Moments of the Bivariate Zero-Inflated Poisson Distributions (이변량 영과잉-포아송 분포의 적률)

  • Zero-Inflated Poisson models are mixed models of the Poisson and Bernoulli models. Recently Zero-Inflated Poisson distributions have been used frequently rather than previous Poisson distributions because the developement of industrial technology make few defects in manufacturing process. It is important that univariate Zero-Inflated Poisson distributions are extended to bivariate distributions to generalize the multivariate distributions. In this paper we proposed three types of the bivariate Zero-Inflated Poisson distributions and obtained these moments. We compared the three types of distributions by using the moments.

  • Conjugate prior density families were motivated by considerations of tractability in implementing the Bayesian paradigm. But we consider problem that the conjugate prior p($\Theta$) cannot be used in restriction of the parameter $\Theta$. This article considers the nonconjugate prior problem of hierarchical Poisson model. We demonstrate the use of latent variables for sampling non-standard densities which arise in the context of the Bayesian analysis of non-conjugate by using a Gibbs sampler.

Soccer goal distributions in K-league (K-리그에서 축구 골의 분포)

  • In this paper we analyse the distributions of the number of goals scored by home teams and away teams in K-league soccer outcomes between 1983 and 2012. Real soccer data is explained in K-league using statistical distributions such that Poisson, negative binomial, extreme value and zero inflated Poisson. How close the goals of home and away fits the different distributions are tested by performing chi-square goodness of fit tests. According to these tests, the Poisson distribution gives the best fit to the home goals data. But it is best to model the away goals data on zero inflated Poisson distribution. Also, there is some weak evidence of the dependence for home and away goals.

  • 본 논문에서는 k개의 포아송 확률변수가 서로 종속 되어 있는 다변량 포아송 분포를 따를 때, 주어진 분산-공분산 행렬 구조를 유지하는 다변량 포아송 확률난수 생성방법에 대해 다루었다. 특히, 확률난수를 생성하기 위해 선형방정식을 푸는 두 가지 수치해석 알고리즘을 제안하였으며, Park 등 (1996)의 다변량 베르누이 확률난수 생성에 활용된 알고리즘과의 연관성을 다루었다.

  • Zero-Inflated Poisson distributions have been widely used for defect-free products in manufacturing processes. It is very interesting to check the shift after the unknown changepoint. If the detectives are caused by the two different types of factor, we should use bivariate zero-inflated model. In this paper, likelihood ratio tests were used to detect the shift of changes after the changepoint. Some inferences for the parameters in this model were made.

  • Kim et al. (2006) analyzed the donation data surveyed by Voluneteer 21 in year 2002 at South Korea using a Poisson regression based on the mixture of two Poissons and detected significant variables for affecting the number of donations. However, noting the large deviation between the predicted and the actual frequencies of zero, we developed in this note a Poisson regression model based on a distribution in which zero inflated Poisson was added to the mixture of two Poissons. Thus the population distribution is now a mixture of three Poissons in which one component is concentrated on zero mass. We used the EM algorithm for estimating the regression parameters and detected the same variables with Kim et al's for significantly affecting the response. However, we could estimate the proportion of the fixed zero group to be 0.201, which was the characteristic of this model. We also noted that among two significant variables, the income and the volunteer experience(yes, no), the second variable could be utilized as a strategric variable for promoting the donation.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the terms in queries are distributed according to the 2-Poisson model in the documents represented by abstract/title or full-text. In this study, retrieval experiments using Binary independence and 2-Poisson independence model, which are based on the probabilistic theory, were conducted to see if the 2-Poisson distribution of the query terms has an influence on the retrieval effectiveness, particularly of full-text information retrieval system.

  • 일반적으로 모수에 대한 신뢰구간 추정량이 점 추정량보다 훨씬 더 선호되고 있으며 많이 알려져 있다. 그러나 이산형 분포의 경우에는 주로 대 표본 근사 이론에 입각한 근사 신뢰구간이 많이 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 여러 가지 이산형 분포 가운데에서 가장 많이 활용되고 있는 이항분포와 포아송 분포의 모수에 대한 다양한 신뢰구간 추정량들을 소개하고 대 표본 근사 이론에 의한 신뢰구간뿐만 아니라 소 표본의 경우에도 유용하게 이용될 수 있는 신뢰구간 등을 살펴보고 이들 신뢰구간들을 비교하였다.

The Effects of Dispersion Parameters and Test for Equality of Dispersion Parameters in Zero-Truncated Bivariate Generalized Poisson Models (제로절단된 이변량 일반화 포아송 분포에서 산포모수의 효과 및 산포의 동일성에 대한 검정)

  • This study, investigates the effects of dispersion parameters between two response variables in zero-truncated bivariate generalized Poisson distributions. A Monte Carlo study shows that the zero-truncated bivariate Poisson and negative binomial models fit poorly wherein the zero-truncated bivariate count data has heterogeneous dispersion parameters on dependent variables. In addition, we derive the score test for testing the equality of the dispersion parameters and compare its efficiency with the likelihood ratio test.

  • 컴퓨터의 발전에 따른 MCMC를 비동질적 포아송 과정에 이용하였다. 베이지안 추론에서 조건부 분포를 가지고 사후분포를 결정하는데 있어서의 계산 문제를 고려하였다. 특히 분포가 이중지수, 곰페르츠, 랄리, 감마, 그리고 검벨인 일반 순서통계량 모형에 대하여 깁스 샘플링과 메트로폴리스 알고리즘을 활용한 베이지안 계산과 모형선택을 제시하였다.
