A Study on Proportion-Generating System Based on Dom Hans van der Laan′s Proportion Theory (돔 한스 반 데어 란의 비례론에 기초한 비례생성 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • 비트루비우스(Vitruvius)에서 벤츄리(Venturi)에 이르기까지 많은 건축사가(建榮史家) 또는 건축가(建築家)들이 건축원리에 대한 각자의 규범적 태도를 글로써 밝혀왔다. 이러한 규범적 내용 중 비례이론은 서양건축에 있어 건축미(建築美) 비밀로 간주되어, 조화로운 건축물이 꼭 갖추어야 할 덕목중의 하나로 인식되었다. 현대건축에서 비교적 근대 비례시스템이라 불릴 수 있는 것으로 르 꼬르뷔지에의 모될로르와 반 데어 란의 플라스틱 넘버를 들 수 있다. 모될로르는 현재까지 아주 제한된 성공밖에 거두지 못했는데, 이는 피보나치 수열에 기초한 수치들이 커졌을 때 단위의 배수관계가 거의 형성되지 않는다는 사실에 기인한다. 반면에 플라스틱 넘버는 모될로르의 결점들을 보완할 수 있는 매력적인 수열을 가지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 반 데어 란의 비례시스템 분석을 통하여 유도된 수열규칙이 건축디자인과 관련되어 직접적으로 적용되어 질 수 있는 CAAD시스템을 제안한다. 본 시스템의 초점은 반 데어 란의 비례이론이 어떻게 컴퓨터 언어로 변환 및 CAAD시스템에 적용되어, 실질적인 건축 실무행위에 있어 컴퓨터가 디자인 도우미로서 역할을 수행할 수 있겠는가하는 것이다. 연구의 결과, 사용자는 이러한 시스템을 사용함으로써 반 데어 란의 비례시스템을 자신의 디자인에 손쉽게 적용할 수 있으며, 이는 복잡한 치수관계로 구성된 비례시스템의 건축실무 활용으로 발전되어질 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

The Combustion Gases Toxicity Evaluation of Plastics Material by Colorimetric Gas Detector Tubes (가스검지관법에 의한 플라스틱재료의 연소가스 독성평가)

  • In this paper, we had analyzed comsbustion gases using a GASTEC colorimetric gas detector tube according to the method of NES 713 in order to combustion gases toxicity evaluation for beads polystyrene foam, extruded polystyrene foam, rigid polyurethane foam, flexible polyurethane foam, flexible polyvinyl chloride pipe, vinyl floor cover, polyethyelene foam(flame retardant untreated) and polyethyelene foam (flame retardant treated) of plastics material. As results of gas analyses by using this method, comsbustion gases producted from small specimens of plastics material had reached fatal to man at 30 minutes exposure time that had possesed toxicity index of more than 1. Toxicity indexes of each specimen were estimated range of 4.3∼179.2, flexible polyvinyl chloride showed the hightest toxicity index at 179.2, and beads polystyrene foams showed the lowest toxicity index at 4.3.

  • The stand-off errors due to the different separations between the sonde and the borehole wall were measured and analyzed in 4 physical borehole models located in Kangwon National University having different densities with cylindrical and half cylindrical PVC and/or acrylic casings. The analysis of the stand-off error data based on the "spine and ribs" technique suggests a well defined rib line for each model irrespectively of the types and thicknesses of the casing, and that the gradients of the ribs are proportional to the densities of the models. By using these characteristics successful density correction could be made for the plastic casings in NX sized boreholes.

  • 디스플레이 시장이 rigid에서 flexible로 변화하기 시작하면서 유연 투명전극 소재에 대한 수요가 증가하고 있다. 투명전극으로 대표되는 Indium Tin Oxide(ITO)는 고투과 저저항의 장점을 가지지만 유연성이 떨어져 이를 대체 할 투명전극 소재로 Metal mesh, Ag nano-wire, CNT, Graphene, Conductive polymer 등에 대한 응용 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 Metal mesh 용 Cu thin film 형성을 위해 플라즈마 표면처리 기술로 플라스틱 기판과 Cu 박막 사이의 밀착력을 향상시키고자 공정 연구를 수행하였다. 고품질의 Cu thin film 제작을 위해 양산용 roll to roll 장비를 이용하였고, 선형이온소스를 적용하여 플라즈마 표면처리를 수행하였다. 이후 마그네트론 스퍼터링을 통해 Ni buffer layer 및 Cu 박막 증착 공정을 in-situ로 진행하였다. 이러한 공정을 통해 제작한 Cu thin film의 밀착력을 평가하기 위해 cross cut test(ASTM D3359)를 수행하였다. 그 결과 플라스틱 기판과 Cu 금속 박막 사이의 밀착력이 0B에서 5B까지 향상된 것을 확인하였고, 플라즈마 표면처리 공정을 통해서 저항 또한 감소되는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 polyethylene terephthalate(PET)뿐만 아니라 polyimide(PI) 기판 상에서도 플라즈마 표면처리를 통해 금속 박막의 밀착력이 향상되는 결과를 확인하였으며, flexible copper clad laminate (FCCL) 같은 유연 정보 소자 분야에 응용 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

