A Feedback and Noise Cancellation Algorithm of Hearing Aids Using Adaptive Beamforming Method (적응 빔형성기법을 이용한 보청기의 궤환 및 잡음제거 알고리즘)

  • This paper proposes a new adaptive algorithm to cancel the acoustic feedback and noise signals in the digital hearing aids. The proposed algorithm improves its convergence performances by canceling the speech signal from the residual signal using two microphones. The feedback canceller firstly cancels the feedback signal among the mic signal, and then it is reduced the noise using the beamforming method. To verify the performances of the proposed algorithm, the simulations were carried out for some cases. As the results of simulations, it was proved that the feedback canceller and the noise canceller advance about 14.43 dB for SFR, 10.19 dB for SNR respectively during speech, in the case of using the new algorithm.

  • RAON은 우라늄과 같은 무거운 이온을 가속시키는 한국형 중이온 가속기로서 현재 양산에 필요한 실험 시설이 구축되고 있다. 이온원을 생성하고 생성된 중이온 빔을 손실 없이 가속시키기 위해서는 빔의 경로인 입사기장치, 가속장치, 실험장치에서 요구하는 최적의 진공 설계가 이루어져야 하며, 이를 제어하기 위해 진공 기기들과의 데이터 통신 및 기기를 보호하기 위한 인터록 로직을 구성하여야 한다. RAON의 진공부 인터록 로직 및 제어 시퀀스는 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)으로 구성되며, Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System (EPICS) 환경에 통합되어 중앙 제어 시스템에서 관리됨과 동시에 Control System Studio (CSS)를 통해 모니터링 될 것이다. 이를 위해서는 CSS 및 PLC 와 데이터를 송수신할 수 있는 EPICS IOC를 구성하여야 한다. 본 문서에서는 진공 기기들의 정보를 로컬 PLC에서 수집하고, 진공 상태 및 진공 기기들의 작동을 위한 User Interface (UI) 및 EPICS IOC를 구성하는 방법에 대해 논의할 것이다. 진공부 제어 사전 테스트를 위해 프로토 타입 진공 제어 시스템을 구성하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 추후 최적화 된 RAON의 진공 제어 시스템을 구축할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • 스프링은 가장 널리 이용되어지고 있는 기계요소이다. 본 논문에서는 원추형 코일스프링의 강성을 구하기 위하여, 빔요소를 이용한 유한요소법을 사용하였다. 가상일의 법칙을 이용하였고, 코일스프링의 하중벡터를 압축 분포하중으로 대체하였다. 하중의 증가에 의한 절점에서의 변위는 유한요소법를 이용하여 계산하였다. 단계법으로 결점의 변위를 중첩하여 전체 강성행렬을 구하였다. 유한요소법에 의한 해석치는 실험치와 잘 일치하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 프로그램을 사용하여, 스프링 강성과 응력을 예측할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Sheet Resistance of Ion Implanted Si(100) at Various Doses, Energies and Beam Currents (Si(100)에 이온 주입 시 에너지, 조사량과 빔 전류에 따른 면저항의 변화)

  • Simulations were performed using Crystal TRIM software under the same conditions used by previous researchers in order to clarify the mechanism that determines sheet resistance various doses, energies and beam currents. The results showed that the peak of the depth profile (Rp) in the same sample gradually shifts inward and damage increases near the surface as the energy increases for $As^+$ equal dose of $1{\times}10^{15}/cm^2$ implanted into Si(100) energies of 5, 10, and 15 keV. From a theoretical calculation of B+ ion implantation processes at energy of 20 keV using parameters that correspond to 1 mA and 7 mA beam currents with the same dose of $5{\times}10^{15}/cm^2$, it was found that the higher beam currents resulted in more damage near the surface (<100 nm). Likewise, In the simulations employing sets of doses ($1{\times}10^{15}$, $3{\times}10^{15}/cm^2$) and beam currents (0.8 mA, 8 mA), more damage was produced at larger doses and higher current. Thus, sheet resistance at the surface was reduced by the intensified damage from increases in beam energy, dose and beam currents.

  • In this paper, when a refractive index grating and a gain grating are simultaneously present in a DFB (Distributed Feedback) laser for a 1.55 um wavelength with two mirror surfaces without an anti-reflective coating, an analysis program was developed to determine the beam distribution of the oscillation mode in the longitudinal direction. As the phases of the index and gain gratings on the mirror faces are varied, the lasing gain and the beam profiles |R(z)| and |S(z)| of the lasing mode with the emitted power ratio Pl/Pr are analyzed and examined in case of δL<0. In order to reduce the threshold current of a oscillation mode and enhance the frequency stability, κL should be greater than 8, regardless of the grating phase values at the mirror surface.

