Output Feedback Sliding Mode Control with High-gain Observer (고이득 관측기를 이용한 슬라이딩 모드 제어기 설계)

  • We consider a single-input-single-output nonlinear system which is represented in a normal form. The model contains the uncertainty. A high-gain observer is used to estimate the states variables to reject a modeling uncertainty We design the globally bounded output feedback controller using sliding mode control to stabilize the closed-loop system. The globally bounded output feedback controller reduce the peaking in the states variables. The proposed method give a more design freedom in the design of the globally bounded controller than that of the previous work.

  • The closed-loop system modeling of an Active/semiactive suspension system has been accomplished through an artificial neural Networks. The 7DOF full model as the system equation of motion has been derived and the output feedback linear quadratic regulator has been designed for the control purpose. For the neural networks training set of a sample data has been obtained through the computer simulation. A 7DOF full model with LQR controller simulated under the several road conditions such as sinusoidal bumps and the rectangular bumps. A general multilayer perceptron neural network is used for the dynamic modeling and the target outputs are feedback to the input layer. The Backpropagation method is used as the training algorithm. The modeling of system and the model validation have been shown through computer simulations.

  • 증발기와 응축기로 폐회로 냉동 시스템을 구성하여 기존 사용 냉매인 R22와 대체냉매로써 부각되고 있는 R407C, R410A를 사용하여 여러 가지 관 직경과 휜 형상을 가지는 열교환기에 대한 열전달량, 질량유량, 열교환기를 지나가는 냉매의 온도분포 그리고 공기측 압력강하를 측정하였다. 모든 열교환기에서 냉매의 질량유량이 증가함에 따라 열전달량은 증가하였다. R22와 R407C의 경우에 증발기측에서는 거의 같은 열전달량을 나타냈고 응축기측에서는 R407C가 전체적으로 열전달량이 높게 나타났다. 그리고 열교환기의 전달량은 유로의 형상보다는 냉매의 질량유량과 전열면적에 더 많은 영향을 받는다. 공기측 압력 강하는 열수가 많은 열교환기의 경우가 작게 나타났으며 슬릿휜을 가지는 열교환기의 압력강하가 가장 크고 웨이비휜을 가지는 열교환기가 가장 작게 나타났다.

  • 원자력발전소 중 중수로 형 원전에서는 원자로 냉각재로 중수를 사용하고 있으며, 방사능 누출을 예방하기 위하여 폐회로 순환으로 냉각을 하게 된다. 운전 중 냉각재 량의 감소는 원자로 핵연료 냉각 율을 부족하게 하여 노심 안전성에 치명적인 결과를 초래할 수 있고, 열교환기 혹은 격납용기 대기 중으로 고방사화 중수가 누설될 경우에는 작업자의 피폭을 초래할 수 있다. 따라서 원전의 냉각재 량을 실시간, 온라인으로 감시하는 것은 원자로 냉각 안전성 뿐 만 아니라 작업자 보호측면에서 매우 중요하다. 현재, 국내뿐만 아니라 중수로 형 원전 설계국인 캐나다에서도 실시간 감시보다는 아직 수작업에 의해 오프라인 감시를 하고 있으며 정확도, 신 시간성 등에서 문제점들을 가지고 있다. 여기에서는 발전소 전체 중수 량 냉각재를 컴퓨터를 이용하여 실용적이고 신뢰도 높게 측정, 감시하는 방법론을 개발한 내용과 시스템에 대해 기술한다.

A Study on a grounding system of electric railway (전기철도 접지시스템에 대한 연구)

  • An electrical railway system uses high voltage system for train traction and low voltage system for train control. Railway systems are broadly distributed across mountains, sea sides and cities. Electrical accidents provoke the death and injury of a human being and the damage of the equipment by the overcurrent due to the catenary dropping and by the overvoltage due to lightning. Grounding systems are adopted for the protections of the system from the overcurrent and the overvoltage. Isolation grounding for each system can be easily installed. However, the closed circuits between grounding systems can be occurred. The currents flow through the closed circuits cause the abnormal operation of the system. To overcome the problem of the isolation grounding, the equipotential bonding is usually adopted. The equipotential bonding should have very small grounding resistance. In this paper, we showed the transition from the isolation grounding system to the common grounding system and presented the comparison and the analysis of two grounding systems by simulation. In addition, we proposed the direction for a new grounding system of electric railway.

