  • 최근 전 세계적으로 소셜 네트워크 서비스는 놀라운 속도로 발전하고 있으며 특히 스마트폰과 태블릿PC 같은 스마트 기기 사용자가 급격하게 늘어나면서 언제 어디서든지 쉽게 접속하여 사용 할 수 있다. 소셜 네트워크 서비스는 온라인을 통해 인맥을 구축 하는 서비스로 현실의 인맥을 온라인에서 관리하고 서로에게 친구를 소개하여 관계를 형성 한다. 소셜 네트워크 서비스에서 관계를 형성하기 위해서는 다양한 프로필 정보 공개를 통해 다른 사용자들과 관계를 형성 때문에 노출된 개인 프로필 정보는 프라이버시 침해 할 우려가 매우 높다. 또한 위치정보를 자동으로 인식하는 기능이 있어 올리는 사진과 글들의 위치 정보가 노출 되어 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 서비스 되고 있는 소셜 네트워크 서비스들의 프라이버시 침해에 대해 살펴보고 개인 프로필 정보의 유출을 방지 위한 소셜 네트워크 환경에서의 프라이버시 관리 시스템을 제안 하고자 한다.

Privacy Calculus and the Role of Information Transparency in Personal Information Disclosure (온라인상의 개인 정보 제공에 있어서 정보 투명성의 역할 - 프라이버시 계산 모형을 중심으로 -)

  • This study extends the privacy calculus model to investigate the role of information transparency in influencing individual decision making on information disclosure. The proposed model integrates perceived usefulness and ease of use as benefit-side factors and information privacy risk as a risk-side factor accompanying information disclosure, and theorizes the effects of information transparency on the factors. The research model was tested using data gathered from 163 respondents through an online survey method. Results suggest that users'perception of information transparency not only increases the perceived benefits from the online site but also mitigates the risk related with information disclosure, resulting in higher intention to provide personal information to the site. Further, we find that online firms may improve users' perception of information transparency by providing explanation on why particular personal information is required and how it will be used.

  • We consider a privacy-preserving cooperative computation protocol evaluating a beneficial function of all participants' secret inputs, such that each party finally holds a share of the function output. We propose a practical privacy-preserving cooperative computation protocol for solving the linear system of equations problem md the linear least-squares problem. Solutions to these problems are widely used in many areas such as banking, manufacturing, and telecommunications. Our multi-party protocol is an efficiently extended version of the previous two-party model.

  • In this study, based on Privacy Calculus Model, we study whether users' intention of continuous use of closed-type SNS is affected by information privacy concern. In addition, we propose a model that studies if the major factors of the intention of continuous use which are trust, satisfaction and benefits could control the information privacy concern's effect on the intention of use. As a result, companies have to consider protecting the psychological privacy and information privacy of the individual when they design SNS.

Effect of Consumers' Privacy Concerns on Information Disclosure Intentions for Size Recommendation Services Based on Body Information -Focusing on Privacy Calculus Theory (신체 정보를 활용한 사이즈 추천 서비스에 대한 소비자의 정보 프라이버시 염려와 정보 제공 의도 -프라이버시 계산 이론을 중심으로)

  • This study aimed to elucidate the information privacy attitudes and behaviors of users of size recommendation services based on body information. Focusing on the privacy calculus theory, the effects of information privacy concerns as well as perceived risk and benefit of information disclosure on information disclosure intention were analyzed. Consumers who used size recommendation services based on body information were surveyed from August 18 to 24, 2022. Analysis of the 251 responses collected revealed that information privacy concerns did not significantly affect information disclosure intention. Information privacy concerns had a positive effect on perceived privacy risk; however, perceived privacy risk had a negative effect on information disclosure intention, while perceived privacy benefit had a positive effect on information disclosure intention. Therefore, the privacy calculus theory confirms the existence of the privacy paradox, revealing perceived privacy benefit has a greater impact on information disclosure intention than perceived privacy risk.

