A Study on the Load Distribution Factor in the Perforated Square Plate with Elastic Support at Four Corners (彈性支持를 받는 四角多孔板의 荷重分布係數에 관한 연구)

  • The load distribution factor in the perforated square plate under concentrated load acting at arbitrary points through elastic media are calculated. For the calculation the perforated plate was converted into an orthotropic plate using the method suggested by J.B. Mahoney. In the process of the calculation the angle support at each corners was equivalent to a point support having equivalent stiffness. The deflections for the calculation of the load distribution factor were obtained using auxiliary plate extended in both directions of the plate and compared with the results from ANSYS calculations. After showing the validity of the current method, the calculation of the load distribution factor was performed. The result showed that the load distribution factor at the periphery of the plate is larger than that of in the central locations. This load distribution factor could be used for re-distribution of the applied load in more accurate analysis of the plate as well as it can be used in the analysis of the elastic media as the load factor.

Development of Probabilistic Wind Load Models (국내 풍하중의 확률적 모형 개발)

  • The probabilistic characteristics of wind loads have been analyzed using statistical data on wind speeds, pressure coefficient, exposure coefficient, and gust factor. The wind speed data collected at 25 nationwide weather stations have been modified to be consistent in measuring height, exposure condition as well as averaging time. Having performed Monte Carlo simulation for various heights and site conditions, the statistical models of wind loads were determined, in which Type-I extreme value distribution has been applied. The models also incorporate a reduction factor of 0.85 to account for the reduced probability that the maximum wind speed will occur in a direction most unfavorable to the response of structure.

Stress Analysis of Pressurization Type Propellant Tank in the Satellite (인공위성용 능동가압형 추진제 탱크의 응력 해석)

  • 인공위성용 추진제 탱크를 개발하기 위해 여러 설계인자를 설정하여 각 인자가 탱크벽면에 미치는 응력분포 영향을 구하고, 또한 최적의 인자 값을 구하기 위해 각 인자의 변화에 따라서 구조해석을 수행하였다. 탱크 지지부 위치와 탱크 벽면 두께 변화에 따른 탱크 벽면에 미치는 응력분포 영향을 고찰하기 위해 1/4 모델을 설정하였고, 연료배출구의 위치변화(경사각돈)에 따른 응력분포는 1/2 모델을 설정하여 해석을 하였다. 탱크에 작용하는 하중은 연료압력에 의해 발생하는 정하중(350 psi)을 가하며 또한, 발사 시 발사체로부터 전달되는 최대동하중(llg)을 고려하였다. 그리고, 탱크가 인공위성에 장착될 때에 발생하는 다양한 장착조건에 대해서 구조해석을 수행하였고, 추진제 배출구 각도가 $0^{\circ}$ 에서 $25^{\circ}C$까지 변화할 때 탱크 벽면에 미치는 응력분포 영향을 구했다. 그래서 각 조건에서 구한 상당응력분포와 인자의 최적 값은 추진제 탱크를 설계하기 위한 기초적인 자료로 활용하고자 한다.

Finite Element Analysis of Stress Distribution on Supporting Bone of Cement Retained Implant by Oblique Loading (경사하중에 따른 시멘트 유지형 임플란트 지지골의 유한요소법 응력 분포)

  • The dental osseointegration implant should be enough to endure occlusion load and it's required to have efficient design and use of implant to disperse the stress into bones properly. Solidworks as a finite element analysis program for modeling and analysis of stress distribution was used for the research. The simple crown model was designed on applying conjoined condition with tightening torque of 20 Ncm of a abutment screw between a cement retained implant abutment and a fixture. A $45^{\circ}$ oblique loading from lingual to buccal side on buccal cusps of crown and performed finite element analysis by 100 N of external load. The results by a analysis for stress distribution of supporting bones of fixture were as below. The von Mises stress was concentrated on the upper side of supporting compact bone regardless of the diameters and lengths of fixture, and the efficiency result of stress reduction was increase of fixture's diameter than it's length. Therefore, it's effective to use wider fixture as possible to the conditions of supporting jaw bone.

  • The wheel load distribution width for lane load is not specified in current Korea bridge design code(KD code), not like in current AASHTO and AASHTO LRFD specifications which specity it as twice of wheel load distribution width for wheel load. In this study, the wheel load distribution width in continuous reinforced concrete slab bridge is investigated. The major variables affecting the wheel load distribution of a reinforced concrete continuous slab bridge are the span length, bridge width, existence edge beam and boundary condition. From a series of comprehensive parametric study on each variable, the formula for wheel load distribution in continuous reinforced concrete slab bridge is proposed from the nonlinear regression analysis of finite element analysis results. The proposed formulas can be used efficiently in the accurate design of continuous reinforced concrete slab bridges.

