  • 본 논문의 연구내용은 동양의 사상중의 하나인 음양오행의 오행속성을 물리적으로 해석하여 사람의 오장육부의 크기에 따른 체질 분류에 기초하여 수행하였다. 이러한 체질분류에 의하여 생리적 증상, 걸리기 쉬운 질병, 그리고 성격상의 특징과 장단점을 파악 할 수 있었다. 이러한 일련의 연구에 대한 본 실험실의 지속적인 연구 작업의 하나로 MMPI (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory)로 일컬어지는 미네소타 다면적 인성검사 설문문항에 대한 음양오행적 분석을 시도하였다. 대표적인 분류의 예를 들면 간이 큰 사람이 건강이 좋지 않을 때 나타날 수 있는 대표적인 심리적 증상으로는 욕설을 잘하며, 심장이 약하여지면 상사병에 걸릴 가능성이 커지며, 폐와 대장이 나빠진 사람은 울기를 잘하며, 그리고 위장이 나빠진 사람은 공상을 잘 하고, 신장방광이 나빠지면 겁이 많아지고 생명력을 나타나는 심포삼초의 기능이 떨어지면 불안하고 초조하여지는 심리적 성격과 연결되는 것이다. 이러한 방법으로 분석하였을 때 건강, 성격, 습관 등에 관련된 MMPI 566문항 중 많은 부분에 대하여 흥미롭고, 성공적인 분석을 내릴 수 있었다.

프로펠러 보호터널 부착 연안어선 개발에 관한 연구

  • 최근 우리나라 어선어업은 한중일 어업협정, 연안 어업자원 감소 및 연안오염 등 사회적, 환경적 변화가 급변하고 있어 이들을 고려한 어선 선형개발이 필요로 한다. 현재 우리나라의 어선 중 연안지역에서 조업하는 5톤 미만의 소형어선은 전체 어선 중 $65\%$ 이상으로 구성되어 있으나 선박의 크기가 작고 부가가치가 낮은 관계로 지금까지 전문적인 연구는 거의 없었던 것이 현실이다. 한편, 서$\cdot$남해 연안에서 작업 및 항해하는 연안어선들의 해양사고 발생율은 전체사고의 $69.6\%$로 매년 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 전체 어선 안전사고 중 부유폐어망, 로프 등이 추진기에 감긴 사고는 전체 사고의 $10.4\%$로 매년 증가하고 있다. 이에, 추진기 손상에 의한 어선 사고와 연관하여 추진기를 보호하기 위한 장치로서 물분사 추진기(Water-Jet), 펌프제트(Pump-Jet)장치들이 있으나 이들은 고가 수입품으로서 영세한 어민들의 소형어선에 장착하기에는 한계가 있어, 본 연구에서는 폐그물, 로프 등 해상 부유물에 의한 추진기 손상이 발생되지 않는 프로펠러 보호터널 부착 추진장치를 개발을 목적으로 한다. 프로펠러 부착 추진장치는 기존 선미를 수정하여 추진기를 선체 안쪽으로 배치하며 돌출되는 부분은 덕트로 보호하고 있으며 이러한 추진기는 워터제트 추진기와는 달리 가격이 싸고 그물이나 부유물에 걸리지 않고 고장 시 신속한 대응이 쉬워 소형 연안어선에 적합할 뿐만 아니라 그물, 부유물, 갯벌이 많은 국내의 서$\cdot$남해 연안에서 작업 및 항해 시 매우 유용할 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구는 `프로펠러 보호터널 부착 연안어선의 선형개발`을 최종목표로 수행하였으며, 연구개발 내용은 기존 소형 연안어선의 분류 및 특성 조사 연구, 프로펠러 보호터널형 선미 선형 개발, 기존 선형 및 보호터널형 선형의 모형시험, 개발선의 구조강도 특성, 프로펠러 설계 및 단독시험, 보호터널 부착 추진기의 효율 검증 및 개발 대상 어선의 조선공학적 제 계산, 설계도작성 등을 실시하였다. 주요 요소 기술로서는 프로펠러 보호터널 부착 선형의 모형시험을 통하여 선미선형을 개발하며 FRP판부재의 구조강도 특성을 분석하고 그 결과를 활용하여 4톤급 연안어선의 시제선을 건조하고 시운전을 통하여 주요성능을 확인하였다.

