The Effect of Additives on Sound Absorption Coefficient of Polyurethane Foam (폴리우레탄폼의 흡음율에 대한 첨가제의 영향)

  • The effect of additives on the mechanical properties of polyurethane foam were investigated. The resin used in this study was prepared by adding catalyst, surfactant and cross-linker to both KONIX FA-703 polyether polyol(80%) and KONIX FA-733 polyether polyol(20%). The polyurethane was foamed by adding equivalent amount of isocyanate(TDI-80, prepolymer M-200, pure MDI) to the resin and was used in property measurements after 72 hours hardening. The physical properties of polyurethane foam were investigated in terms of density, tensile strength, tear strength, elongation, sound absorption coefficient and gel profile measurements. The effects of surfactant on the cell size was investigated by scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The sound absorption coefficient was directly related to the cell size. The physical properties were improved with increasing amount of surfactant(L-5309) until 1.0 part per hundred polyol(1.0pphp).

A Study on VoiceXML Application of User-Controlled Form Dialog System (사용자 주도 폼 다이얼로그 시스템의 VoiceXML 어플리케이션에 관한 연구)

  • VoiceXML is new markup language which is designed for web resource navigation via voice based on XML. An application using VoiceXML is classified into mutual-controlled and machine-controlled form dialog structure. Such dialog structures can't construct service which provide free navigation of web resource by user because a scenario is decided by application developer. In this paper, we propose VoiceXML application structure using user-controlled form dialog system which decide service scenario according to user's intention. The proposed application automatically detects recognition candidates from requested information by user, and then system uses recognition candidate as voice-anchor. Also, system connects each voice-anchor with new voice-node. An example of proposed system, we implement news service with IT term dictionary, and we confirm detection and registration of voice-anchor and make an estimate of hit rate about measurement of an successive offer from information according to user's intention and response speed. As the experiment result, we confirmed possibility which is more freely navigation of web resource than existing VoiceXML form dialog systems.

Elastic-Damage Constitutive Model for Nonlinear Tensile Behavior of Polymeric Foam (폴리머 폼의 비선형 인장거동을 모사하기 위한 기공이 고려된 손상 탄성 구성방정식)

  • This paper details the development of an isotropic elastic-damage constitutive model for polymeric foam based on irreversible thermodynamics to consider the growth and coalescence of voids. The constitutive equations describe the material behavior sustaining unilateral damage. To facilitate finite element analysis, the material properties for specific types of polymeric foams are applied to the developed model; the model is then implemented in ABAQUS as a user-defined material subroutine. To validate the developed damage model, the simulated results are compared to the results of a series of tensile tests on various polymeric foams. The proposed damage model can be utilized to further research on continuum damage mechanics and finite element analysis of polymeric foams in computational engineering.

  • In this paper, XML form generator is designed and implemented on the basis of e-business's DTD (Document Type Definition) document. Rapid evolving for internet services and information infrastructure give many impacts on the e-business, it need to make a new kinds of web-based or electronic-based document formats for e-business transaction trading. In current situations, there are many kinds of document formats on conventional business documents for each companies. And, it has many problems on the aspects of the document reusability and cost to support interoperability between documents for the trading partners. To solve this interoperability of documents, the constructed XML form generator is changing XML form document into HTML (HyperText Markup Language) based web document by XSLT. And it also generates XML business message validating for e-Business DTD by user Inputs.

Metal Foam Flow Field Effect on PEMFC Performance (금속 폼 유로가 고분자전해질 연료전지 성능에 미치는 영향)

  • Flow field is an important parameter for polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) performance to have an effect on the reactant supply, heat and water diffusion, and contact resistance. In this study, PEMFC performance was investigated using Cu foam flow field at the cathode of 25 cm2 unit cell. Polarization curve and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy were performed at different pressure and relative humidity conditions. The Cu foam showed lower cell performance than that of serpentine type due to its high ohmic resistance, but lower activation and concentration loss due to the even reactant distribution of porous structure. Cu foam has the advantage of effective water transport because of its hydrophobicity. However, it showed low membrane hydration at low humidity condition. The metal foam flow field could improve fuel cell performance with a uniform pressure distribution and effective water management, so future research on the properties of metal foam should be conducted to reduce electrical resistance of bipolar plate.

  • Interest in the exterior design of buildings has increased in recent years. Demand for various architectural structures is increasing. However, domestic form liner and design are still limited. Thus, this research uses 3D printers to omit the existing mold production process. Use digital data to produce products economically using various materials. It can be hoped that extending the lifespan of the concrete structure will reduce the cost of saving costs. The purpose of this study is to utilize the 3D printers to develop the design of a suitable formative shape for the purposes of the concrete. In this study, 3D printed form enables the possibility that the actual application is practical. Consideration for the artistic design of the art line was proposed for the purpose of considering the use of concrete structures for concrete structures.

  • It is useful to detect defects of a preform for resin transfer molding before and after placement into the mold. To conduct this test, the gas flow method has been developed. This method not only measures permeability but also detects defects utilizing the pressure readings obtained from the gas flow test. This paper introduces the methodology and examine the applicability to actual processes.

A Study on the Minimization of Transmissibility of Seat Foam in Passenger Vehicles (승용차 시트용 폼의 진동전달율 최소화에 관한 연구)

  • One of the most important factor for the comfort of the passenger vehicles is the minimization of the compressible transmissibility during the running vehicles. Seat foam materials of I2 series(index 95 and the contents of isocyanate TDI was changed in percentages 75, 70, 65, 60, 50, 40) and DI series(density 50kg/$\textrm{m}^3$, index was changed 100, 95, 90) showed the significant differences in their transmissibility depended upon their chemical constitution such as index and contents of isocyanate TDI. The minimum trasmissibility of seat foam materials of I2 series was found from the materials with the contents of 65% isocyanate TDI and the index 95 at the frequency 4.79~5.31Hz. Also the minimum transmissibility of seat foam materials of DI series was found from the materials with the index 90 and the density of 50kg/$\textrm{m}^3$ at the frequency of 4.79~5.31Hz.

  • 본 논문에서는 알루미늄 폼 복합재료로 된 DCB(이중외팔보) 구조체의 파괴 거동을 시뮬레이션 해석하였다. 시뮬레이션 해석에 사용된 모델은 영국 공업규격과 ISO국제규격에 의거하여 3D모델을 설계하였다. 해석 결과 모델의 두께가 두꺼울수록 발생한 크랙의 길이가 길게 나타났고, 높은 하중이 발생하였다. 이와 같은 연구에서 얻어진 해석 결과를 통하여 알루미늄 폼 재질로 접합된 실제 복합재 구조물에 적용시켜 파괴거동을 분석하고 그 기계적인 특성을 파악할 수 있다.

Bending Collapse Characteristics of Hat Section Beam Filled with Structural Foam (폼 충진 모자단면 빔의 굽힘붕괴 특성)

  • Design capability for high safety vehicle with light weight is crucial to enhancing competitive power in vehicle market. The structural foam can contribute to restraining section distortion in body members undergoing bending collapse at vehicle crash. In this study, first, the validation of analysis model including structural foam model for simulating fracture behavior was discussed, and the bending collapse characteristics of five representative section types were analyzed and compared. Next, with changing the laminate foam shape, load carrying capability and absorbed energy were observed. The results suggests a design strategy of body members filled with laminate foam, leading to effectively elevating bending collapse characteristics with weight increase in the minimum.
