Equivalent damping ratio of a friction damper installed in a structure under collapse load (붕괴하중을 받는 건물에 설치된 마찰감쇠기의 등가감쇠비)

  • 본 논문에서는 마찰감쇠기가 설치된 건물이 붕괴하중을 받을 때의 에너지소산능력을 고려하여 등가감쇠비를 유도하였다. 마찰감쇠기는 주로 지진과 같은 수평하중에 대한 에너지를 소산하기위해 설치된다. 마찰감쇠기를 대각 가새형으로 설치하면 수평하중에 대한 저항력뿐 만아니라 수직하중에 대한 저항성능도 발휘된다. 건물에 설치된 마찰감쇠기는 외력의 크기에 따라 정지와 운동의 상태를 반복하여 외부 입력에너지를 소산시키기 때문에 외력과 응답관계가 비선형이다. 건물은 고유의 점성감쇠를 가지므로 마찰감쇠기가 설치된 건물은 마찰과 점성감쇠를 동시에 고려해야하므로 해석적인 정해를 구하기가 어렵다. 에너지 평형을 이용하여 등가감쇠비를 구하고 운동방정식을 등가선형화하면 쉽게 저항 성능을 파악할 수 있다. 우선 건물에 영향을 미치는 것은 감쇠이므로 감쇠의 영향력을 마찰력비, ${\gamma}_c$로 나타내었다. 둘째, 정해를 마찰력비로 표현하여 유도하고 응답특성을 파악하였다. 셋째, 에너지 균형식을 통해 등가감쇠비를 산정하였다. 마지막으로 등가감쇠비를 검증하기 위하여 등가감쇠비를 이용하여 등가선형화한 응답과 실제 마찰감쇠기를 설치하여 비선형 수치해석한 결과와 비교, 검증하였다.

Vibratory Loads Behavior of a Rotor in High Advance Ratios (고속 전진비 조건에서의 로터 진동하중 특성 연구)

  • In this study, the hub vibration load characteristic is evaluated for a rotor in high advance ratio conditions while investigating blade loads through the structural load prediction and harmonic analysis. Numerical studies are performed to validate the wind tunnel test data performed in NASA as the rotor advance ratios are varied from 0.40 to 0.71. A good correlation is obtained for rotor performance calculation at the range of advance ratios considered. It is observed that the hub vibration loads remain almost unchanged when the advance ratios are higher than 0.5, even though the amplitudes of blade structural loads become larger with increasing advance ratios. A harmonic analysis on blade moments is confirmed that the dominant structural mode is 3/rev component for flap bending moments and 4/rev for lag bending moments. The reason is due to the tendency of the second flap and lag mode frequencies which approach 3/rev and 4/rev, respectively, as the advance ratios are increased.

차분법에 의한 복합 박판에서의 비선형 응력 해석

  • 본 연구에서는 등분포하중을 받는 laminated 박판의 거동해석을 제시하였다. 접착한 두 박판의 비선형 지배방정식을 Von Karman 식을 이용하여 유도하고 박판의 거동을 차분법을 이용하여 수치해석 한다. Interlayer에서의 전단변형을 고려하여 지배방정식에 포함시켜 하중 증분법(load incremental method)으로 기하학 비선형 해석을 수행한다. 하중 증분법에 따른 반복법을 도입하여 비선형 방정식을 해석했다. 해석방법의 타당성을 입증하기 위하여 해석결과들을 기존의 문헌의 결과와 비교, 검토함으로써 본 논문에서 제시한 이론 및 해석방법의 타당성을 입증한다. 차분법의 하중 증분법 알고리즘을 개발하여 예제문제에 대한 수치해석 결과들을 논하였다.(중략)

  • A cylindrical composite lattice structure is manufactured by filament winding. The distribution of nonuniform fiber volume fraction induced by the manufacturing process can be observed. The stiffness and buckling characteristics can be influenced by non-uniform fiber volume fraction. In this paper, the effect of non-uniform fiber volume fraction through thickness direction on the torsional buckling load of the cylindrical composite lattice structure was examined. The stiffness variation induced by the non-uniform fiber volume fraction was applied to the finite element model, and buckling analysis was performed. The variations of buckling load with variations of fiber volume fraction were compared. The non-uniform fiber volume fraction reduced the torsional buckling load of the composite lattice structure.

Damage Curves of the Simple Beam under the Impulsive loadings (충격하중에 의한 단순보의 손상곡선)

  • The safety criteria for the simple beam with a rigid-plastic model under the impulsive loadings are established with the peak-load ratio to the static collapse load and impulse ratio to the ideal impulse producing the plastic hinge at the mid-span. It is shown that the impulse and peak-load of the impulsive loadings are the important factors for the damage of the structures. It is also shown that the damage curves with the peak-load and impulse ratio may be useful method to estimate the damage of the structures due to the emphasis on the equivalent dynamic loads rather than the equivalent static loads in the process of deriving the curve.

