앞으로의 농촌지도사업은 농정지도를 보강하고 경영지도를 강화하며 나아가 생활환경개선지도를 보완하는 방향으로 비중을 두어야한다. 그러므로서 농민들의 걱정과 의구심을 해소하고 농가소득을 획기적으로 증대하여 풍요로운 삶을 누리도록 해야한다. 또한 깨끗하고 편리한 농촌환경을 조성하므로써 쾌적한 삶의 터전이 하루빨리 마련되어야 한다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of Environmental Enrichment (EE) on improvement of motor function in animal models of Parkinson's Disease. Methods: Male C57BL6 mice weighing 25-30 g, at the age of 12 wks were used in this study. The animals were injected MPTP (1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridin, 20 mg/kg in saline, i.p.) 4 times a day at every 2 hr, and raised in EE cage for 14 days. On day 14, after behavior test, all mice were sacrificed for immunohistochemistry. All values were expressed as means$\pm$S.E.M. Statistical significance was evaluated using a one way ANOVA followed by Sheffe test. Results: There was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in the behavior test. Also EE significantly reduced of TH positive cell loss in Substantia nigra pars compacta as compared to the result of MPTP treatment. Conclusion: Based on these findings, it is reasonable to assume that the environmental enrichment prevents dopaminergic neuronal loss and improves disarrangement of motor function and behavioral disability induced by MPTP.

우리는 지금 경제적, 사회적, 기술적으로 매우 중대한 전화기에 처해 있다. 세계적으로는 기술보호주의와 국제적인 물질특허의 장벽을 넘어야함과 동시에 국내적으로는 건강한 삶, 깨끗한 환경, 풍요로운 사회건설을 통한 복짓회의 구현이 강력하게 요망되고 있기 때문이다. 이와같은 당면과제를 슬기롭게 극복하고 다가오는 21세기의 과학기술 선진국으로 진입하기 위하여는 여러가지 연구부문을 생각할 수 있겠지만, 특히 미생물 내지는 천연물로부터 다양한 대사기능을 갖는 새로운 생리활성 선도물질(lead moldecule)의 탐색연구가 매우 중요하리라 생각된다. 이는 국제적인 물질특허제도 등의 기술보호주의 장벽을 넘을 수 있음과 동시에 부가가치가 높고 세계시장을 확보할 수 있는 거대시장이 기다리고 있기 때문이다. 따라서 현재 정부정책 연구사업으로 추진하고 있는 G7 신기능 생물소재 연구 중 생리활성 선도물질 탐색기술 개발연구가 중과제로 선택된 것은 아주 시기적절한 결정이었다고 할 수 있다.

삶의 터전이 부족한 자연환경을 극복하기 위해 인간은 쓸모없는 땅을 개척하고, 다리를 놓고, 둑을 막는 등 끊임없이 노력함으로써 좀더 풍요로운 삶으로 발전시켜왔다. 그 중 호수나 바닷가에 제방을 쌓고 육지를 만드는 간척은 좁은 땅덩어리를 넓힘으로써 삶의 터전을 좀더 확대시킬 수 있다. 우리나라는 삼면이 바다로 둘러싸여 있고 특히 서해안과 남해안은 리아스식 해안에 갯벌이 발달하여 간척에 유리하다. 간척은 삼국시대부터 그 흔적을 찾을 수 있고 조선시대까지는 작은 갯고랑이나 해변을 막는 정도였으나 일제 강점기 때 주로 군량미 조달 등을 목적으로 본격적인 간척이 이루어졌다. 해방 후에도 간척은 계속되었고 1980년대 이후 중장비가 등장하면서 수천 미터의 제방 길이와 거대한 물목을 틀어막는 대규모 공사로 발전하였다. 근대의 간척사업이 군량미 확보와 미곡 증산 중심이었다면 최근의 간척사업은 생태환경 복원, 관광 등 다목적 용도로 쓰임새가 변화하는 추세이다. 서해안에서는 지금 국토를 넓히는 역사적인 사업이자 최대 규모의 국책사업인 간척사업이 한창 진행 중이다. 중국 동해안을 중심으로 한국과 일본 큐슈를 잇는 환황해권이 세계 최대 경제로 떠오를 것으로 예상됨에 따라 정부가 환황해권의 주도권을 잡기 위해 새만금개발사업을 적극 추진하고 있다. 세계 최장 33km의 방조제와 $401km^2$의 땅을 매립하여 농업 산업단지, 복합도시, 21세기 동북아 관광레저의 허브 등 다용도로 활용하기 위함이다. 본지는 바닷내음 물씬 풍기는 광활한 새만금 벌판에서 새만금집단에너지시설 건설공사를 시공 중인 (주)정호이앤씨(대표 최호선) 양석동 현장소장과 원도급 업체인 두산중공업 용환윤 소장을 만났다.

