Effects of Game Development Organization on Game Development Result (게임개발 조직의 특성이 게임개발 성과에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is to find out how to improve the efficiency of game development by analyzing the effects of the characteristics of game development organization on game development performance. The characteristics of the game development organization were set as independent variables, consisting of game project management characteristics, PM characteristics, game development team characteristics, and organizational culture. Game performance is divided into game project performance and game development final performance. As a result, the characteristics of the four game development organizations were found to be a significant factors in the game project performance and game development final performance. This study suggests that the environment that can focus on game development and appropriate management education for managers are needed to enhance the competence of members in game development team.

A Research on the PMO Functions and PMO Management Level to Increase the IS Project Performance (정보시스템 프로젝트 성과 향상을 위한 PMO 기능과 관리수준에 관한 연구)

  • Nowadays, the IS project is getting more and more complicated and large-scaled. Many researchers and practitioners are interested in the IS development methodologies, automated tools and techniques to decrease project failure and to increase IS project performance. This research is to seize the management level of PMO affecting on the IS project, as a new method to increase the IS project development performance. As a result of surveying the present PMO operation state with banks which are the leading industry to accept the PMO in Korea, technology support management and infrastructure management are the core functions to affect the IS performance including schedule management, quality management, and user and stakeholders' satisfaction. Also, the PMO management level is the important point of IS project success. Among the 5 levels PMI suggested, PMO can implement the project effectively at least at the third level. Korean companies introducing the PMO have to do research the PMO core functions and the management levels according to the project scale, and review the distinctive features of their organization to increase the maturity of IS project. This research has been proved through the Full Structural Equation Model. The results show that the five core functions of PMO have relationship with the IS project performance.

  • 지식경영의 기본적인 목적은 조직 구성원간에 효과적으로 지식을 공유 하도록 하는 것이다. 지식 경영에 관련된 많은 연구들은 지식 공유가 필요한 상황 및 지식 공유를 촉진시키는 조직 환경에 집중해왔다. 그러나 조직에 속한 개인들이 누구와 어떻게 지식을 공유하는 것이 가장 효과적인지에 대해서는 충분한 연구가 이루어지지 않았다. 본 연구의 첫 번째 주제는 지식 전달자와 지식 수용자간에 지식을 주고 받을 때 전달되는 지식 속성의 질을 결정하는 요인을 규명하는 것이다. 특히 본 연구는 프로젝트를 수행하는 개인간의 지식 공유에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 본 연구의 두 번째 주제는 지식 속성의 구성과 지식 속성이 지식 효용 및 업무 결과의 물리적 그리고 심리적 측면에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지를 규명하는 것이다. 본 연구는 기존 연구와 달리 지식 속성의 질을 지식 공유의 성공 여부를 결정짓는 중요 요소로 인지한다.

Team Project Activity and Satisfaction in Business Education (경영학 수업에서 팀 프로젝트활동과 수업만족에 관한 연구)

  • Since 2010, the universities in Korea have been faced severe difficulties on the selection of students and on the delivery of high quality education services, as the number of students is reduced and the college entrance rate is declined. To solve these problems, the universities have introduced the various and professional education services such as team-based projects, case study, e-learning, action learning, etc. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of team-based project learning on the student's satisfaction in business education. The 4 factors(team cohesiveness, teamwork, team performance and goal achievement) are measured by using questionnaire survey and data are collected from 134 students(34 teams) for 4 subjects. The results show that the structure of team cohesiveness${\rightarrow}$teamwork${\rightarrow}$student's satisfaction is statistically significant, and that team performance and goal achievement are not significant. The student's satisfaction in team-based project learning would highly be related with team cohesiveness.

  • Recently, significance of efficiency in construction projects have been increased. So effective new delivery systems are required to improve project quality and value. Those systems could also reduce period, cost, risk and waste of the construction. Also, as current government aims 'Low carbon and Green growth', it is important to manage integrated supervision from the pre-design stage to the operation stage. In USA, AIA suggested IPD which encourages mutual cooperation among stakehklder to improve the productivity. Therefore, this study analyzes the characteristics of the IPD and deduct Present condition and Perception of Domestic Construction Environment to Introduce IPD.

