  • As remote sensing imagery with high spatial resolution (e.g. pixel resolution of 1m or less) is used widely in the specific application domains, the requirements of advanced methods for this imagery are increasing. Among many applicable methods, the texture image analysis, which was characterized by the spatial distribution of the gray levels in a neighborhood, can be regarded as one useful method. In the texture image, we compared and analyzed different results according to various directions, kernel sizes, and parameter types for the GLCM algorithm. Then, we studied spatial feature characteristics within each result image. In addition, a template matching program which can search spatial patterns using template images selected from original and texture images was also embodied and applied. Probabilities were examined on the basis of the results. These results would anticipate effective applications for detecting and analyzing specific shaped geological or other complex features using high spatial resolution imagery.

  • In this paper, two methods based on the use of morphology and pattern matching prior to detect classified defects automatically on the back light unit which is a part of display equipments are proposed. One is the template check method which detects small size defects by using closing and opening method, and the other is the block matching method which detects big size defects by comparing with four regions of uniform blocks. The TC algorithm also can detect defects on the non-uniform pattern of BLU by using revised Otsu method. The proposed method has been implemented on the automatic defect detection system we developed and has been tested image data of BLU captured by the system.

  • In this paper, the three dimension scanner system employing the parallel camera model is discussed. The camera calibration process and the three dimension scanning algorithm are developed. The laser strip line is utilized for assisting stereo matching. An object being scanned rotates on the plate which is activated by a stepping motor, The world coordinate which is. the measured distance from the camera to the object is converted into the model coordinate. The facets created from the point. cloud of the model coordinate is used for rendering the scanned model by using the graphic library such as OpenGL. The unmatched points having no validate matching points are interpolated from the validate matching points of the vicinity epipolar lines.

  • In this research, design optimization was investigated using the finite element analysis and the optimal design technique based on the PQRSM algorithm to minimize the thermal deformation of IGZO oxide in a target module in which IGZO oxide and a copper backplate are bonded to each other. In order to apply the optimal design technique in conjunction with finite element analysis, the x-coordinate of lower supports and upper fixed boards used as design valuables, and the optimal design was performed to minimize the thermal displacement of IGZO materials as the objective function. After the optimization process, the thermal displacement within IGZO oxide could be reduced to 42 % comparing with the initial model. The result is thought to be useful in the industry as it can reduce the thermal deformation of target oxides materials only by changing the position of the subsidiary materials during the bonding process.

  • The International Maritime Organization has enacted mandatory performance standards for protective coatings (PSPC), and as a result, shipyards must perform 2R or 3-pass milling on the edges of color plates. However, manual milling could result in many problems in terms of work environment and productivity. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an edge milling automation system that can satisfy the regulations. In this study, a basic design for an edge milling automation system was developed for standard color plates, and the machining process was established by applying shape recognition and a machining path generation algorithm. In addition, operating software was developed, and suitable milling conditions were derived based on the results of a milling test. The results could be used to build an automation system that meets the PSPC requirements and improve productivity.

  • In this paper, we present an algorithm to extract features about disease region in digital stomach images. For feature extraction, DCT coefficients of gastrointestinal imaging matrix was obtained. DCT coefficent matrix is concentrated energy in low frequency region, we were extracted 128 feature parameters in low frequency region. Extracted feature parameters can using for differential compression of PACS and, can using for input parameter in CAD.

  • This paper presents a new algorithm for P-wave detection in the ECG signal, we get the peak, onset and offset point by using significant point extraction algorithm with 5-point derivative. To these set of extracted significant points, we apply amplitude and duration threshold criterion. we define the set of significant point meeting the criterion as P-wave candidate. Then P-wave candidate is classified through match-process with template. The template with maximum number or P-wave candidate is selected to be the P-wave.

  • The underlying advantages of using thin-walled corrugatedwebs instead of plate girders with stiffeners are the elimination of instability problems associated with buckling of the thin-walled flat plate, and elimination of the need for transverse stiffeners, which alsoresults in economic advantages. This paper focuses on two aspects related to the structural design technique forsinusoidal corrugated web steel beams, and the optimum design of the beams using real-value genetic algorithms. The structural design process and design variables used in this optimization werecomposed with EN 1993-1-5, DASt-R015 standard and Pasternak et al. (2004), and the valid design capacity of shear buckling of the standards were compared. For the optimum structural design, the objective function, presented as the fullweight of the sinusoidal corrugated web beams, and the slenderness, member forces, and maximum deflection of the beam, were considered constraints. Finally, the simple beam under the uniform load was adopted as a numerical example, and the effective probability parameters of the genetic operators were considered to find the global minimum point.

  • In this paper, we present an automatic image object tracking system for Studio cameras on the stage. For object tracking, we use the OpenCV-based Python program using PC, Raspberry Pi 3 and mobile devices. There are many methods of image object tracking such as mean-shift, CAMshift (Continuously Adaptive Mean shift), background modelling using GMM(Gaussian mixture model), template based detection using SURF(Speeded up robust features), CMT(Consensus-based Matching and Tracking) and TLD methods. CAMshift algorithm is very efficient for real-time tracking because of its fast and robust performance. However, in this paper, we implement an image object tracking system for studio cameras based CMT algorithm. This is an optimal image tracking method because of combination of static and adaptive correspondences. The proposed system can be applied to an effective and robust image tracking system for continuous object tracking on the stage in real time.

  • Significant efforts have been devoted to developing high-performance composite materials by emulating the structure of biological creatures with superior mechanical characteristics. Nacre has been one of the most sought-after natural structures due to its exceptional fracture toughness compared with the constituent materials. However, the effect of manipulating the nacre-like geometry on the impact performance has not been fully investigated thus far. In this study, composites of randomly manipulated nacreous geometry are numerically developed and the impact performance is analyzed. We develop an algorithm by which the planar area of platelets in the nacre-like design is randomly resized. Thereafter, the numerical models of nonuniform nacre-patterned multi-layer structures are developed and the drop-weight impact simulation is performed. The impact behaviors of the model are evaluated by using the ratio of absorbed energy, the von Mises stress distribution, and the impact force-time curve. Therefore, the effect of the geometric irregularity on the nacre-patterned design is elucidated. This insight can be efficiently utilized in establishing the optimum design of the nacre-patterned structure.
