유한요소해석에 의한 승용차용 플레어 너트 단조공정의 최적설계 (Optimal Design of the Forging Processes of Flare Nut for Automobiles using Finite Element Analysis)

  • Flare nut is an important Part that used to joint a brake tube-end in automobiles. It was made of SWCH 10A by machining. But we studied to make it by metal forming. The main focus of this paper is to investigate an optimal forging processes for flare nut using the DEFORM$^{TM}$-3D. commercially available finite element code and tests. Actually an explicit finite element analysis of the flare nut forging processes has been carried out to predict an optimal shape of the flare nut and its results were reflected in the tests of the forging processes design for flare nut. The simulation results which had obtained from finite element analysis were contributed to the forging processes design for flare nut. An optimal shape of nave nut showed agreements with test results. Furthermore. this paper should contribute to a development of the forging process for a variety of parts.s.

선수 플레어 구조손상 해석 (Damage Analysis of Bow-Flare Structure)

  • In rough seas, bow-flare regions of the sea-going ships are subject to high impact pressures due to the bow-flare slamming and panting. And many ships suffer structural damages in that region, even though they were built under the bow structure strengthening rules of the ship classes. So, a new design method for bow-flare structure is highly required. In this paper, bow-flare damage analysis is performed for 17 ships (total number of damage/non-damage data is 782). Based on this analysis, a new design standard and method for bow-flare structure (shell plate, frame and web frame) is proposed. 80.4% of the present damage/non-damage data were well-explained by this new design standard.

가상착의 시스템을 통한 니트 플레어스커트의 드레이프 형상에 관한 연구 - 각도에 따른 플레어스커트를 중심으로 - (A Study on Knit Flare Skirts of Hem for 3D Virtual Clothing System - Focused on the Angle of Flare Skirt -)

  • This study investigated the formation of silhouette and hemline shape of knit flare skirts according to the properties of knit material through virtual clothing with a 3D virtual clothing system called i-Designer of Technoa, thus building a database of the property data of knit material to reduce the number of sample making steps repeated and implemented several times in the process of clothes making. The results would help to estimate a silhouette in advance, offer assistance to the development of original knit wear, and explore ways to provide basic data for the development of the knit industry of the nation. The investigator made 12 kinds of experimental clothes to the angles(width of skirt: $90^{\circ}$ and $180^{\circ}$), gauge(7G, 12G, and 15G), and grain directions(wale and bias direction) of experimental clothes for virtual clothing. The dynamic characteristics of knit skirt samples according to each gauge were measured with the KES-FB system. Draper shapes were analyzed with the sectional shape data of hemline based on i-Designer. As for the measurements of the sectional shape of hemline and the formation of silhouette, the number of nodes, the average height of node mountains and valleys, and the hemline width right and left and before and after increased at the angle of $180^{\circ}$ than $90^{\circ}$. As gauges multiplied, the number of nodes, and silhouette angle dropping. When considering grain directions, the number of nodes and silhouette index increased in the wale direction at the angle of $90^{\circ}$ with the number of nodes and silhouette angle increasing in the wale direction at the angle of $180^{\circ}$.

Development of Solar Activity Monitoring Map and Its Application to the Space Weather Forecasting System

  • SDO/AIA와 STEREO/EUVI 두 태양 관측 위성의 193 파장에서의 실시간 영상 이미지를 이용하여 Stonyhurst Heliographic Map을 작성하고 각각의 위성 데이터 분석으로부터 얻어진 결과들을 종합적으로 재구성하여 태양 전면 및 후면의 활동 영역들을 동시에 표출하는 태양 활동성 지도 (Solar Activity Monitoring Map)를 작성하는 프로그램을 제작하였다. 태양 활동성 지도를 이용하여 태양 후면에서의 극자외선 밝기 분포를 경도에 따라 등간격으로 나눈 후 각 지역에서 얻은 극자외선량을 실시간으로 갱신하며 그래프를 작성하는 프로그램도 함께 제작하고 그로부터 태양 후면 영역의 활동성이 향후 지구에 어떠한 방식으로 영향을 미칠 것인지 사전에 예측 가능하도록 하였다. 또한 태양 후면에서 발생하는 활동 영역 (Active Region) 및 코로나홀들을 자동적으로 탐지한 후 실시간으로 변화 정도를 추적 및 기록하는 프로그램도 제작하였다. 태양 활동성 지도는 193 파장에서 뿐만 아니라 두 위성이 공유하는 세 개의 동일 혹은 유사한 파장대 (171,211,304)에서 얻어진 데이터들도 함께 이용하여 각 파장대에서 독립적으로 작성하였는데 이로 인해 각각의 에너지 영역의 특성에 해당하는 태양 활동성을 동시에 표출하는 것이 가능하게 되었다. 이러한 프로그램을 이용하여 태양 후면에서의 활동 영역의 발생 및 변화를 사전에 인식하고 그들이 태양 전면으로 나타나기 전에 대비할 수 있는 예보 장치가 마련되었다. 본 연구들과 더불어 극자외선 영역에서의 태양 활동성 조사로부터 플레어의 발생을 예측할 수 있을 것인지의 가능성 여부를 타진하기 위해 과거 극자외선 관측에서 얻어진 활동 영역들의 데이터와 연 X-선 관측으로부터 기록된 플레어 발생 여부의 상관관계를 조사하는 연구가 현재 진행 중이다. 이러한 연구로부터 긍정적인 결과가 도출되는 경우 극자외선 영역에서의 관측 데이터를 이용하여 플레어 발생 가능성을 예측하는 새로운 방법을 제시하는 것이 가능해질 것이다.