Case Studies for Anlayzing Effects of Outriggers on Gravity Load Managements (아웃리거의 중력하중 조절 효과 분석을 위한 사례연구)

  • In high-rise buildings, an outrigger system is frequently used as a resisting system for lateral loads. Since the outriggers tie exterior columns and an interior core, exterior columns can participate in the lateral load resisting system and the structural resistance capacity can be increased. However, the outriggers contribute for controlling gravity loads as well as lateral loads. The flows of gravity loads can be changed by the members of outriggers, for the purposes of transferring loads to mega-columns, distributing gravity loads equally among vertical members of columns, walls, or piles, minimizing differential settlements in a foundation system, and so on. In this study, by computational structural analyses of high-rise buildings over 100 floors, the effects of outriggers on controlling gravity loads are analyzed. Analyses for 3-dimensional models with or without outrigger members are performed, and then the gravity load distributions in columns and piles and foundation settlements are analyzed. Also, the effects of outriggers on gravity load controls during construction stages as well as after construction are included.

Characteristics on the Temperature Distribution in Steel Girder Bridge by using Gauge Measurement (계측에 의한 강거더교의 온도분포 특성)

  • The variation of temperature in the steel girder bridge by air temperature is measured. A correlation between the daily temperature range, the maximum and minimum temperatures of the day, and the temperature of the bridge are analyzed. With the statistical data from the Korea Meteorological Administration, the temperature correlations analyzed in this study is able to predict temperature variations between the upper flange and the lower flange which calculates the realistic displacement values of a movable support and an expansion joint in design.

Three Dimensional Analysis of Piled Abutment Adjacent to Surcharge Loads (3차원해석에 의한 교대말뚝기초의 측방유동 발생메카니즘 분석)

  • 본 논문에서는 연약지반에 시공된 교대말뚝기초에 인접하여 성토하중이 재하될 때 발생하는 측방유동의 발생메커니즘을 규명하기 위해 3차원 유한요소해석을 수행하였다. 본 수치해석에서는 점성토 지반과 점성토-사질토 지반 그리고 사질토-점성토 지반에 선단지지된 강관말뚝에 대하여 성토하중 크기(q=20, 75, 100kPa)와 말뚝두부조건(변위구송, 회전구속) 그리고 말뚝중심간격(s=2.5d, 5.0d, 7.0d, 단독말뚝)에 따라 측방유동압의 분포형태와 크기를 분석하였다. 그 결과 측방유동압의 분포형태는 교대말뚝기초의 수평변위와 유사한 형태로 나타났으며 측방유동압의 크기는 배면 성토하중의 크기에 대한 비로써 결정할 수 있었다. 그리고 점성토 지반과 점성토-사질토 지반의 경우, 측방유동압의 분포형태와 크기는 말뚝두부조건에 가장 큰 영향을 받는 반면 사질토-점성토 지반의 경우에는 말뚝두부조건보다는 토층조건에 가장 큰 영향을 받는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 연약지반에 시공된 교대말뚝기초의 측방유동에 대한 설계 및 해석시 지침자료로서 측방유동압의 분포형태와 크기를 추천.제안한다.

A Basic Design and Characterization on Composite Bone Plate for Bone Fracture Healing (골절 치료를 위한 복합재료 고정판 기초 설계 및 특성 평가)

  • This paper aims to enhance the efficiency of bone fracture healing with bone plate made of fiber reinforced composite materials. The composite bone plate was designed as the same dimension and shape as the existing stainless steel bone plate. To find out the appropriate stacking sequence of the composite bone plate the variations of strain distributions were calculated using FE analysis when the bone plates were applied to the fracture site. From the analysis result it was found that the composite bone plate whose Young's modulus is lower than that of metal bone plate gave more uniform strain distribution and provided appropriate condition for callus formation and its development.

  • Several design methods from overseas are employed without considering different conditions such as material properties, climate, and traffic condition in this country. Therefore, there are limitations in application. Therefore, new pavement analysis system which is able to design a pavement efficiently and economically should be set up. In this study, 243 probable sections are classified depending on values of layer thickness and elastic modulus, and the effect of load types for the probable sections are analyzed. The section showing larger load distribution is chosen for analysis. As a result of sensitivity, a layer thickness has more influence on pavement than an elastic modulus does. The stress distribution of FWD test load is larger than that of circular load. This study compares outputs between nonlinear elastic model and linear elastic model. Based on the result, this study finds nonlinear elastic model considering stress condition in the ground is recommended for subbase.