A Consumer Perception based on the Type of Recommender System : A Privacy Calculus Perspective (상품 추천 서비스 유형에 따른 소비자 반응 연구 : 프라이버시 계산 모델을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of the type of recommender system on consumer's perceived benefit and privacy risk. The result showed that the perceived usefulness and intension to click was high in the order of Hybrid-filtering, Bestseller, and SNS-based system. Privacy concern was high in order of SNS-based system, Hybrid-filtering, and Bestseller. Moderating effects of perceived personalization on the type of recommender system and perceived usefulness were significant. Finally perceived usefulness had positive effect, and privacy concern had negative effect on consumer's intension to click. This study has significant implications for digital marketing bt comparing consumer responses according to the type of recommended service. The result of this study can be helpful for providing and developing future recommender service.

Secure Multi-Party Computation of Correlation Coefficients (상관계수의 안전한 다자간 계산)

  • In this paper, we address the problem of computing Pearson correlation coefficients and Spearman's rank correlation coefficients in a secure manner while data providers preserve privacy of their own data in distributed environment. For a data mining or data analysis in the distributed environment, data providers(data owners) need to share their original data with each other. However, the original data may often contain very sensitive information, and thus, data providers do not prefer to disclose their original data for preserving privacy. In this paper, we formally define the secure correlation computation, SCC in short, as the problem of computing correlation coefficients in the distributed computing environment while preserving the data privacy (i.e., not disclosing the sensitive data) of multiple data providers. We then present SCC solutions for Pearson and Spearman's correlation coefficients using secure scalar product. We show the correctness and secure property of the proposed solutions by presenting theorems and proving them formally. We also empirically show that the proposed solutions can be used for practical applications in the performance aspect.

  • Mobile RFID which integrates mobile network with RFID technique is the technique to get the information of products by transmitting the identifier through mobile network after reading the identifier of RFID tag. It attached on the equipment as the mobile phone. However, mobile RFID has the privacy-related problem among requested secure problems required from the existing RFID. In this paper, the random key created by mobile RFID reader and Tag during the inter-certificating and initialization procedure for mobile RFID users to receive tag information from backend server securely is divided into random sizes and any information on the tag which requires the protection of privacy shouldn't be provided to anyone. In performance analysis, previous protocol used modulo operation in registration and login computation. But the proposed protocol has higher efficiency in saving space and computation volume than MARP scheme and Kim. et. al scheme because our protocol is accomplished by mutual authentication and registering user information through one-way hash function.

  • 최근 들어서 데이터 마이닝은 마케팅, 시장 분석, 사업전략 및 도시계획 수립 등 다양한 분야에서 폭넓게 활용되고 있으며, 새로운 분야로 그 활용 영역을 넓혀가고 있다. 하지만 데이터 마이닝은 그 과정에서 데이터 소유자들의 프라이버시가 침해될 수 있는 문제를 내포하고 있으며, 최근에는 이러한 문제를 해결하고자 하는 노력들이 나타나고 있다. 본 논문에서는 데이터 마이닝에서 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위한 프라이버시 보호 기술들에 대해서 살펴보고 각 방법의 특징에 대해서 기술한다. 특히, 안전한 다자간 계산(Secure multiparty computation)에 기반한 암호학적 프라이버시 보호 기술과 그 활용 가능성에 대해서도 기술한다.

  • 오늘날 슈퍼컴퓨팅은 급격히 진화하고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 고성능 슈퍼컴퓨터의 다양한 과학적 융합 서비스와 관련한 가시화의 중요성을 인식하고, 이와 관련하여 융합 서비스에서의 소비자 프라이버시 침해 우려에 대한 문제를 제기한다. 이를 위하여, 슈퍼컴퓨팅 및 소비자 프라이버시에 대한 문헌연구를 하였고, 프라이버시 계산 모델을 이용한 연구의 필요성과 소비자들로 하여금 프라이버시 정책에 대한 인식의 중요성, 금전적 보상에 따른 개인정보의 긍정적 제공이라는 3 가지의 방안을 제언하였다.
