Evaluation of Statistical Fatigue Life of Hybrid Composite Joints in Low-Floor Bus (저상버스용 하이브리드 복합재 조인트부의 통계적 피로수명평가)

  • The reliable fatigue life for hybrid composite joint structures was estimated by a statistical method for evaluating fatigue life; the results of the fatigue test varied widely. Cyclic bending tests were performed on a cantilever beam with a hybrid composite joint, which was developed for the body of a low-floor bus. In order to estimate the fatigue life of the hybrid composite joint structure by comparing the data obtained during the fatigue tests, the most suitable probabilistic density function among the normal, lognormal, and Weibull distributions was selected. The probabilistic-stress-life (P-S-N) curves calculated by using the selected Weibull distribution was suggested for process of statistical fatigue life estimation and reliability design.

  • Detailed mathematical models of hybrid drivertrain components are presented and numerical simulations are carried out to analyze the shift characteristics and to improve the driving comfortability when the hybrid drivetrain is applied at the vehicle . Theoretical results are compared with experimental ones from the dynamometer as same condition in order to prove the appropriateness of modeling . Adding the vehicle body modeling, included in the suspension and the engine mount, it is possible to predict the dynamic behavior and shift characteristics more actually when shifts are occurred by automated manual transmission(AMT). these additional results are also compared with the same simulation ones of internal combustion engined vehicle equipped conventional manual transmission. Hence, it can be expected that the hybrid vehicle with AMT has a good shift quality.

  • In the Web 3.0 era, the third generation of web technologies that uses blockchain technology to give creators ownership of data, metaverse is a crucial trend for developing a creator economy. Web 3.0 aims for a value in which content creators are compensated from participation without being dependent on the platform. Blockchain NFT technology is crucial in metaverse, a vital component of Web 3.0, to ensure the ownership of digital assets. Based on the theory that investigates the concept and characteristics of metaverse, this study identifies five features of the metaverse based NFT art ①'Continuity', ②'Presence', ③ 'Concurrency', ④'Economy', ⑤ 'Application of technology'. By focusing on metaverse based NFT art <Hybrid Nature> case study, we analyzed how the concepts and characteristics of the metaverse and NFT art were reflected in the work. This study focuses on the concept of NFT art, which is emerging at the intersection of art, technology and industry, and emphasizes the importance of finding creative, aesthetic, and cultural values rather than the NFT art's potential for financial gain. It is still in its early stage for academic studies to focus on the aesthetic qualities of NFT art. Future academics and researchers can find this study to gain deeper understanding of the traits and artistic, creative aspects of metaverse based NFT art.

  • We propose how to configure the AI education system based on the purpose of hybrid learning and the teaching-learning principle. Based on the four components of hybrid learning, we have designed the system conceptual diagram and DB configuration diagram for on-line and offline learning environments for effective AI education. The proposed AI education system model in this paper is expected to be a foundation for maximizing the effectiveness of AI education according to the level and needs of learners and building a more effective learner-centered learning environment in cultivating computational thinking in AI education.

  • There are several types of environment friendly vehicle being developed by auto manufactures. HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) is most applicable one among them in actuality. HEV has two power sources, one is an internal combustion engine, the other one is an electric device. The HEV is developed for reducing fuel consumption and emissions. We selected the diesel engine as a main power source of HEV. The tests were carried out under different driving cycles which was CBDBUS (Central Business Driving Bus Schedule) and HWFET (Highway Fuel Economy Test). This research presents a simulation for the fuel economy and the emission of heavy diesel hybrid vehicle according to the SHEV (Serial Hybrid Electric Vehicle), PHEV (Parallel Hybrid Electric Vehicle), Plug-in SHEV and plug-in PHEV.

