Vibration Control of CD-ROM Feeding System Using ER Fluids (ER 유체를 이용한 CD-ROM 피딩 시스템의 진동 제어)

  • This paper presents vibration control of a drive feeding system consisting of a new type of CD-ROM(compact discread only memory) mount using electro-rheologocal(ER) fluid. Chemically treated starch particles and silicon oil are used for ER fluid. and its field-dependent yield stresses are experimentally distilled under both the shear and the flow modes. On the basis of the yield stress, an appropriate size of ER CD-ROM mount adapted to conventional feeding system is designed and manufactured. Vibration isolation performance of the proposed mount is evaluated in the frequency domain and compared with that of conventional rubber mount. The ER CD-ROM mount is then installed to the drive feeding system and the system equation of motion is derived. Following the formulating the sky-hook controller, computer simulation is undertaken in order to evaluate vibration suppression of the feeding system subjected to various disturbances(excitations).

  • 본 연구는 시설재배지의 장기재배를 위하여 연작장해를 극복하는 데 필요한 벼재배를 위하여 일손이 부족한 농번기에 생력적인 단동비닐하우스 골조파이프의 설치 및 철거장치 개발을 위한 연구로 수행하였다. 농업용 로더용의 차체와 차륜을 사용하는 전용기로서 단동비닐하우스 골조파이프를 적재하고 1본씩 이송 가능한 4스크류방식의 피딩장치와 타설위치에서 매설깊이를 일정하게 관입할 수 있는 롤러 방식의 그리퍼 및 타설장치로 구성하였다. 이상의 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 단동비닐하우스 골조파이프를 기계적으로 설치 철거하는 장치를 개발하였으며, 1동 분량의 골조파이프를 적재하여 1본 이송, 피딩, 관입 등이 자동으로 가능하며, 주행하면서 철거가 가능한 장치로 구성하였다. 2. 수작업의 골조파이프 타설작업 시간대비 10배 정도의 노동력 절감효과가 있으며, 농번기와 중노동의 회피, 연작장해 스트레스 경감 등 시설재배농가의 현장애로 해결에 많은 도움이 예상된다. 3. 단동비닐하우스 골조파이프의 설치 및 철거장치를 활용함으로서 연작장해 회피를 위한 수도작의 재배 등 시설재배농가의 안정적인 장기 재배가 가능하여 생산성 향상과 고품질 농산물의 안정적인 공급에도 기여할 것으로 판단된다.

  • This study evaluated the automated system of the roll bending process, which is one of the difficult processes. In the past, 20 cartridges were produced per hour. but Automation changed it to a process that produces 50 pieces per hour. The average value of production was 57.6 pieces per hour, error of repeatability was 0.03 mm, average roll diameter error value was 0.49 mm, average alignment error value was 0.09 mm and average process lead time was 43.21 seconds. This paper presented specific evaluation methods such as productivity, repeatability, defect rate, alignment defect rate, and process lead time. It is thought that the contents performed in this study will be helpful in the verification of other automation systems in the future.

  • Vibration characteristics of the feeding system in a CD-ROM drive are identified by a theoretical modeling as well as vibration experiments. For this purpose, we establish a vibration model due to the rigid-body motion and perform the modal testings using the impact hammer and shaker. The analysis and experiments show that the feeding system has three rigid-body vibration modes in the low-frequency region and two of them come from the tilting modes. In order to remove the harmful tilting modes for the tracking servo control, a methodology to find the optimal positions of the dampers is also proposed in this study.

  • This paper presents vibration control of a CD-ROM(compact disc-read only memory) drive feeding system consisting of a new type of CD-ROM mount using an electro-rheologocal(ER) fluid. On the basis of the yield stress, an appropriate size of ER CD-ROM mount adapted to conventional feeding system is designed and manufactured. Vibration isolation performance of the proposed mount is evaluated in the frequency domain and compared with that of conventional rubber mount. The ER CD-ROM mount is then installed to the drive feeding system and the system equation of motion is derived. The skyhook controller is then incorporated with the fuzzy technique to improve the performance of ER CD-ROM mount. A set of fuzzy parameters and control rules are obtained from a relation between vertical displacement and pitching motion of the feedng system. Followingthe formulation of the fuzzy-skyhook controller, computer simulation is undertaken in order to evaluate vibration suppression of the CD-ROM drive feeding system subjected to various excitations.
