A Case Study on the Architectural Planning of Floating Hotel (플로팅 호텔의 건축계획에 대한 사례연구)

  • This research is intended to suggest some reference materials for the future planning of floating hotel, by reviewing the concept of floating hotel and analyzing the realized and planned ones through the search of related documents and homepages. Floating hotel can be defined as a building for living/recreation/work/entertainment with floating system on water, but without navigation tool. In terms of sequence, the River Kawi Jungle Rafts Resort was built in 1976, Four Seasons Hotel in 1988, and Salt & Sill in 2008. Floating hotels are various in scale(height) and size(room numbers), and have basic, cultural, health & marina facilities. Architectural characteristics of sample facilities can be summarized as self-supporting of the facilities, environmentally friendly architectural planning, utilization of renewable energy, introduction of new plastic composite material, and provision of same view from all bedrooms by rotating the building.

  • Floating architecture is the most effective way to accommodate itself to sea-level rise due to climate change. At the same time floating architecture is the best model to offer the new spatial experience through water-friendly environment. Domestic floating architecture is still on the early stage compared to Europe which has several companies specialized in designing and building floating architecture. Floating architecture is divided into 8 types according to its criteria such as program, form, scale, level, location, access, mobility and energy. The following are design characteristics of floating architecture : (1) composed of 2 stories, (2) having large deck, (3) designing rectangular plan and balanced mass, (4) maximizing view, (5) having water-friendly space, (6) multi-using space and minimizing surface, (7) planning section to control light reflecting from the water, (8) modular and unit system.

  • 국내 해양레포츠 수요는 지속적인 증가세이며, 한국해양수산개발원은 2015년 국내 요트수요 22,000척에 달할 것으로 전망하고 있다. 이에 따른 마리나 및 마리나클럽 공간의 확충도 필요하다. 현재 국내 마리나는 수적으로 한정된 상태로 서울마리나, 아라마리나, 전곡마리나, 수영마리나 등이 대표적인 시설이다. 마리나 공간은 계류시설, 클럽하우스, 보트이동시설, 수리소 및 보관창고, 세척공간 및 각종 지원시설, 복합시설로 구성되며, 마리나클럽은 그 중심 공간이다. 국내 마리나클럽은 식음을 위한 상업공간의 면적이 큰 비율을 차지하고 있다. 전반적으로 마리나는 육지에서 강이나 바다로의 조망, 수면에서 랜드마크 효과 극대화하는 공간 디자인을 추구한다.

  • This study propose a sea water heat exchanger for floating architectures, which can be used as heat source or heat sink of heat pump. Based on CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics), experimental mock-up system is made and tested. Some evaluation performances are shown on this paper.

  • 플로팅 아일랜드 리조트 조성을 위한 자연환경 및 인프라시설을 충분히 갖추고 있는 부산은 플로팅 구조물에 대한 관심이 크다. 따라서 본 연구는 플로팅 아일랜드 리조트 조성을 위한 전제조건과 대상지 선정을 위한 6가지 고려사항들을 통해 후보지를 선정하고 각 후보지에 적합한 시설을 제시하였다. 또한 조성 후보지에 플로팅 인공섬 리조트 기본계획을 실시하였다.

  • 부경제적 여유와 함께 사람들의 요구가 다양화 되면서 해양 레저에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 삼면이 바다인 우리나라는 바다를 이용한 해양 레저의 잠재력이 매우 높기 때문에 해양 리조트 개발이 증가할 것으로 예상된다. 그러나 이미 포화상태에 이르렀으며 또한 환경문제를 내포하고 있는 매립에 의한 개발은 상당한 어려움이 따를 것으로 예상된다. 이에 대한 대안으로 플로팅 건축에 의한 개발이 확대될 것으로 기대되지만 플로팅에 의한 해상호텔에 대한 연구는 아직 초보적인 단계에 있으며 이용객의 쾌적성에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 공조 설비 용량을 선정하기 위한 부하계산에 대한 연구는 전무하다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 육상의 일반적인 호텔과 선박의 공조부하 계산법을 비교 분석함으로써 해상호텔의 공조부하계산방법에 대해 검토한다.

  • The shape of floating superstructure is the same as other buildings, but the foundation is based not on land but on a floating body. Unlike inland structures, they are largely influenced by the wave load. Deformation of the floating pontoon due to the wave loads affects the connection, which in turn causes problems related to the habitability and safety to the superstructure users. Accordingly, this study conducted elastic analysis regarding rigid connection and semi-rigid connection by the integration analysis that combined together the superstructure and pontoon of the 3-D floating structure. Moreover, this study investigated the results of the separation analysis excluding pontoon and the integration analysis. In addition, elasticity analysis was used to divide up the wave loads cases, and to classify the moment and displacement of the structure depending on connection following the changes in the wave loads.

  • 염해는 철근 콘크리트 구조물의 주요 열화원인으로서 특히 수해양 부유식 건축물의 상부구조는 비래염분에 의한 피해에 노출되어 있고, 해수에 접하고 있는 함체는 다공질 콘크리트의 모세관으로 염수이온이 침투하므로 상당히 높은 수위의 열화 환경에 노출되어 있다고 분류할 수 있다. 본 연구는 해양에서 유입되는 비래염분량을 정량화하여 철근 콘크리트 구조물 뿐만아니라 강재 건자재의 장수명화를 꾀하는 기초자료를 구축하고자 하였다. 1년간에 걸쳐 측정된 비래염분유입 지역은 기존연구에서 조사된 1km 범위을 상당히 초과하고 있으며 그 량도 강재 발청농도를 탁월하게 상회하는 것으로 분석되었다.

  • Marina and marina clubs are the essential structures to meet increasing marin tourism and marin leisure sports demand. According to the domestic situation, marina and marina clubs are divided into 6 types such as small sports type, small complex type, midium sports type, midium complex type, large sports type, large complex type. As a result of analysis of domestic three marina clubs, averagely marina facilities take 21% and commercial facilities take 79% of total space. In the short term, marina club should be designed focusing on complex program. Marina club will be for long-term transformed into marin leisure sports program. Additionally, it is certain that floating marina club is an architecture to have water-friendly space and to maximize marin tourism and marin leisure sports.

Koreans' consciousness survey on the onboard safety of domestic passenger ship (국내 여객선 승객의 선박안전 의식조사)

  • Users of passenger ships and cruise ships are rapidly increasing year by year, and the needs of the floating architecture are newly come out. But the studies about the passengers' safety and the countermeasures against incidents on board the ships are rare, although the ships' incidents are occurred averagely 15 cases per year during last 10 years. For the purposes of the analysis of the safety consciousness and gathering the some of input data for evacuation simulation for Korean passengers on board ships, this study performed surveys targeting ordinary 394 passengers who are not specially trained and/or accustomed with onboard living conditions. The results are the followings. The reliability on ships' safety is surveyed as 32.3%. Only 14.6% of respondents are aware that there were safety education on board ship during sailing. And 42.2% and 40.9% of respondents answered that they saw the map of emergency routes and knew where the life boats are, respectively. And 73.3% select crews' direct or in-direct(like announcement by indoor broadcasting system) guidances as the most effective evacuation method.
