  • This study was conducted to investigate factors influencing physical activity in female nursing students based on the habit formation model. The participants were 207 female students at G nursing college and J nursing college located in J city. All data were collected from 31, August to 14, September in 2020 and analyzed by descriptive statistics, ANOVA and Scheffĕ test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, Univariate, and Multivariate multinomial logistic regression using SPSS/WIN 22.0 program. The average level of physical activity measured by the Korean version of IPAQ was 2506.31±2807.05 MET-min/week. According to the physical activity category classified by IPAQ, there were 59students(28.5%) in the high group, 98students(47.3%) in the moderate group, and 50students(24.2%) in the low group. Physical activity habit strength was the significant factor influencing physical activity in female nursing students. Therefore, this study suggests that it is necessary to develop the habit formation program and verify effectiveness for enhancing and maintaining the physical activity in female nursing students.

  • The hypocenter distribution of microseismic events generated by hydraulic fracturing for shale gas development provides essential information for understanding characteristics of fracture network. In this study, we evaluate how inaccurate velocity models influence the inversion results of two widely used location programs, hypoellipse and hypoDD, which are developed based on an iterative linear inversion. We assume that 98 stations are densely located inside the circle with a radius of 4 km and 5 artificial hypocenter sets (S0 ~ S4) are located from the center of the network to the south with 1 km interval. Each hypocenter set contains 25 events placed on the plane. To quantify accuracies of the inversion results, we defined 6 parameters: difference between average hypocenters of assumed and inverted locations, $d_1$; ratio of assumed and inverted areas estimated by hypocenters, r; difference between dip of the reference plane and the best fitting plane for determined hypocenters, ${\theta}$; difference between strike of the reference plane and the best fitting plane for determined hypocenters, ${\phi}$; root-mean-square distance between hypocenters and the best fitting plane, $d_2$; root-mean-square error in horizontal direction on the best fitting plane, $d_3$. Synthetic travel times are calculated for the reference model having 1D layered structure and the inaccurate velocity model for the inversion is constructed by using normal distribution with standard deviations of 0.1, 0.2, and 0.3 km/s, respectively, with respect to the reference model. The parameters $d_1$, r, ${\theta}$, and $d_2$ show positive correlation with the level of velocity perturbations, but the others are not sensitive to the perturbations except S4, which is located at the outer boundary of the network. In cases of S0, S1, S2, and S3, hypoellipse and hypoDD provide similar results for $d_1$. However, for other parameters, hypoDD shows much better results and errors of locations can be reduced by about several meters regardless of the level of perturbations. In light of the purpose to understand the characteristics of hydraulic fracturing, $1{\sigma}$ error of velocity structure should be under 0.2 km/s in hypoellipse and 0.3 km/s in hypoDD.

  • We present a statistical analysis of Korean phonological variations using a Grapheme-to-Phoneme (GPT) system. The GTP system used for experiments generates pronunciation variants by applying rules modeling obligatory and optional phonemic changes and allophonic changes. These rules are derived form morphophonological analysis and government standard pronunciation rules. The GTP system is optimized for continuous speech recognition by generating phonetic transcriptions for training and constructing a pronunciation dictionary for recognition. In this paper, we describe Korean phonological variations by analyzing the statistics of phonemic change rule applications for the 60,000 sentences in the Samsung PBS Speech DB. Our results show that the most frequently happening obligatory phonemic variations are in the order of liaison, tensification, aspirationalization, and nasalization of obstruent, and that the most frequently happening optional phonemic variations are in the order of initial consonant h-deletion, insertion of final consonant with the same place of articulation as the next consonants, and deletion of final consonant with the same place of articulation as the next consonant's, These statistics can be used for improving the performance of speech recognition systems.