  • In this study, evaluation method for LNG plant FEED is suggested and its validity is confirmed using a well-known decision making technique of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). It is a pairwise comparison technique which can be used when multiple options must be considered for a single decision making problem. In order to develop an objective decision methodology, various decision parameters, sub-parameters as well as the concept of scale of assessment were introduced, and its consistency among these parameters was also checked by calculating the consistency index (C.I.). The methodology suggested in this article will contribute in evaluation of LNG plant FEED with less bias and subjectivity associated with the decision making procedure.

  • With the development of Fintech industry, research interest in crowdfunding is growing. Crowdfunding, originated from crowdsourcing, involves the participation of many individuals' contributions to funding a new project. Specifically, lending based crowdfunding provides a platform for raising funds in the form of loans by connecting borrowers to funders(investors) via Internet, not through traditional financial institutions. Recently, lending based crowdfunding attracts much attention as a new investment alternative; however, there is a lack of research about lending based crowdfunding. This study aims to examine the factors influencing an investor's participation in lending based crowdfunding by focusing on platform features, investor features, and project features. Based on the findings, this study discusses theoretical and practical implications for promoting the crowd's investments through crowdfunding platforms.

A Knowledge-based Approach to Plant Construction Process Planning (지식 기반 플랜트 건설 공정 계획 시스템의 개발)

  • Plant construction projects usually take much higher uncertainty and risks than the projects from other domains. This implies the importance of plant construction project management should be more emphasized than the other domain. Especially, the overall successes of the projects often depend on the performance of process planning and scheduling performed at the initial stage of the project. However, most plant construction projects suffer great difficulties in establishing proper process planning and scheduling timely because of unstructureness and dynamicity of environment of the project itself In this paper, we propose a knowledge-based process planning and scheduling approach in a plant construction domain to cope this problem. First, we modulize process planning knowledge and present the knowledge representation scheme. Second, we propose an inferencing mechanism to build a process planning for plant construction based on the represented process planning knowledge. Since our approach automate the initial process planning, which was usually done by manual way, it can improve the correctness and also completeness of the process plan and schedule by reducing the time to plan and allowing simulations on the various situation. We also design and implement this our approach as a real working system, and it is successfully applied to real plant construction cases from a leading construction company in Korea. Based on this success, we expect our approach can be easily applied to the projects of other areas, while contributing to enhancement in productivity and quality of project management.

Study on Risk Priority for TBM Tunnel Collapse based on Bayes Theorem through Case Study (사례분석을 통한 베이즈 정리 기반 TBM 터널 붕괴 리스크 우선순위 도출 연구)

  • Risk management is essential for preventing accidents arising from uncertainties in TBM tunnel projects, especially concerning managing the risk of TBM tunnel collapse, which can cause extensive damage from the tunnel face to the ground surface. In addition, prioritizing risks is necessary to allocate resources efficiently within time and cost constraints. Therefore, this study aimed to establish a TBM risk database through case studies of TBM accidents and determine a risk priority for TBM tunnel collapse using the Bayes theorem. The database consisted of 87 cases, dealing with three accidents and five geological sources. Applying the Bayes theorem to the database, it was found that fault zones and weak ground significantly increased the probability of tunnel collapse, while the other sources showed low correlations with collapse. Therefore, the risk priority for TBM tunnel collapse, considering geological sources, is as follows: 1) Fault zone, 2) Weak ground, 3) Mixed ground, 4) High in-situ stress, and 5) Expansive ground. In practice, the derived risk priority can serve as a valuable reference for risk management, enhancing the safety and efficiency of TBM construction. It provides guidance for developing appropriate countermeasure plans and allocating resources effectively to mitigate the risk of TBM tunnel collapse.

The Effect of Self-Regulated Learning Components on Attitude and Related Skills of Information Literacy among High School Students (자기조절학습 요소가 고등학생의 정보문해에 대한 태도와 정보문해능력에 미치는 영향)

  • This study determined the effect of self-regulated learning on the attitude and related skills of information literacy in school library project learning. In addition, in-depth interview was administered in order to investigate fundamental reasons for such effects. The results are cognitive regulation ability, motivational regulation ability, behavioral regulation ability proved to have statistically significant effect on the attitude and related skills of information literacy. In-depth interview analysis yielded the following components: cooperative learning, experience in information environment, time pressure, exposure to information literacy education, motivation, relationship with school teachers, delayed gratification, and prior knowledge.
