context information through a combination object extraction and context-aware technology and alarm administrator about an emergency situation. In addition, the proposed system that requires a human perspective, a railroad crossing, statistics research of traffic, and a variety of applications such as factory automation systems can be used to be the best choice.
In order to find out Elementary pre-service teachers' reflective thinking and experiment performance ability related with Photosynthesis Experiment in the Korea Elementary School Science Textbook, the research is conducted targeting Elementary pre-service teachers. They are asked to carry out the experiment and write their own report about the difficulties and solutions of exploration process. This study aims to analyze Elementary pre-service teachers' reflection and experiment performance ability on Photosynthesis experiment based on 10 groups' reports and presentation materials. Reflective thinking extracts 108 statements which is associated with the four types of the sentence 'Knowledge, Procedure, Orientation, Attitude' in 10 reports. There are many sentences about reflective thinking acquired through analysis of the photosynthesis experiment. reflective thinking about the newly discovered type or changed concepts through experimentation in Knowledge is at the highest frequency. 56 sentences in relation to the ability to perform experiments are extracted by adding 4 different types of reflective thinking in 10 groups shown the highest frequency group and the lowest frequency group's report through analyzing 4 steps 'Experimental preparation and safety accident prevention', 'Experiments performance', 'Experimental results and generalization', and 'Experimental results and feedback.' Results of the analysis showed that there are the biggest difference between the two groups in 'experiment results supplement and feedback step.' In the lowest group's report, there's no contents related with 'Computer-assisted information processing' in the 'Experimental results summary and generalization stage', 'Alternative reagents and materials research', and 'Devising alternative experiment methods'.
Accidents involving children are an important cause of death and disability. They also have enomorous financial implications. In order to prevent childhood accidents, research and education for safety should be strengthened. The purpose of this study was to determine how often young children have accidents and what factors affect the accident rate. The sample consisted of 771 children who were in the second, third and forth grades of two elementary schools located in Kyung-gi Province. One school had students from middle class families living in apartment complexes and the other, students from lower income families mainly living in single houses. The questionnaires included items on the occurance of accidents and the parents' attitudes regarding accidents during the academic year from March 1997 to February 1998. The Questionnaires were distributed to conventiently selected students to be compeleted by their parents and collected during the period of May 28, to June 6, 1998. The data were analyzed using SAS PC statistical package. The results of the study are as follows ; 1. Of 771 student subjects, 393 had 887 accidental injuries during the study period. 2. The month, the day and the time with the highest accident rate were May, Sunday, and between 1 and 4 p. m. each. 3. In the analysis of the location where the injury took place, the most frequent place was on around their homes followed by school and, then, inside the home 4. Most of the accidents were caused by carelessness on the part of the children and the most frequent type of injury was an abrasion. 5. Children most injured their legs 6. They were treated at home most often and usually emergency treatment was performed by family members with, disinfection being the main type of first aid. Cost of the treatment ranged from 8,000 to 20,000 won in most cases. 7. House type and parents' education level were statistically significant in chi-square analysis. 8. Parents educate their children about traffic safety most frequently followed by fire safety and, then, prevention of violence. 9. Parents think that prevention of violence should be the most important part of injury prevention education both at school and home. 10. To identify factors related to accident occurrence, multiple logistic regression was performed and the main factors were birth order and house type.

Cost of the treatment of the accident ranged from 10.000 to 30,000 won in most cases. 7. Students' personality. type of family composition. mother's age and parents' education level were statistically significant. As a conclusion. 1st to 3rd grade rural elementary students need their assessment for accident involving condition. This study gave a very useful and important data to prepare accident prevention teaching program and to prepare accident prevention strategies.

In order to solve like this problems stands the countermeasure of the dimension which is national certainly is necessary. But so far only the damage student and the parents have an interest in about like this problems and they hurt. We the smart phone of Android bases it will be able to solve like this problem points [ayp] from under planning and development boil the elementary student safe helper it will can use. When it uses the elementary student safe helper system which we propose before the accident occurs, it will grasp the state information of the student and it will be able to prevent an accident in advance. We will try to more efficient safe guard to elementary school student by real-time monitoring skill soon.