  • The closed-loop multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system has been adopted by long term evolution (LTE) system. Many techniques are proposed to enhance the transmission of LTE's advanced version to meet the increasing requirement, in which differential codebook gains a lot of interest. Previous researches on designing differential codebooks focused on quasi-diagonal unitary matrix which cannot guarantee the equal gain property. The equal gain property is very important to uplink because the performance of uplink is very sensitive to the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). In this paper, we derive the analytical expression of average bit error rate and PAPR for differential precoding MIMO system. Using the analytical results, we investigate the performances of several differential precoding schemes considering non-linear amplifier at the transmitter. Some selected simulation results indicate that the conventional differential precoding schemes have good performances without the consideration of non-linear amplifier. While considering non-linear amplifier, the proposed differential codebook outperforms other differential precoding schemes because it maintains the equal gain per transmit antenna.

  • The cost of a looped pipe network is affected by a set of loop flows. The mathematical model for optimizing the looped pipe network is expressed in the optimal set of loop flows to apply to a stochastic optimization method. Because the feasible region of the looped pipe network problem is nonconvex with multiple local optima, the Modified Stochastic Probing Method is suggested to efficiently search the feasible region. The method consists of two phase: i) a global search phase(the stochastic probing method) and ii) a local search phase(the nearest neighbor method). While the global search sequentially improves a local minimum, the local search escapes out of a local minimum trapped in the global search phase and also refines a final solution. In order to test the method, a standard test problem from the literature is considered for the optimal design of the paralled expansion of an existing network. The optimal solutions thus found have significantly smaller costs than the ones reported previously by other researchers.

  • Korea's seaweed is using a method that is not suitable for the automated process and quality are significantly lower than the export volume of 20,000 tons or more. Therefore, in this paper, we improved the existing dry steaming weight control device and electronicized the remote control system and the existing dry steaming weight control device. This is implemented with precise and detailed device, unlike the dry seaweed weight control method using the conventional valve which depends on the user's feeling and experience. Also, because it is a remote control system, it can help to produce seaweed safely even if you don't climb on the machine. The Seaweed weight control device implemented is expected to contribute greatly to the automation process and industrial growth of the steeply growing dry laver production and export industry.

Interactive Projection by Closed-loop based Position Tracking of Projected Area for Portable Projector (이동 프로젝터 투사영역의 폐회로 기반 위치추적에 의한 인터랙티브 투사)

  • We propose an interactive projection technique to display details of a large image in a high resolution and brightness by tracking a portable projector. A closed-loop based tracking method is presented to update the projected image while a user changes the position of the detail area by moving the portable projector. A marker is embedded in the large image to indicate the position to be occupied by the detail image projected by the portable projector. The marker is extracted in sequential images acquired by a camera attached to the portable projector. The marker position in the large display image is updated under a constraint that the center positions of marker and camera frame coincide in every camera frame. The image and projective transformation for warping are calculated using the marker position and shape in the camera frame. The marker's four corner points are determined by a four-step segmentation process which consists of camera image preprocessing based on HSI, edge extraction by Hough transformation, quadrangle test, and cross-ratio test. The interactive projection system implemented by the proposed method performs at about 24fps. In the user study, the overall feedback about the system usability was very high.

Optimal Active Seismic Control of Structures with Optimum Location of Active Controllers (제어기의 최적위치선정을 고려한 구조물의 최적 능동지진제어)

  • The object of this study is to develope a program with proposed numerical techniques for an optimal seismic control of structures using active tendon systems. Ricatti closed-loop algorithm has been applied to control the active tendon systems with time-delay problem. The optimal control is formulated as an optimization problem which is finding optimal weighting matrices by minimizing the quadratic performance index by SUMT. In order to find the optimal location of active tendons in structures, controllability index has been introduced. From numerical examples, the current optimal control technique with optimal location of tendons was suitable to control the seismic response of structures.