  • The behavior of continuously reinforced concrete pavement (CRCP) and the effect of the steel ratio on the behavior under moving wheel loads were investigated in this study. The CRCP sections having different steel ratios of 0.6, 0.7, and 0.8% were considered to evaluate the load transfer efficiency (LTE) at transverse cracks and to investigate the strains in CRCP when the system is subjected to moving vehicle loads. The LTEs were obtained by conducting the falling weight deflectometer (FWD) tests and the tests were performed at three different times of a day to find the curling effect due to the daily temperature changes in CRCP. The strains in the concrete slab and the bond braker layer of the CRCP system under moving vehicle loads were obtained using the embedded strain gages. The results of this study show that the LTEs at transverse cracks are very high and not affected by the time of testing and the steel ratio. The strains in CRCP under vehicle loads become smaller as the vehicle speed increases or as the wandering distance increases; however, the strains are not clearly affected by the steel ratio.

  • 일정진폭하중과 과대하중비 2.5의 단일 인장과대하중에 의한 4140강 용접부 의 피로균열성장거동을 실온과 -45.deg.C의 저온에서 피로시험과 파면관찰을 통하여 고찰하였다. 이때, 용접부 미시조직의 영향을 평가하기 위해 모재(parent metal), 열영향부(as-welded HAZ), 열처리된 열영향부(PWHT HAZ)로 나누어 응력비 0과 0.5로 CT시험편을 이용하여 피로시험을 실시하였다. 피로균열성장거동은 재료의 미시조직과 온도변화보다는 응력비에 크게 영향을 받았으며, 단일 과대하중에 의한 피로균열성장 지연효과가 모든 재료에서 상당히 크게 나타났다. 전자현미경에 의한 피로파면 관찰 결과, 실온에서는 연성의 스트라이에이숀과 -45.deg.C에서는 의벽개파면과 같은 피로 균열성장거동을 나타내고 있다.

Effect of the Combination of Point Loads on the Design Flexural Capacity for Fiber Reinforced Concrete Floor Slab (집중하중 조합에 의한 섬유 보강 콘크리트 바닥슬래브의 설계 휨 내력)

  • In this study, the flexural capacity of fiber reinforced concrete floor slabs were evaluated using main design loads, racking and moving loads. Based on design standards and guidelines, the magnitude and loaded area of each load were determined, and its relationship was assessed. For the application of a single load, flexural capacity should be evaluated in the edge of a floor slab. In addition, the slab with thickness and concrete strength, greater than 180mm and 35MPa, respectively, sufficiently satisfied flexural capacity with a minimum of equivalent flexural strength ratio. The combination of racking loads required the largest equivalent flexural strength ratio to satisfy the flexural capacity of the floor slab. The combination of racking and moving loads showed equivalent flexural strength ratio smaller than the case of combination of racking loads, but larger than the application of single racking or moving loads. The results of this study indicated that the flexure of fiber reinforced concrete floor slabs should be designed using the combination of design loads.

  • Because of the different flexural rigidity between longitudinal and transverse direction, orthotropic plate theory may be suitable for describing the behavior of composite deck. The ratio of flexural rigidity between longitudinal and transverse direction affects the live load moment. Because of the ratio of flexural rigidity of concrete unfilled steel grid deck has a direct relationship with main bearing bar spacing, it is concluded that the study for the distribution factor which is effected by main bearing bar spacing and aspect ratio is needed. In this study, evaluate the live load moment of concrete unfilled steel grid deck using the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specification and presents the distribution coefficient equation for concrete unfilled steel grid deck.

Research on Coupling Control of Adjacent Buildings under Multiple Hazards (다중재난하중을 받는 인접건물의 연결제어에 대한 연구)

  • In this study, numerical analyses were used to investigate the performance of a coupling control method for the dynamic responses of adjacent buildings under multiple hazards. Numerical simulations were done using the earthquake loads of regions with strong seismicity in Los Angeles, California, and the wind loads in regions with strong winds in Charleston, North Carolina. The artificial earthquake and wind loads were made using SIMQKE and Kaimal Spectrum based on ASCE 7-10. Ten-story and twenty-story adjacent buildings were selected as example structures, and nonlinear hysteretic dampers were used to connect them. The Bouc-Wen model was used to model the nonlinear hysteretic dampers. The results show that the proposed control method could effectively reduce the dynamic responses, and the optimal control designs were different for each hazard.