The purpose of this study was to develop, apply and evaluate the teaching learning plan for disabled experimental activity to evaluate the accessibility of middle school experimental facilities. Three main resources such as 2 hours teaching learning plan for disabled activity, recording sheets and evaluation sheets had been developed. The process plan had been applied 214 senior students in 7 middle schools purposely selected by areas, constructed years, number of stories of school during November to December, 2005. General accessible levels of middle school facilities was somewhat inadequate especially exterior slops, toilets, bowls were the most unaccessible ones. Most of all students had accidents and/or injuries in school environments from minor to major ones. Male Students were more likely than female Students to get injuries. Students experience of accidents and injuries and awareness of inconvenience, danger, needed facilities supported. the result of the accessibility levels evaluated by disabled activities. Students were generally satisfied with and positive to the teaching learning process plan developed and applied in this study. Students had improved critical Perspectives as well as awareness of inaccessible chances in the school facilities through the experimental process. The evaluation as differed by school characteristics and students' interests in disability.

This study was to investigate the recognition level of food safety from high school students(264 male, 276 female) in Chuncheon area using questionnaires. The results of the survey are summarized as follows : Regarding the general consciousness of the conditions of food safety, the proportion of the students who worry about it is higher, while 40.0% respond they are not concerned with it. The information pertinent to food safety was usually acquired from the mass media. As a fundamental reason responsible for the food safety accidents, they pointed out deficient sense of responsibility of the personnels who produce, distribute, and sell food products. As the most problematic materials threatening food safety, they pointed out heavy metals(24.8%), and subsequent responses were environmental hormones(24.4%), food additives(17.0%). The foods, for which they are most concerned about residual pesticides, were vegetables and fruits. High proportion of the students perceived that agricultural products are not safe from residual pesticides, and most of the students(92.4%) thought that residual pesticides are bad for their health. The examination on the food safety influenced by heavy metals reveals that 87.4% of the students thought the materials do influence food safety. As the food kind that is likely to be most polluted by heavy metals, they pointed out fishery products. The highest concern about processed food stuffs was the food additives. Most of the students thought that the containers of processed foods may be toxical. 25% of the students are more seriously considering food safety when they buy foods. High proportion of the students who responded they confirm safety-related matters at the time of food purchase thought much of food safety, while high proportion of those who didn't confirm those matters lay a great importance on the taste.

This study analyzes the risks of explosions of small LPG storage tanks installed at highway rest areas. For this purpose, the ranges of the effect of thermal radiation and overpressure caused by the BLEVE(Boiling Liquid Expansion Vapor Explosion)and VCE(Vapor Cloud Explosion) of a 2900-kg small LPG storage tank installed at highway rest areas were quantitatively evaluated by applying the Areal Location of Hazardous Atmospheres program. The ranges of influence of the derived explosion overpressure and thermal radiation were found to have a maximum radii of 336 m and 423 m, respectively. The study determined that those within 269 m could be severely injured by an explosion overpressure of 3.5 psi, and fatalities from thermal radiation of 10 kw/m2 could occur within 192 m of the exploded storage tank. The safety management plan for the LPG storage tank was discussed while considering the auxiliary facilities of highway rest areas and the extent of the damage impact. These research results will help improve safety accident prevention regulations considering the environment and facilities of the rest areas as well as the safety management of small LPG storage tanks installed at highway rest areas.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the vocational identity through the reflection of the major experience as the teacher through the life history of the technical high school. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, two technical high school mechanical and career teachers were selected as research participants and in-depth interviews were conducted with them. The data obtained through the in-depth interviews were analyzed through six steps. Six major experiences of the participants were identified as results of the research: (1) the experience of trying to train the specialist of precision machining in the beginning of teacher's life, (2) experience as a skill competition team teacher, (3) experience of innovating public education by introducing new industry field, (4) experience of constant learning new field and sharing with colleagues, (5) experience in the rapid change of the status of technical high school, (6) experience in the prevention of students' safety accidents and maintenance of the practice field. Through these educational experiences, each research participant was forming one's vocational identity as a mechanical teacher. The vocational identity of the research participants were identified as follows: (1) identity drifting phase, (2) identity stability stage, (3) transition stage of the teacher role, (4) suspended stage to preserve identity, (5) identification sublimation stage, (6) identification of the true meaning of the teacher, and integration of the identity. Through these six steps, their identities were formed, strengthened and changed at each stage.