Development of beam-spring model to analyse the stability of double-deck tunnel (복층터널 안정성 분석을 위한 빔-스프링 모델 개발)

  • In this study, as an initial study for development of stability analysis program of a double-deck tunnel during life cycle, a structural analysis solver based beam-spring model for the double-deck tunnel is constructed. Effect of parameters(slab supporting type, depth of the tunnel and ground elastic modulus) is analyzed with the beam-spring model. The model is also compared and verified by commercial structural analysis program. It is considered that the slab supporting type affects the integrated behavior with segment lining and influence of intermediate slab on the stability of the tunnel decreases as the tunnel depth increases. The relationship between the ground elastic modulus and the effect of the intermediate slab on the segment lining needs further investigation.

A Study on Smart Touch Projector System Technology Using Infrared (IR) Imaging Sensor (적외선 영상센서를 이용한 스마트 터치 프로젝터 시스템 기술 연구)

  • Recently, very rapid development of computer and sensor technologies induces various kinds of user interface (UI) technologies based on user experience (UX). In this study, we investigate and develop a smart touch projector system technology on the basis of IR sensor and image processing. In the proposed system, a user can control computer by understanding the control events based on gesture of IR pen as an input device. In the IR image, we extract the movement (or gesture) of the devised pen and track it for recognizing gesture pattern. Also, to correct the error between the coordinate of input image sensor and display device (projector), we propose a coordinate correction algorithm to improve the accuracy of operation. Through this system technology as the next generation human-computer interaction, we can control the events of the equipped computer on the projected image screen without manipulating the computer directly.

  • In this paper, a program that can be utilized to measure and analyze radio propagation characteristics is developed. This program is able to control the measurement instruments including spectrum analyzer through GPIB interface and analyze the measured data to yield mean excess delay and RMS delay spread. The measured path loss can be compared with theoretical value in free space or inside a tunnel. The measured and analyzed results can also be presented in the forms of graphs. As these tasks can be conducted on the spot of the measurements, this program is very helpful in performing and verifying the measurements immediately. In this thesis radio propagation characteristics with frequency bands of 2.45 and 5.8GHz in subway tunnels are measured by using the program. Path loss and delay spread in subway tunnel is measured and compared according to the form of antenna beam and LOS(Line of Sight) and N-LOS(Non-Line of Sight).

  • 챔버 내부의 압력은 gauge가 달려 있는 몇몇 지점에만 국한되어 읽을 수 있었기 때문에 gauge를 이용한 압력 측정을 통해 보다 상세한 진공도를 구하기란 쉽지 않다. 챔버 내부의 압력은 빔 운전에 적합한 초고진공을 유지하여야 하고, 균일하여야 하므로 신뢰 할 수 있는 방법으로 진공도를 정확히 계산해 볼 필요가 있다. 그리하여 압력에 영향을 미치는 여러 가지 진공 시스템 내부의 요소인 Outgassing, 배기속도, 컨덕턴스, 압력 등을 mass balance equation을 이용해 수식화 하여 정리한다. 이 수식을 가지고 FEA(Finite element analysis)프로그래밍을 이용해 진공도를 계산한다. FEA 프로그래밍에 쓰이는 프로그램은 Matlab, excel을 이용하였다. 이 프로그래밍 결과에 따라 Pressure Profile을 작성 하고, 시간이 변함에 따라 진공도가 어떻게 변하는지 실제로 계산하여 time constant를 구한다. 이 값들을 챔버를 가지고 측정한 데이터와 비교하여본다.

  • We evaluated the positional accuracy of the delivered beams to the target in a phantom by simulating the whole process of the radiation treatments Including CT scanning, planning and beam exposures with MLCs. For this purpose, a phantom was made to calibrate the alignment between the CT and the attached laser system. A new, convenient method was also devised to align the setup lasers in the treatment room. Film was used for the Identification of the delivered beam and analyzed with a homemade computer program. The positional differences between the target and the beam centers varied with the couch rotations. The accelerator we used showed a maximum discrepancy of 2.0 mm at the table angle of $295^{\circ}$. The same measurements based on the new isocenter from the Winston-Lutz test resulted in the maximum of 1.35 mm for all rotation angles. The evaluation of the differences between the target and the beam centers is useful for the treatment planning.
