A Study on Improving the Evaluation System of School Libraries in Korea (학교도서관 평가체제 개선방안에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to improve the evaluation system of school libraries in Korea. Major issues to improve the evaluation system were identified through school library evaluations and an analysis of the existing evaluation system of the Committee on Library and Information Policy. The issues include evaluation organizations, purposes of evaluation, selection of objects, evaluation period length, systems of evaluation, and ways to receive results. Alternatives for improving the evaluation system were selected through surveys and professional consultation. Finally this study proposed a more effective evaluation system which emphasizes the self-regulation and responsibility of provincial education offices in Korea.

  • 근래에 범용 운영체제의 보안성을 강화하기 위해 접근 통제, 침입 탐지 그리고 감사 등과 같은 새로운 보안 기능이 계속해서 추가되고 있다. 추가된 보안 기능에 의해서 어느 정도 시스템 성능에 변화가 생기는지는 보안 운영체제를 도입하려는 사용자들에게 중요한 선택 기준이 되고 있다. 그러나 현재 보안 운영체제들에 대한 성능 분석 자료는 범용 운영체제와 동일한 방법으로 평가된 것들이 대부분이며 여러 보안 운영체제들의 성능을 객관적으로 비교해 놓은 자료 또한 없는 상태이다. 본 논문에서는 잘 알려진 보안 운영체제들을 대상으로 범용 성능 평가 도구를 이용하여 성능 분석 지표를 추출하였다. 본 논문의 결과는 보안 운영체제의 성능 평가를 위해 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.

  • The importance of this Paper is to develop a standard Performance evaluation model and scenario for the secure OS. According to the scenario that was conducted for Performance evaluation, benchmarking was Performed. All the benchmarking result was thoroughly analyzed. Our result contribute to evaluating Secure 05 that contains various security policy affecting system Performance. In this paper, it is expected to Provide guidelines of secure operating system for the consumer, developer and evaluator. It will also contribute to the systematic basis for evaluation of security 05 and the promotion of domestic information security industry by retaining basic technology for international trends.

A Case Study on Comparison Between Korea and America in Accreditation System of Engineering Education (미국과 한국의 공학교육인증 체제 비교에 대한 사례 연구)

  • The purpose of the study was to analyze system of accreditation for mechanical engineering education between A university in Korea and M university in U.S.A. which were evaluated in 2007 under EC2000. Literature review through self-study report and homepage of two programs was used to accomplish objectives of the study. Strengths of U.S.A for accreditation evaluation system were systematic curriculum operation, design education with cooperation system, course-based evaluation system for program outcome, supportive circumstances for research of faculty and guidance to students. On the other hands, strengths of Korea were likely to use quantitative data for educational improvement and were able to systematic guide to students with portfolio. In the future, plan and research for design education, curriculum operation and program outcome evaluation are needed to establish ABEEK evaluation.

  • Internet accelerates the speed of Information society causing changes the method and purpose of education. The word "life-long learning" is no longer a new tenn for many of the world citizens, and they ask for a system to fulfill their need to learn. Information communication technology enables and provides technical base for such needs. Web based cyber education, especially, is known to be an important and alternative instructional method to mediate learning at a distance. At the present, however, with the breakneck pace of growth and interests on Web-based distance education, there are no guidelines provided to assure the quality. In this study, we have identified guiding principles to design and develop quality assurance model for effective distance education. This is critical, especially in Korea, since 9 distance. education institutions have been accredited to offer degree programs starting 2001 spring semester. Using this model, distance education providers and consumers can develop or select effective on-line courses.

  • The Android operating system currently has a proven method of Unity optimization. However, the Tizen operating system does not know how effective the existing Unity optimization method can be applied to the Tizen operating system and how effective it is. In this paper, we analyze the efficiency of applying Unity optimizing techniques of Android operating system to Tizen operating system. To get this purpose, this study investigates whether the existing Unity optimization method can be applied to Tizen operating system and evaluates the efficiency of the method through Unity Profiler. This research will allow us to further evaluate the Unity optimizations for the existing Android operating system in the future.

  • 역동적 평가는 구성주의와 사회문화적 관점이 교육과정에 많은 영향을 주면서 이를 평가에 반영하기 위한 대안으로 등장한 새로운 평가의 방향이다. 전통적인 심리 측정에 대한 비판에서 시작되었으며, 통계적인 자료정리에서 벗어나 아동에 대한 변화가능성을 평가하자는 것이 주목적이다. 결과 지향적인 평가는 미래의 수행에 대한 완전한 예언을 할 수 없지만, 역동적 평가에서 각 개인의 평가는 개인의 특성에 따라 각기 다른 체제 내에서 이루어진다. 역동적 평가의 입장 가운데서도 본 연구에서는 사회문화적 체제 관점에서 실제영역과 발달가능영역에 대한 사회적 상호작용에 대해 관심을 가지고 있다. 이를 위해 개인에 작용하는 생태학적 회로망을 평가의 주요한 배경으로 선택하고 있으며, 사회문화적 관점에서 평가관의 변화를 제시하면서 이에 따른 수학교육적 시사점을 찾아본다.

  • 1999년 처음 출범한 연구회체제는 소속 연구기관들의 1999년도 연구실적 및 경영내용에 대한 기관평가를 실시하였다. 기관평가는 짧은 준비기간에도 불구하고 비교적 객관적인 지표체계 및 과학적인 평가방법을 개발하여 평가의 신뢰성과 타당성을 제고하려고 하였다. 그러나 연구회 소속 연구기관들은 기관평가시스템에 대한 재검토 필요성에 대부분이 공감하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 정부출연연구기관의 책임성 확보와 성과지향적인 관리 및 평가체제 구축을 위하여 도입된 기관평가의 목적, 대상, 체계, 기준 및 그 결과 등을 국가연구개발사업 조사·분석·평가와 비교분석하고, 그 개선방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • Safety-Critical systems, such as Plant Protection Systems in nuclear power plant, plays a key role that the facilities can be operated without undue risk to the health and safety of public and environment, and those systems shall be designed, fabricated, installed, and tested to quality standards commensurate with the importance of the functions to be performed. Computer-based Instrumentation and Control Systems to perform the safety-critical function have Real Time Operating Systems to control and monitoring the sub-system and executing the application software. The safety-critical Real Time Operating Systems shall be designed, analyzed, tested and evaluated to have capability to maintain a high integrity and quality. However, local nuclear power plants have applied the real time operating systems on safety critical systems through Commercial Grade Item Dedication method, and this is the reason of lack of detailed methodology on assessing the safety of real time operating systems, expecially to the new developed one. This paper presents the methodology and experiences of safety evaluation on safety-critical Real Time Operating Systems based upon design requirements. This paper may useful to develop and evaluate the safety-critical Real Time Operating Systems in other industry to ensure the safety of public and environment.