  • 스월러는 가스터빈 연소기내에 재순환영역을 형성시켜 보염역활을 수행하는 기구로 스월러에 의해 형성된 유동패턴은 연소실내 화염의 분포, 연소 효율, 배기가스등의 연소기 성능을 크게 좌우한다. 본 연구에서는 counter-rotating 스월러에 대해 입자영상유속계(Particle Image Velocimetry)를 이용하여 바깥쪽 스월러와 안쪽 스월러의 유량비가 다른 2종의 스월러 대한 스월러 양단 압력 차 변화 및 플레어 길이비에 따라 변화하는 모델 챔버내의 유동형태를 실험적으로 고찰하였다.

역학적 특성에 따른 니트 플레어 스커트의 길이 변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Change in the Length of Knit Flare Skirt through Mechanical Properties)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse the effects of knit samples' mechanical properties on changes of skirt length of knit flared skirt, and to compare it to the knitting method of a seamless knitted flare skirt. So, I compared the appearance and 3-dimensional shape of a seamless knitted flare skirt with those of a fully cut knit flared skirt. For this study, 18 kinds of cut and sew or seamless knitted test garment were made. The data analysis methods used in this study were descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The results are as follows: The result of the evaluation of knit samples' mechanical properties by the KES-FB system showed that elongation decreased as gauge increased and course direction was greatest among grain directions. The length change after wearing the knitted flare skirts appeared wholly equal to the seamless knitted, compared with the cut and sew. The change was biggest at $180^{\circ}$, 7G of the cut and sew. In grain direction, bias cut showed more than 1.2cm of length change. As the weight and thickness increased, the length changes become larger. The regression analysis indicated that the greatest contributive variables on the length changes were elongation, weight, and thickness.

플레어 각도에 따른 청수현상의 발생과정 및 갑판 위 유동특성 변화에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Variations in Behavior of Green Water and Flow Kinematics on Deck with Various Flare Angles)

  • In this study, a series of experiments were performed to investigate the variations in the behavior of green water generation and the flow kinematics of bubbly flow on deck with various flare angles. The experiments were conducted in a 2-D wave flume using a simplified model of a BW Pioneer FPSO operating in the Gulf of Mexico, with a 100-year return period wave condition. The green water phenomena were captured with a high speed CCD camera. The variations in the behavior of the green water generation were investigated with various flare angles, and the horizontal mean velocity profiles of bubbly flow on deck obtained using bubble image velocimetry (BIV) were provided. The differences in flow kinematics of bubbly flow on deck were analyzed with various flare angles.

플레어스커트의 시각적 평가를 위한 의미미분척도 개발 (A Study on Development of Semantic Differential Scales for Visual Evaluation of Flare Skirt)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop semantic differential scales which are necessary to evaluate visual image and effect of flare skirt. As a result of the first survey of 362 female college students, the most effective factors for shape of flare skirt are silhouette, volume of flare, and skirt length. Based on this result, we made flare skirt simulation for visual evaluation with using I-Designer program. 4 kinds of volume of flare($90^{\circ},\;180^{\circ},\;270^{\circ},\;360^{\circ}$) and 3 kinds of skirt length(48cm, 58cm, 68cm) are combined as variables for flare skirt of visual evaluation. For the second survey of 362 female college students, we asked to write suggested adjectives freely. As a result, we could draw out 210 adjectives. 'Feminine' was most frequently used word for flare skirt, and then, 'vivid', 'rhythmic', 'cute', 'soft', 'fat', and 'comfortable' in this order. With considering frequently used words in the preceding study, we selected 41 adjectives. Antonyms were selected from the resulted frequency of this study and preceding study, and the rest of words were found from dictionary. From these process, we developed semantic differential scales for visual image and effect of flare skirt.

대형 컨테이너선의 플레어 슬래밍 계측 연구 (II) - 슬래밍 압력 특성 분석 - (A Study on Measurement of Flare Slamming of Large Container Vessel (II) - Characteristic Analysis of Measured Slamming Pressure -)

  • As a container vessel becomes larger, the bow flare becomes larger. The large bow flare structures are often subjected to dynamic pressure loads due to bow flare slamming occurring in rough seas. The aim of this paper is to investigate the characteristics of bow flare slamming pressure measured in a real voyage through the North Pacific Ocean. The characteristics of impact pressure load caused by slamming is addressed in terms of the pressure pulse-time history which involves rising time, peak pressure, decaying time and type of pressure decay. The values were presented using non-dimensional parameters.

니트 플레어 스커트의 무봉제형 편성 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Seamless Knitting Method of Knitted Flare Skirts)

  • The purpose of this study was to observe the changes of skirt length of knitted flare skirts when the seamless test garments were made which had been having full shape while being knitted and to change and amend the challenges in advance when those were knitted. For this study, I made 6 kinds of knitted test garments of wool 100% yarn with seamless knitting machine, which differed from each other by skirt angles ($90^{\circ},\;180^{\circ}$) and gauges (7G, 12G, 15G), and then I measured deflection changes of their length for 2 weeks. Findings and conclusions drawn from this study were as follows: First, the side seam line of full shape hecame somewhat longer than center. Second, 7G and $180^{\circ}$ knitted flare skirt showed the biggest length deflection changes. Third, there was no difference at rear waist deflection changes between front pattern and rear. Fourth, it was difficult to control the tensions of right and left strings as to the knitting directions.
