Objectives: This study aimed to determine the effects on musculoskeletal symptoms of both social demographic features and detailed characteristics of each task category of care workers who offer visiting home-help services. And to establish the measures that can reduce musculoskeletal symptoms among care workers. Methods: This study was conducted among 192 care workers from welfare centers C and K located in city P. After participants completed the task burden checklist regarding the scale of musculoskeletal symptoms and the details of their duties, the data collected were analyzed using the SPSS 21.0 program. Results: According to the degree of observable musculoskeletal symptoms in care workers, the highest figures were observed for back and shoulder pain. Based on the results of assessing the effect of detailed task category characteristics on musculoskeletal symptoms, "helping patients eat, helping patients move, helping patients bath, and changing body positions" were found to have an effect from the physical care category, "providing physical therapy assistance, treating bedsores" from the health care category, and "cleaning and doing laundry" from the facility management category. Conclusions: Due to the high proportion of patients requiring burdensome physical labor from care workers such as moving patients who have trouble doing so on their own, helping them change positions, and so on, it is highly likely that pain will occur in the low back, which carries most of the physical weight. So, education on human epidemiological positions that can reduce overload on areas prone to pain such as the low back and shoulders is essential. Proper equipment and personnel support must be provided for dangerous tasks. Further, multidimensional social support is required consistently.

The purpose of this study was to explore the characteristics of defining concrete and abstract nouns for the elderly. A total of 382 elderly participated in this study and they were classified into four age groups (i.e., over 55 to under 64, over 65 to under 74, over 75 to under 84, and over 85 year-old group). They performed the word definition task, composed of five concrete and five abstract nouns. The total scores and numbers and ratio of core/supplementary meanings were compared among four elderly groups. The frequency and ratio of error types were also examined. The results showed that all four groups had statistically significant differences in total scores, numbers and ratio of core and supplementary meaning of concrete noun definition task. In addition, abstract noun definition performances revealed group differences except the two groups (over 75 to under 84 and over 85-year-old group). The oldest group showed a sharp increase in error production. The highest ratio of error types were personal experience in over 55 to under 64-year-old group, and over 65 to under 74 year-old groups; and for the target word repetition in over 75 to under 84 year-old group; and no response in over 85 year-old group. In conclusion, both concrete and abstract word defining abilities had age-related deterioration. This decline results from impairment in spreading semantic knowledge within semantic network, which is vulnerable to aging. Characteristics of word definition for elderly can provide basic information to understand various neurolinguistic disorders associated with age.

웹 인프라와 P2P 기술 개념을 기반으로 연구되고 있는 데이터 그리드 컴퓨팅 환경에서 중요한 문제 중 하나는 거대한 데이터 자료 접근에 관한 이슈이다. 요청된 자원 공간을 확보하기위해 저장되어 있는 자원을 선택하는 '캐쉬 교체 정책' 연구는 많이 연구되어 왔으나, 상항을 미리 예측하거나 스택과 같은 추가적인 자원이 필요하다. 본 논문은 기존 연구의 문제점을 해결하고 요청된 파일에 대응되는 파일의 개수가 되도록 적게 하기위해 파일 크기를 고려한 캐쉬 교체 정책을 제안하고 있다.

선도시험망(Advanced Network) 또는 연구개발망(R＆D Network： Research and Development Network)이라고 불리는 연구망은 상용망에 적용하기 이전의 장비 및 서비스에 대한 시험, 검증을 하기 위한 파일럿(pilot) 망으로서 일반 상용망에 비해 높은 대역폭이 제공되고 한정된 사용자에게 특수 목적을 위해 제공되는 첨단망을 의미한다. 특히 상용망에서 안정적으로 장기간수행하기 힘든 대규모의 정보교류나 실시간 공동참여를 가능하게 하는 연구전용 인프라(R＆D infra)라고 할 수 있다. (중략)

인터넷이 빠르게 보급됨에 따라 많은 멀티미디어 컨텐츠를 접할 수 있게 되었다. 이에 따라 사용자들이 쉽게 멀티미디어 컨텐츠에 접근하게 하기 위해 여러 가지 방법으로 이를 재구성하여 데이터베이스를 만드는 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 이러한 추세에 발맞추어 MEPG-7 표준이 진행 중에 있고, 사용자들이 대용량의 멀티미디어 컨텐츠에 대한 접근을 용이하게 하기 위해 멀티미디어 요약과 같은 기법들이 표준화되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 MPEG-7에 제안된 충실도 (fidelity) 기술법(description scheme)을 이용하여 뉴스를 효과적으로 요약할 수 있는 방법에 대해 제안한다.

VLSI 기술의 발전은 보다 많은 양의 로직을 단일 칩에 집적 가능하게 했고, 이는 System-on-a-chip 시대의 도래를 가능하게 했다. System-on-a-chip을 가능하게 하기 위해서는 많은 종류의 IP (Intellectual Property)가 필요하고, 공정 변환을 쉽게 하기 위해서는 합성이 가능한 RTL 설계가 절실히 요구된다. 본 논문은 이러한 요구에 부응하기 위해서 hard macro 형태의 기존의 IP로 부터 합성 가능한 IP를 자동 생성해 주는 ART(Automatic RTL Translation)로 명명된 기법에 관한 것이다. 제안된 ART 기법을 이용하여 80C52 호환의 8-bit MCU(Micro-controller Unit)의 합성 가능한 RTL model을 자동 생성하였고, 개발된 Soft IP를 이용하여 TCP/IP 전용 MCU를 표함해서 다양한 제품들을 개발하였다.

위궤양 증상일 수 있으니 먼저 내시경검사를 한번 받아보십시오. "이렇게 소화가 안되는데, 혹시 위암이 아닌가요? 등. 흔히 우리가 진료실에서 나누는 얘기들이다. 어떤 의사는 위염이니깐 1~2개월 치료해야 한다고 말하기도 하고, 또 어떤 의사는 남들 다 있는 위염이니깐 안 아프면 두고 봐도 된다고 하기도 하고, 또 어떤 경우에는 위염이 위암이 되니깐 위내시경 검사를 자주 받아야 된다고 하기도 한다. 심지어 위암의 위험인자라고 하면서도 치료는 필요 없다고 얘기하기도 한다.