Environmental design is the process of creating and suggesting a new culture retlectmg the spirits and scientific know ledges of an age, so il is important for a designer, who deals environment, to perceive the present trend of science, The goal of this study is to suggest a way to recover the vanishing image in current urban environment from the viewpoint of changing world-view, The process of this study is as follows. 1. According to spatial hierarchy, the role of each space and the importance of each space in correlation with human are considered. 2. The method to undersk, nd the space from the viewpoint of new paradigm and the direction of environmental design's access are suggested. 3. The notion that introduction of semi public space In urban environment is consistent with new paradigm is demonstrated and the semi public space's role of stimulation of urban activity is emphasized. The result of this study shows a possibility that semi public space, introduced by understanding of a space on the basis of new paradigm, expands the territory of life and overcomes tile negative environmental problem like disorder, increase of entropy.

Early childhood education has a huge impact on the development of one's life. Therefore, it is necessary to implement effective education in childhood in order to develop abilities such as creativity, which is essential for future society. Thus, through narrative inquiry, the characteristics creativity factors, family backgrounds, and parenting styles of the three great Korean were identified, and the commonalities of the three were analyzed. Research shows that all three great people had intellectual curiosity and productive thinking skills. And most of them were born into economically rich families and had an environment where they could experience various things, and there were people who supported them. In addition, there were nurturing people around them who discovered talent and actively participated in education, and their parents formed a stable emotional attachment with their children.

This paper describes a Web search optimization study that investigates both static and dynamic tuning methods for optimizing system performance. We extended the conventional fusion approach by introducing the "dynamic tuning" process with which to optimize the fusion formula that combines the contributions of diverse sources of evidence on the Web. By engaging in iterative dynamic tuning process, where we successively fine-tuned the fusion parameters based on the cognitive analysis of immediate system feedback, we were able to significantly increase the retrieval performance. Our results show that exploiting the richness of Web search environment by combining multiple sources of evidence is an effective strategy.

Purpose: Adolescents who experienced the alcohol consumption have gradually increased. Adolescence is a critical period of the neural plasticity in the brain. Neural plasticity is mediated by neurotrophins and has an impact on cognitive function. Environmental enrichment ameliorates the cognitive function and increases neurotrophins. Thus, we investigated the neuroprotective effect of environmental enrichment on ethanol induced cognitive impairment in adolescent rats. Methods: The ethanol groups and the controls groups were injected with ethanol (0.5g/kg) and phosphate buffered saline, respectively, through intraperitoneal from 28th day of birth for 11 days. The environmental enrichment groups were provided larger cages containing toys than the standard cage. Passive avoidance test and Y-maze test were performed to evaluate the spatial memory. Results: Environmental enrichment+ethanol group showed higher alterations than the standard environment+ethanol group in Y-maze test (p<.05). In hippocampus, The environmental enrichment+ethanol group showed significantly higher level of the number of c-fos positive celsl and density of tropomyosin receptors kinase B receptor than the standard environment+ethanol group (p<.05). Conclusion: So, we suggested that the environmental enrichment played a role as a prophylaxis for prevention of memory impairment induced by ethanol exposure in adolescence.
