Efficient Power and Resource Scheduling for Bluetooth Piconet (블루투스 피코넷에서의 효율적인 전력 및 자원 스케줄링)

  • We consider differentiated bandwidth allocation for a piconet in short-range wireless personal network systems : Bluetooth. Since bandwidth requirements nay vary among applications/services, and/or it may change over time, it is important to decide how to allocate limited resources to various service classes to meet their service requirements. We propose a simple and efficient bandwidth allocation mechanism which meets bandwidth requirements of various service types while saving power consumption by a Power saying mode, i.e., sniff node. We compare our proposed mechanism with a conventional (weighted) round-robin polling scheme and show that it achieves significant improvement of hroughput, delay, and power consumption.

A Secure Bluetooth Piconet using Non-Anonymous Group Keys (비익명성 그룹키를 이용한 안전한 블루투스 피코넷)

  • In accordance with the changes in the wireless communication environment, there has been a great need to satisfy the demand for diverse modes of information exchange. Various types of short-distance wireless communication technology have been developed and studied to meet this demand. Among them, Bluetooth which has recently been acclaimed as the standard for short-distance wireless communication, has been the focus of many such studies. However, Bluetooth has weaknesses in its suuity features when its in security services are applied to Home networks. The purpose of this study is to propose a safe Bluetooth scenario with an upgraded suity feature. This paper first reviews the general characteristics and security features of Bluetooth together with an analysis of its weaknesses, and presents the formation and maintenance process of Bluetooth piconet what is created by using ECDSA and group key in the ACL(Asynchronous Connection-less Link) connection through a safe Bluetooth inquiry process.

  • 2010년 연말을 기준으로 우리나라의 스마트폰의 사용자 수가 1천만명을 넘어섰다. 이것은 단순한 이동통신의 개념에서 모바일 컴퓨팅 시대의 도래를 통계적으로 보여주고 있는 것이다. 특히, 다양한 응용프로그램의 등장은 새로운 비즈니스를 탄생시켰으며 응용프로그램의 개발자나 이를 사용하는 소비자도 편리함에 공감하고 있다. 이러한 응용프로그램의 등장은 좀 더 뛰어난 기능을 갖는 부품이나 모듈의 개발을 촉진시켰고 기능이 앞선 부품이나 모듈이 탑재된 정보기기에는 더욱 다양한 응용프로그램이 개발되어 나오는 선순환이 자리를 잡았다. 결국 끊임없는 혁신만이 경쟁에서 살아남는 시대가 된 것이다. 본 고에서는 소형화된 스마트폰 및 태블릿 PC 등이 갖는 디스플레이 크기의 제약을 극복하는 해결방안으로 제시되고 있는 피코프로젝터의 개발 및 기술 동향에 대해서 기술하고자 한다.

A Study on the Propagation Prediction Model for the Microcell Mobile Communication (마이크로셀 이동통신의 전파예측 모델에 관한 연구)

  • When a subscriber service composed along the central street of urban in microcell and picocell mobile communication of cellular method, we proposed the propagation prediction model that mobile communication environment of urban can analyze exactly and faster men than a precedent. We simulate the proposed propagation prediction model under the urban propagation environment of PCS mobile communication and analyze distribution of received field strength in cell. As a results, we show the optimal condition of the transmitting power and the position of the base station in the microcell and the picocell mobile communication.

  • In case of ultrashort laser ablation of metals, the transfer of energy from the electronic system causing strong absorption of laser light to the lattice needs relaxation times of the order of some picoseconds. Under the above theoretical background, nickel was ablated using femtosecond, picosecond and nanosecond laser. As a result, nickel ablation by picosecond laser and femtosecond laser, which are called ultrashort laser, has similar machinability because of relaxation time of metals, whereas nanosecond Nd:YAG laser has lower absorption, higher thermalization effect in comparison with ultrashort laser.

  • The micro fabrication on the mold material using picosecond laser ablation processing has been studied. We used the two kind of system with picosecond laser. First one is two mirror type scanner and telecentric f-theta lens. Second one is X-Y stage and objective lens. By using these system, the $100{\mu}m$ size chess patterning and $2{\mu}m$ size patterning was fabricated. Especially $2{\mu}m$ size patterning on the mold material can be used as the decorative rainbow color logo for industrial field. In this paper, it is proved the picosecond laser is effective tool for the laser ablation processing.

  • Picosecond (ps) laser micro-machining has emerged as an attractive method of fabricating high-precision microstructures, especially in metals. In this paper, a metallic mold for diffraction gratings is fabricated with a mode-locked 12 ps $Nd:YVO_4$ laser. Laser pulses with a wavelength of 355nm are irradiated on the surface of NOK 80, a mold material, to generate line patterns. In order to minimize the line width, laser power is set just above the ablation threshold of NOK 80. Results show that the spectrum from the fabricated mold is good enough for some industrial application.

  • Bluetooth is consisted of piconet that have 1 master and slave of maximum 7 in Ad-hoc environment, and many piconet gathers and compose one scatternet. Wish to embody performance estimation for effective scatternet's formation and mechanism by node number through Bluehoc simulator of NS base in this treatise and present scatternet formation policy of most suitable.

  • 블루투스는 본래 이동전화 핸드셋, 헤드셋, 그리고 휴대형 컴퓨터와 같은 장치를 연결하는 케이블을 제거하기 위해 개발된 것으로 저가, 저 전력, 단거리의 무선 기술이다. 그러나 전자 제품간에 표준화된 무선 통신이 가능하게 됨으로 인하여 블루투스는 휴대전화나 PDA, 노트북 PC 와 같은 모바일 기기에 부착되어 무선 ad-hoc 네트워크를 구성할 수 있게 되었다. 블루투스는 시분할 다중화 시스템(TDM) 방식으로 최대 8 개의 블루투스 기기가 모여 하나의 채널을 공유하는 '피코넷(piconet)' 을 형성할 수 있고 여러 개의 피코넷을 연결하여 '스캐터넷(scatternet)' 이라는 더 큰 네트워크를 구성할 수 있다. 이러한 블루투스 네트워크에서 기존의 브로드캐스트 서비스는 단순한 재전송 방식으로 인해 신뢰성과 효율성에 있어서 많은 문제점을 안고 있으며 블루투스의 특징을 고려하지 못하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 블루투스 네트워크에서 브로드캐스트 패킷의 수신을 보장하면서 대역폭을 효율적으로 사용하는 브로드캐스트 패킷 전송 기법을 제시하고자 한다.
