This study is performed to improve the elevation design of schools by the tools of color. Color is a very powerful design tool, one that is capable of altering the perception of a building or a space. The present form and material of elevations of schools are very monotonous and uniform. Therefore students do not have attachment for schools. And also in neighborhood, schools do not function as a good landmark. This study aims to develop good sample of exterior color design for schools and verify the guideline of color design for schools which was went ahead of this study. Through the survey of color preference and color image preference of the students of Seoul High School, the attitude of students to color were considered in design. The exterior color design for Seoul High School was realized. The result of this study suggests that the exterior color design can improve the image and plasticity of present schools. But within the monotonous character of present elevation, the effect of color design will be limited. Therefore to make a effective project, exterior color design should be accompanied with the alteration of elevation to make a plastic element of elevation.

This study is for achievement of the expected aim on establish principle colour scheme of exterior and interior school facilities. Also this study aims to utilization of the data which is need for educational colour scheme of school facilities basically. The result of this study is as follows; 1) Domestic case study in primary school colour value distributed middle and high level between 5R and 6Y, the case study of foreign colour scheme distributed low and middle level. 2) Domestic case study in middle school facilities colour scheme distributed same colour of R, YR and the chroma distributed between 1 to 4. 3) The case study of domestic and foreign high school colour scheme distributed that in cases of domestic the colour scheme distributed very loose style and foreign cases distributed same colour of RP to YR with middle and high level of value and low chroma. 4) Exterior school facilities colour scheme distributed in Busan is that N~5GY(value 8~9 and chroma 0~8) in main school building skin material colour, 0~4 value and 7.5~9 chroma in assistant skin material colour. 5) Interior school facilities colour scheme distributed same colour of B, BF, PB, RP, N, YR in class room and open classroom in school mainly.

The goal of this study is to explore 'color meditation programs' for wounded heart healing of University students. Color meditation was found to alleviate negative psychological symptoms of young people and to raise their quality of life. Furthermore this survey was investigated in a way that participants who are not familiar with meditation activities could access this program without resistance. Also the characteristic points of this program are to be properly reconstructed and supplemented so that it can be applied without any limitations in schools. The satisfaction with color meditation program rather than the motivation of participation in it was determined to affect mental health. These results suggest that simply participating in color meditation program does not mean influencing mental health. Understanding and being satisfied with color meditation was found to be the key to mental health.

This study tried to search the defferences between color designer's intentions of the exterior color design in elementary school design and the students' recognitions. I made a questionare for the elementary school students who are in the 3 schools which are located in the north Kyung-Gi Do. I got the some conclusions as follows. First, the elementary students have different recognitions of the exterior color of the school from coloer designers' intentions. Second, with fixing the Hue, changing the Value and Chroma, the students have more preferances than before. And they have more preferances in high value higher than N8, and they have more preferance lower than 4 in chroma. But in chroma, they have highest preferance in existing status which are low chromas. Therefore, when exterior color designing in elrmentary school design, designer must consider high value higher than N8, and low chroma lower than 4.

The purpose of this study is to find out the usefulness of color contrast program for 50 high school students through comparing the traditional class and the class using the entry software : understanding, utilization, satisfaction, and interest. The results of the study were as follows: First, in the case of the class results, there were no limitations on colors due to materials in the class using the entry software, so students used various colors that match the theory. Second, the activity class using the entry software showed a positive response in terms of utilization, satisfaction, and interest except for the comprehension area, compared to the traditional class using the paper activity. Therefore, this study proved the effectiveness of the practice activity using the entry software in the color management class.

To analyze the design education of elementary school in the united states, the content of Discover art, one of the popular art textbooks for elementary school student, has been examined. Focusing on the developmental stage and sequential curriculum across all grades, design principles, color and criteria of design are investigated. The subjects studied are as follows: an introduction of new word or concept of design principles and color, repetition of the learning, the number of color taught, looking at products of design and making design at each grade level. The curriculum of design principles is well composed, but line, shape and form parts are redundant throughout all grades. The learning order of the color at one grade is well organized but the repetition is too much. The portion of design part is too small. It is adequate that the history of design is introduced at grade 5 where children start to learn history. However, it should be more strengthened for the continuous development of design ability. Looking at product design is introduced before grade 4, and making product design is taught just once at grade 4, although sequential learning is necessary in late elementary grades.

This study focuses on analyzing children's behavior from an integrated systemic perspective of the space and time and presenting a criterion and a guide of children-centered environmental color for intensifying their behavior affordance while considering functions of the space and color. Research was conducted as follows. Based on the spatial function and children's behavior, it figured out a prerequisite of educational environmental colors for behavior affordance. It extracted colors by dividing children's behavior affordance into 8elements considering a psychology of expectation and color function according to spatial and behavior affordance intensification elements. So 97school colors were selected for children's behavior affordance from abstracted colors by each element. Furthermore, it planned to suggest an environmental color guide for establishing elementary school's positive educational circumstances through enhancing behavior affordance, providing a potential to change a color environment at the educational space.

The purpose of this study is to design and implement an application for the smartphone in order to cure the wounded heart of the youth. The heart of the youth can be wounded regardless of their willingness in growing. Not only the wounded heart is hardly cured, but also it can diverse the direction of one's life. It has been tried to adopt color reflection to the smartphone which is accustomed to them. A color reflection curing application based on the smartphone is designed and implemented. The application has been tested with 15 teachers, they were satisfied with it.

The interior space of the elementary classroom is very important not only as the teaming space for children but as the place for living. But the lack of understanding and the unplanned use of colors on the part of those concerned are indeed having adverse effects on children's leaning and activity. The purpose of this study is to suggest the way of interior color design in an elementary schools. To know the specific problems, this study researched and analyzed the interior color in the new elementary schools and investigated the color and the color arrangement preference of elementary school students. It is expected that the study results will be very helpful as the basic materials to consider in planing the interior color environment of the elementary classroom.