Study on Plastic Fiber Coating Materials (플라스틱 직물 코팅재료에 관한 연구)

  • Liquid PVC, which is used widely as fiber coating, has brilliant non-luster effect, but it decreases flexibility of coated fiber surface. We used liquid silicone rubber in elastomer series as a coating material to alleviate this problem. We have conducted the former liquid PVC processing and used pressure of roller and preliminary hardening of processing. In this experiment, We measured 70 degree of hardness, 10.3 MPa of tensile strength and 200fs of tensile elongation of Liquid PVC-coated plastic fiber. We measured 40 degree of hardness, 5.1 MPa of tensile strength and 460% of tensile elongation of Liquid silicone PVC-coated plastic fiber. Therefore, Without the second process, Liquid silicone rubber coating increased non-luster effect and flexibility of plastic fiber surface more than Liquid PVC coating.

  • The effects of binder content and recycling mixed waste plastics(PA) content on the workability, work life and hardening shrinkage of fresh polymer concrete using mixed waste plastics are examined. As a result, the workability of the polymer concretes using mixed waste plastics tend to improve with increasing binder content, PA content and filler content. The work life of the polymer concretes using mixed waste plastics is shortened with an increase in the initiator content and curing temperature. The length change of the polymer concretes using mixed waste plastics tend to increased with Increasing binder content and PA content. The result of the present research is expected to make a contribution to the recycling of final mixed waste plastics and the continuing efforts for the development of use of the recycled products are thought to expand the horizon for the recycling of the final mixed waste plastics.

Explosion Characteristics and Flame Velocity of Suspended Plastic Powders (플라스틱 부유 분진의 폭발특성과 화염전파속도)

  • Many of plastic powders handled in industry are combustible and have the hazard of dust fire and explosion accidents. However poor information about the safe handling has been presented in the production works. The aim of this research is investigated experimentally on explosive characteristics of various plastic powders used in industry and to provide additional data with safety informations. The explosibility parameters investigated using standard dust explosibility test equipment of Siwek 20-L explosion chamber. As the results, the dust explosion index ($K_{st}$) of ABS ($209.8{\mu}m$), PE ($81.8{\mu}m$), PBT ($21.3{\mu}m$), MBS ($26.7{\mu}m$) and PMMA ($14.3{\mu}m$) are 62.4, 59.4, 70.3, 303 and 203.6[$bar{\cdot}m/s$], respectively. And flame propagation velocity during plastic dust explosions for prediction of explosive damage was estimated using a flame propagation model based on the time to peak pressure and flame arrival time in dust explosion pressure assuming the constant burning velocity.

  • This study aims to discuss the concept of upcycling as it applies to diaper recycling. Upcycling is the process of converting waste materials into new products of better quality. Through benchmarking of upcycling examples, useless objects can be transformed into valuable materials. However, current upcycling examples determine value creation related to qualitative elements, so that it is difficult to establish any quantitative strategy of upcycled products. Therefore, this study expands a B2B (Business to business) product for improving market availability and establishes a direction using both recovered pulp and mixed plastic at the same time. As a result, the upcycling method for recovered pulp and mixed plastics, is the application of a cellulose insulator. Within the near future, the high quality insulator market will grow more than three times. An upcycling strategy targeting the high quality insulator market needs to be established.

Quality Changes of Traditional Doenjang Fermented in Different Vessels (전통 된장의 담금용기에 따른 숙성 중 품질변화)

  • Traditional doenjang was fermented in different vessels, and its quality characteristics were investigated during ripening. Fermentation vessels used were dark brown glaze pot, dark brown glaze pot with glass lid and plastic box. Water content of doenjang decreased during fermentation, with doenjang pepared in dark brown glaze pot with glass lid showed the highest water content reduction. Water-soluble nitrogen content $(4.56{\sim}5.80%)$ was the highest at 8 months fermentation and amino type nitrogen content continuously increased until 12 months, with doenjang in dark brown glaze pot higher than those in plastic box. Sensory evaluation revealed the quality of doenjang fermented in plastic box was significantly lower than others after 4 months.

Characteristics of Biodegradable Plastic Vegetation Mats (생분해성 플라스틱 식생매트의 특성)

  • This research compared the tensile performance of the vegetation mat, which was developed byu using the rapidly growing biodegradable plastic, Poly Lactic Acid(PLA), according to the biodegradation period. The test applied the method defined by Korean Standard KS. In the result of experiment using single-material PLA mesh and PLA plastic, the tensile strength and molecular weight were inverse-proportional to the 5 months of biodegradation period. The thickness of PLA mesh was increased by 11.2~13.4% while the tensile strenth of it was reduced by 32.4~55.4%. The tensile strength and molecular weight of PLA plastic were also reduced over time. However, the tension test of vegetation mat comprised of PLA mesh, non-woven fabric (including seeds), and jute net didn't have specific tendency.