Pulmonary Giant Cell Carcinoma (폐에 발생한 거세포암종 -1 Case-)

  • The pulmonary giant cell carcinoma is classified as a variant of a large cell carcinoma and is diagnosed by the minimum component of 10% huge, pleomorphic and multinucleated giant tumor cell and emperipolesis of the neutrophils into the tumor cells. This tumor is characterized by local recurrences and early metastasis with extremely short patient survival. However, there are some reports that state that the survival time was extended by the operative resection and postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy. A 46-year old male was admitted with complaint of hemoptysis for 2 months. Through chest X-ray and chest CT, a 5cm sized mass was found in the apical segment of the right upper lobe. During the preoperative evaluation, stenotic lesion in the left anterior descending coronary artery was found and treated by percutaneous transarterial coronary angioplasty. Four weeks later, right upper lobectomy was performed and the mass was proven to be a giant cell carcinoma. The patient received adjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Adsorption Characteristics of Antibiotics Amoxicillin in Aqueous Solution with Activated Carbon Prepared from Waste Citrus Peel (폐감귤박으로 제조한 활성탄을 이용한 수중의 항생제 Amoxicillin의 흡착 특성)

  • Batch experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of operating parameters such as the temperature, initial concentration, contact time and adsorbent dosage on the adsorption of antibiotics amoxicillin (AMX) by waste citrus peel based activated carbon (WCAC). The kinetics and isotherm experiment data can be well described with the pseudo-second order model and the Langmuir isotherm model, respectively. The maximum adsorption capacity of AMX by WCAC calculated from the Langmuir isotherm model was 125 mg/g. The adsorption of AMX by WCAC shows that the film diffusion (external mass transfer) and the intraparticle diffusion occur simultaneously during the adsorption process. The adsorption rate is more influenced by the intraparticle diffusion than that of the external mass transfer as the particle size of WCAC increases, and the intraparticle diffusion is the rate controlling step. The thermodynamic parameters indicated that the adsorption reaction of AMX by WCAC was an endothermic and spontaneous process.

Long-term Performance of Highway Embankment Using Tire Shred-Sandy Soil Mixture (재생혼합토(Tire Shred-Sandy Soil Mixture)로 조성된 도로성토구조물의 장기성능)

  • In this paper, the long-term performance of highway embankment using tire shred-sandy soil mixture as a lightweight fill material was evaluated through the field monitoring and field test programs. A tire shred-sandy soil embankment was constructed to support a four-lane highway in Indiana, which was built with a 50 : 50 volumetric ratio of tire shreds (maximum particle dimension of 76 mm) and sandy soil (SP, USCS). After opening of the road for traffic, no noticeable differential settlement and lateral deformation were observed, and no adverse environmental impact on temperature was detected as a result of the construction of the tire shred-sandy soil embankment. Moreover, FWD test results showed that tire shred-sandy soil mixture provides bearing capacity comparable to that of conventional fill and meets the criterion for a design life of 20 years.

An Experimental Study on Depositional Parameters of Cohesive Sediments in Semi-closed Bay (준 폐만 점착성 퇴적물의 퇴적매개변수 산정에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • In this study, a series of deposition tests have been performed using an annular flume and depositional parameters of natural cohesive sediments have been estimated domestically for the first time. The natural cohesive sediments for deposition tests have been collected from Kwangyang Bay and total 18 deposition tests have been carried out on different bed shear stress respectively but with the same initial concentration. Test results for natural cohesive sediments of Kwangyang bay show that minimum bed shear stress ${\tau}_{bmin}$, standard deviation ${\sigma}_1$, and time scale parameter $({\tau}_b^*-1)_{50}$ are $0.11N/m^2$, 0.68 and 0.85, respectively. Through the comparison with results of previous studies for other sediments, the results of this study are shown to be good enough to verify.