  • 그리드 컴퓨팅 기술을 기반으로 한 원격 실험 환경 구축에 있어서 원격 실험만큼이나 실험결과 데이터를 저장하고 재연하는 것이 중요하게 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 KOCED 프로젝트의 건설 연구 실험시설 중 하나인 실시간 하이브리드 다자유도 실험시설에 대한 프로토타입인 원격 하이브리드 실험에 대하여 나라다 브로커링 이라는 발간 및 구독 패러다임의 스트리밍 서버와 글로버스 툴킷에 기반 한 리코딩 및 리플레이 서비스를 통하여 실험결과 데이터를 저장하고 재연하는 시스템을 구축 하였다. 기존에 진행된 실험결과를 검색하여 볼 수 있게 함으로써 중복된 실험으로 인한 비용을 줄이고, 사용자가 원하는 데이터에 대한 토픽정보를 통하여 재연함으로써 실험결과 데이터의 효용성을 높일 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

A Study on the Parallel Routing in Hybrid Optical Networks-on-Chip (하이브리드 광학 네트워크-온-칩에서 병렬 라우팅에 관한 연구)

  • Networks-on-chip (NoC) is emerging as a key technology to overcome severe bus traffics in ever-increasing complexity of the Multiprocessor systems-on-chip (MPSoC); however traditional electrical interconnection based NoC architecture would be faced with technical limits of bandwidth and power consumptions in the near future. In order to cope with these problems, a hybrid optical NoC architecture which use both electrical interconnects and optical interconnects together, has been widely investigated. In the hybrid optical NoCs, wormhole switching and simple deterministic X-Y routing are used for the electrical interconnections which is responsible for the setup of routing path and optical router to transmit optical data through optical interconnects. Optical NoC uses circuit switching method to send payload data by preset paths and routers. However, conventional hybrid optical NoC has a drawback that concurrent transmissions are not allowed. Therefore, performance improvement is limited. In this paper, we propose a new routing algorithm that uses circuit switching and adaptive algorithm for the electrical interconnections to transmit data using multiple paths simultaneously. We also propose an efficient method to prevent livelock problems. Experimental results show up to 60% throughput improvement compared to a hybrid optical NoC and 65% power reduction compared to an electrical NoC.

  • This paper is to review a literature concerning Bus Transit Route Network Design(BTRNDP), to describe a future study direction for a systematic application for the BTRNDP. Since a bus transit uses a fixed route, schedule, stop, therefore an approach methodology is different from that of auto network design problem. An approach methodology for BTRNDP is classified by 8 categories: manual & guideline, market analysis, system analytic model. heuristic model. hybrid model. experienced-based model. simulation-based model. mathematical optimization model. In most previous BTRNDP, objective function is to minimize user and operator costs, and constraints on the total operator cost, fleet size and service frequency are common to several previous approach. Transit trip assignment mostly use multi-path trip assignment. Since the search for optimal solution from a large search space of BTRNDP made up by all possible solutions, the mixed combinatorial problem are usually NP-hard. Therefore, previous researches for the BTRNDP use a sequential design process, which is composed of several design steps as follows: the generation of a candidate route set, the route analysis and evaluation process, the selection process of a optimal route set Future study will focus on a development of detailed OD trip table based on bus stop, systematic transit route network evaluation model. updated transit trip assignment technique and advanced solution search algorithm for BTRNDP.

  • In this study, a shift control algorithm far improving the shift quality of a parallel hybrid drivetrain with an automated manual transmission (AM) is proposed. The general AMT requires the sophisticated control of clutch in the clutch engagement to improve its shift characteristics, and that is generally known to be difficult. But in this hybrid drivetrain, we can control the speeds of clutch plates by engine and motor control, and it provides the easier clutch control in shift process than general AMT. Additionally, it permits the much-reduced shift shock. The motor control during the shift period is also to achieve reduced velocity drop of the vehicle in comparison with that of a general AMT. Furthermore various dynamometer-based experiments are carried out to prove the validity of the proposed shift control algorithm.

  • This paper proposes a modeling and controller design method of Flywheel Energy Storage System(FESS) for solving the unstable operation problem in hybrid generation system with wind turbine and diesel generator applied in island area. FESS is considered as a permanent magnetic synchronous machine connected to flywheel because of its efficiency. The controller of FESS is composed of AC/DC/AC back-to-back converter. The AC/DC converter is designed to charge/discharge according to the frequency variation and the DC/AC converter to operate to keep the DC bus voltage constant. The proposed modeling and controller design method of FESS was applied to hybrid generation system with wind turbine and diesel generator. The unstable operation problem owing to wind variations was solved through simulation results.