  • Intake of groundwater by tunneling in a mountainous area mostly results from groundwater flow through fractured parts of total rock mass. For reasonable analysis of this phenomenon the representative joint groups 1, 2, and 3 have been selected by previous investigations, geological/geophysical field tests and boring works. Three dimensional fractures were generated by the FracMan and MAFIC which is a three dimensional finite element model has been used to analyse a groundwater flow through fractured media. Monte Carlo simulation was applied to reduce the uncertainty of this study. The numerical results showed that the average and deviation of amounts of groundwater intaked into tunnel per unit length were $5.40{\times}10^{-1}$ and $3.04{\times}10^{-1}m^3/min/km$. It is concluded that tunnel would be stable on impact of groundwater environment by tunneling because of the lower value than $2.00{\sim}3.00m^3/min/km$ as previous and present standard on the application of tunnel construction.

  • In a construction project, the portion for maintenance costs for a building is considerable compared to the initial construction cost. As such, Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis is being increasingly utilized to assess the design value of engineering work in Korea. Additionally, the Public Procurement Service in Korea announced that it will be mandatory for all domestic construction projects to adopt BIM. Furthermore, the paradigm for architectural design has shifted from 2D to 3D, and to BIM, which includes a data management system. Within this background, however, there is currently no adequate BIM-based LCC analysis software and the requirements of cost estimation for repair and replacement cost for a building is not completely adequate in BIM tools such as Revit and Archicad. Therefore, this study suggests a process of cost estimation for repair and replacement (R&R) cost based on IFC data. First, we analyzed existing R&R criteria and defined BIM-based requirements when calculating R&R costs. These requirements were extracted from relevant IFC data. Subsequently, this was saved to a database and a BIM-based database was built for R&R cost estimation. Finally, this database was connected with external databases such as R&R Criteria DB and Cost Information DB to calculate R&R costs. This process is expected to improve upon the traditional process of cost estimation of R&R cost by applying a BIM model. The proposed process can contribute to a further standardizing of BIM-based LCC analysis thru application to initial construction costs, energy costs, and other maintenance costs.

  • Eureka-147 DAB(Digital Audio Broadcasting) system on which DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) system is based, was designed for the requirements of CD qualify audio with ${10}^{-4}$ bit error rate. Audio program may be primary service in DAB system, but multimedia program can be primary service in DMB system. Therefore, the bit error rate required must be below ${10}^{-7}$${10}^{-8}$ to transmit multimedia data via DMB channel. In order to meet the requirements and keep backward compatibility of DAB system we propose an outer channel coding scheme using Reed-Solomon coding and convolutional interleaving. This paper shows the simulation results for DMB channel performance based on mobile channel model. Also, it describes the needs and the effects of the outer channel coding.

  • The object-oriented coding technique which is one of the coding methods in very low bit rate environment is suitable for videophone image sequence. The selection of source model affect image analysis. In this paper, an image analysis method for the object-oriented coding is presented. The process is composed of changed region detection andmotion estimateion. First, we use the standard deviation of frame difference as thrreshold to extract themoving area. If thesum of gray values in mask is greater than the threshold, the center pixel of the mask is regarded as moving region. After moving is detected in changed region by edge operator, observation point is determined from moving region. The motion is estimated by 6-parameter mapping method with determined observation point. The experimantal resutls show that the proposed method can significantly improve the image quality.

  • In this paper, we analyze the security and performance of the Quantis Quantum random number generator in terms of cryptography through experiments. The Quantis' post-processing is designed to output full-entropy via bit-matrix-vector multiplication based on mathematical background, and we used the min-entropy estimating test of NIST SP 800-90B so as to verify whether the output is full-entropy. Quantis minimizes the effect on the random bit rate by using an optimization technique for bit-matrix-vector multiplication, and compared the performance to conditioning functions of NIST SP 800-90B by measuring the random bit rate. Also, we have distinguished what is in Quantis' post-processing to the standard model of NIST in USA and BSI in Germany, and in case of applying Quantis to cryptographic systems in accordance with the CMVP standard, it is recommended to use the output of Quantis as the seed of the approved DRBG.
