  • The situation requires a global alternative energy resources due to the lack of rapid consumption of fossil fuel and nuclear fuel that occurs in nature. There are a number of alternative energy research and development in the world today. Of which there is an existing wind power generation system has been developed into a large-scale systematic trend of small wind power systems have created a wind power generation system using a simple principle. Existing small wind turbine system is a situation that is in many places a deterioration odor problems and maintenance of power generation efficiency because it came to be developed systematically. In this paper, we developed a hybrid power system that can develop the solar energy at the same time as the increase in the small wind power generation efficiency and the system to develop that can efficiently maintain the hybrid power generation system through the network.

  • 본 논문에서는 디젤발전기와 ESS(Energy Storage System)를 이용한 스마트 그린 빌딩의 하이브리드 에너지 시스템을 제안한다. 빌딩 하이브리드 에너지시스템은 다양한 전력원을 가질 수 있는데 기존의 디젤발전기에 화석연료를 저감할 목적으로 풍력발전시스템이나 태양광발전시스템과 같은 형태의 신재생에너지원들이 연계 운전될 수 있다. 여기서 디젤발전기의 느린 출력응답특성으로 인한 계통 전압 불안정화를 보상하기 위해 응답특성이 빠른 배터리와 슈퍼커패시터로 이루어진 에너지 저장장치와의 연계운전 기술을 제안하고 시뮬레이션 하였다.

An Economic Feasibility Study of Wind-Diesel Hybrid Power Systems for an Island in the Yellow Sea (서해 도서지역의 풍력-디젤 하이브리드 발전에 대한 경제성 분석)

  • In this paper, an economic feasibility study of wind-diesel hybrid power systems for an island in the Yellow Sea, where the maximum power generation is about 500kW, was performed. For the study, annual electric load variation and wind resource data of the island were collected and analyzed. HOMER program - a typical hybrid optimization model for electric renewables including wind resource, developed by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory - was used. Wind speed and diesel price were picked out as variables for the sensitivity analysis in order to find the economic accountability for the wind-diesel hybrid power system. As the result, even though it is not feasible economically under the present condition, if mean wind speed is over 3 m/sec. or diesel price goes up to 2.4 $ per liter, the wind-diesel hybrid power system for the island becomes a prospective candidate.

  • This study is to demonstrate the superiority and stability of the solar - wind power hybrid power generation system for street lamps using super capacitor EDLC(:Electric Double Layer Capacitor). It is aiming to apply the lighting device using LED light source as the load of solar-wind power hybrid power generation system for independent power source and to develop the street light system device with high output power generation system. Unlike conventional controllers, EDLC, which is used as an auxiliary device for storing the developed power in the battery, can guarantee the high output and long life of the battery.

  • In this paper we proposed the design of the hybrid road lighting control system using solar-light generation. The proposed hybrid road lighting control system be power offer through hybrid controller using Solar-Light Generation, and it is designed so that it can control lighting up. To control supply of continuous power when during power shortages. And the gateway be transmit control command using zigbee to road lighting to ensure that automatic lighting control on human sensing. In this case, the gateway is apply the lighting control algorithm that decisions to the status of the system by a pre-set time schedule and be able to operate. In this paper, the proposed efficiency analysis results of a hybrid road lighting control system was consumed power of 129.6W per day, 3.8KW per month, 47.3KW per annual. As a result, it were able to increase the energy efficiency than existing lighting control system by reduce power consumption of 76.2% and the electricity prices of 76.8%.

  • This paper proposes a modeling method for hybrid generation system with wind turbine and diesel generator applicable in island area. For modeling objects, squirrel-cage induction generator is considered as wind turbine generator and synchronous generator as diesel generator. Parameters and controllers related to them are established and modeled through analysis of traditional small capacity class. The simulation results for practical size hybrid generation system were suggested.

  • In this paper, a solar-wind hybrid system is decsribed for Stand-Alone(SA) power generation system. Mostly SA power generation system for ocean facilities composes a solar system. Normally, the output power of solar system is decreased with weather condition as cloudy and rainy. Solar-wind hybrid system can be operated as complement system each other. In this paper, the characteristic simulation of solar and wind is performed by LabVIEW. The hybrid power generation system is designed according to simulation results, and is tested for checking the complement characteristic.

  • Based on the consideration of the hourly patterns of the electricity power consumption, this study predicted the effectiveness of hybrid power generation system, which is composed with wind power generator and photovoltaic generator. And this case study is performed at Konrido, which is a affiliated island of Kyeongsangnam-do. As the results, it is obvious that it is not efficient to cover the whole electricity power consumption only with any single power generating system, because the hourly patterns of electricity power consumption, wind power generation and photovoltaic generation are quite different. And because the wind is being through almost 24 hours, it is also found out that wind power generating system with storage battery is the most efficient combination for this case study.

  • 태양광 발전 시스템은 화석연료를 대체하는 가장 대표적인 신재생 에너지이다. 하지만 신재생 에너지는 발전량이 일정하지 않고, 예측 불가능 하다는 단점이 있다. 이를 보완하기 위해서 기존 태양광 발전 시스템에 에너지 저장장치를 붙인 하이브리드 태양광 발전 시스템이 각광받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 리튬-이온 배터리를 모델링하고, 시스템 시뮬레이션을 통해 타당성을 검토한다.
