Customer Segmentation of a Home Study Company using a Hybrid Decision Tree and Artificial Neural Network Model (하이브리드 의사결정나무와 인공신경망 모델을 이용한 방문학습지사의 고객세분화)

  • Due to keen competition among companies, they have segmented customers and they are trying to offer specially targeted customer by means of the distinguished method. In accordance, data mining techniques are noted as the effective method that extracts useful information. This paper explores customer segmentation of the home study company using a hybrid decision tree and artificial neural network model. With the application of variance selection process from decision tree, the systemic process of defining input vector's value and the rule generation were developed. In point of customer management, this research analyzes current customers and produces the patterns of them so that the company can maintain good customer relationship. The case study shows that the predicted accuracy of the proposed model is higher than those of regression, decision tree (CART), artificial neural networks.

  • In this paper, we propose and implement a hybrid-type video conference system using SIP protocol proposed in IEFT. This conference system, all signaling is controled by the server, while the media communication can be managed either by UAs or by the server. as a result, the complexity of its routing and user state management is reduced and it is applicable to the mobile environment of the ad-hoc models. The implemented server is scale enough to be used in a large conference because it only takes charge of signaling part. And also we see that UAs are only suitable in the small conference where less than ten people can join.

  • The term 're-use' here signifies the re-use of end-of-life products without changing their form after they have been thoroughly inspected and cleaned. In the re-use network model, the distributor determines the product order quantity on the network through which new products are received from the suppliers or products are supplied to the customers through re-use of the recovered products. In this paper, we propose a reusable network model for reusable products that considers the total logistics cost from the forward logistics to the reverse logistics. We also propose a reusable network model that considers the processing and disposal costs for reuse in an optimal inventory management environment. The authors employe Genetic Algorithm (GA), which is one of the optimization techniques, to verify the validity of the proposed model. And in order to investigate the effect of the parameters on the solution, the priority-based GA (priGA) under three different parameters and the modified Hybrid GA (mhGA), in which parameters are adjusted for each generation, were applied to four examples with varying sizes in the simulation.

  • In this study, the flexural strength and curvature ductility factor of single and hybrid fiber reinforced ultra high strength concrete flexural members with conventional steel rebar were evaluated by experimental program with 3-UHSC beams. Test specimens were loaded by 4-pointed flexural loading. According to the test results, hybrid fiber reinforced UHPC test specimens had higher moment resisting capacity and ductility. For the safe design of hybrid fiber reinforced UHPC, test specimens were analyzed according to the sectional analysis method with material models suggested by K-UHPC design recommendation. Current K-UHPC design recommendation predict the moment resisting capacity of member conventionally and over-estimated the ductility.

  • Fuel consumption rates of electric vehicles strongly depend on their battery performance. Because the battery performance is sensitive to the operating temperature, temperature management of the battery ensures its performance and durability. In particular, the temperature distribution among modules in the battery pack affects the cooling characteristics. This study focuses on the thermal modeling of a battery pack to observe the temperature distribution among the modules. The battery model is a prismatic model of 10 NiMH battery modules. The thermal model of the battery consists of heat generation, convective heat transfer through the channel and conduction heat transfer among modules. The heat generation is calculated by the electric resistance heat during the charge/discharge state. The model is used to determine a strategy for proper thermal management in Electric vehicles.

  • 오늘날 분산 컴퓨팅 환경에서 운용되는 시스템이 증가함에 따라 시스템의 관리작업은 고수준(high-level)의 자동화에 대한 요구가 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 시스템 관리방식이 전통적인 관리자 중심의 방식에서 시스템 스스로가 자신의 문제를 인식하고 상황을 분석하여 해결하는 자율 컴퓨팅 방식으로 변화하고 있으며, 이에 대한 연구가 많은 연구기관에서 다양한 방법으로 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 이러한 대부분의 기존 연구들은 문제가 발생한 이후의 치유에 주로 초점이 맞추어져 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 시스템 스스로가 동작환경을 인식하고 에러의 발생을 예측하기 위한 예측 모델이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 자율 컴퓨팅환경에서 자가 치유를 지원하는 4가지의 예측 모델 설계 방법을 제안한다. 본 예측 모델은 ID3 알고리즘, 퍼지 추론, 퍼지 뉴럴 네트워크 그리고 베이지안 네트워크가 각 시스템 상황에 맞춰 적절하게 사용되는 방식이며, 이를 통해 보다 정확한 에러 예측이 가능해진다. 우리는 제안모델의 평가를 위해 본 예측모델을 자가치유 시스템에 적용하여 기존 연구와 예측의 효율을 비교하였으며, 그 결과를 통해 제안 모델의 유효성을 증명하였다.

  • Efforts are being made to replace ship diesel engines with electric propulsion motors in response to emission regulations. In particular, in the case of short-range small ships, research is being conducted to replace polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) with power sources. However, PEMFC has problems such as slow dynamic response characteristics and reduced durability at high temperatures. To solve this problem, a high-precision ship model was developed with power distribution and thermal management strategies applied, and through this, the required power, heat, and power characteristics of the propulsion system according to the ship's speed profile were analyzed.

  • The telematics data management deals with queries on stream data coming from moving cars. So the stream DBMS should process the large amount of data stream in real-time. In this article, previous research projects are analyzed in the aspects of query processing. And a hybrid model is introduced where query preprocessor is used to process all types of queries in one singe system. Decreasing cost and rapidly increasing Performance of devices may guarantee the utmost parallelism of the hybrid system. As a result, various types of stream DBMS queries could be processed in a uniform and efficient way in a single system.

  • In this paper, an integrated simulation model for designing multi-agent system based DEMS (distributed energy management system) in stand-alone micro-grid system is proposed. In the design of the EMS(energy management system), the multi-agent based DEMS are more effective than conventional centralized EMS, but it is difficult to design the DEMS by general design tools for power system because of various states of a microgrid system during operation of stand-alone mode. Also, since performance test of the DEMS using a real system is inefficient, an integrated simulation model is required for designing an effective multi-agent system based DEMS. The proposed model consists of Matlab/SimPowerSystems based simulation model of the microgrid system and the Multi-agnet based DEMS designed by Matlab/StateFlow tool. In order to show the effect of the proposed model, the model outputs are analyzed for specified operation conditions.