  • These days, the amount of waste concrete has been increasing due to reconstruction and redevelopment. So, the use of recycled aggregates is recommended to solve environmental problems. Some investigations have been carried out to study the flexural behavior of reinforced concrete beams with recycled aggregates. But these have some limitation due to the use of low quality recycled aggregates and small-scale specimens in the laboratory. The purpose of this experimental study is to evaluate flexural behavior of RC beam with recycled fine aggregates. Three RC beams were manufactured with different replacement level of recycled fine aggregates. From the test results, the flexural behavior of the beam is described in terms of crack patterns and failure modes. And the flexural strength of RC beam with different types of recycled fine aggregates is compared with the provision of KCI code.

  • Concrete absorbs $CO_2$ in the air because of carbonation. according to rising concern for lasting earth environment efforts of reducing greenhouse gas, especially co2, are occurred whole industry throughout the world. In this paper selected one building and computed amount of production and absorbtion of co2 during its lifecycle at concrete. In computing amount of absorbtion of co2 considered amount of absorbtion according to the area of concrete changing senarioes of servicelife(40,60,80 years) and deconstruct preiod(60,40,20 years). As a result, size of concrete and maintenance period of disused concrete work increasement of $CO_2$ as main factors. We came to the conclusion that maintenance period is more important than recycle of unused concrete as a method for reducing environmental load in architectural industry.

Leaching Behavior of Nickel from Waste Multi-Layer Ceramic Capacitor (폐(廢) 적층형(積層形)세라믹콘덴서에 함유(含有)된 니켈의 침출거동(浸出擧動))

  • Leaching behavior of nickel contained in waste Multi-Layer Ceramic Capacitor (MLCC) was investigated using a batch reactor. The effects of acid type, acid concentration, leaching temperature, particle size, and reaction time on the extraction of nickel metal from waste MLCC were examined. As a result, 97% of nickel contained in waste MLCC was leached out in 30 min at the temperature of $90^{\circ}C$ under the condition of $HNO_3$ concentration 1N, solid/liquid ratio 5 g/L and particle size $-300/+180{\mu}m$. It was also found that a Jander equation was useful to fit well the leaching rate data. The rate of nickel leaching is controlled by pore diffusion in $BaTiO_3$ layer and has an activation energy of 37.6 kJ/mol (9.0 kcal/mol).

Invasive Thymoma Originating from Right Pleura with Normal Thymus A case Report (흉막에서 발생한 침습성 흉선종,정상 흉선을 가진 예)

  • Thymoma Is an anterior mediastinal tumor, arising from the thymus, but occasionally has ectopic focus such as neck, trachea, thyroid, pulmonary hilum, lung parenchyme and pleura. Forty-two year old male patient was admitted due to progressive development of shortness of breath in 4 months. He had a history of exposure to asbestos for About 10 years duration In recent 15 years. Radiologically, multiple pleural masses were seen rom apex to diaphrAgm, with no evidence of anterior mediastinal mass,with fluid in right pleural cavity. Closed thoracotomy drainage with open biopsy were performed. Effusion cell block showed many T cell marker positive Lymphocytes & some epithelial cells compatible with thymoma, and the tissue also showed cortical type thymoma. Pleuropneumonectomy and thymectomy followed by 60 Gy radiation therapy were done and the patient is well 8 months postoperatively. The pleura is markedly thickened by the invasion of thymoma and the interstitial space of the lung tissue,but the normal appearance of thymus was present in remote area (Masaoka classification IVa). We report a case of ectopic invasive thymoma arising from the right pleura with intact thymus.
