  • The number of customers on Social Network Services(SNS) is rapidly increasing with the spread of smartphones. As of 2018, about 2.7 billion people of the world population (about 7.1 billion people) and more than 31.2 million people of the total population of South Korea (about 50.1 million) use SNS. There are several studies have been conducted on increasing SNS market. Most of them, however, were not quantitative but qualitative studies. This study is conducted on domestic SNS market to identify the competitive relationship among SNS platforms with great proportion in South Korea, such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. The objective is to suggest some hypotheses of the competitive relations, test them, and finally verify the trend of domestic SNS market. Competitive Lotka-Volterra (LV) model is used to find out the competitive relationships and Moving Window is also used to show the changes of them over time. In order to test the hypotheses on the relationships, some experiments are performed with Moving Window technique. Thus, the relations among the platforms and the changes of them over time are identified.

Second, negative emotions such as sadness and rejection are 22.38% of the total, but the intensity of emotions is 23.91%, which is higher than the ratio, suggesting that these negative emotions are intense. This study has a contribution to the detailed factor analysis of the public's positive and negative emotions through big data analysis on the 'post-corona new normal'.

Specifically, entertainer SNS (53.7%) was used the most compared to SNS of politician(39.8%) and influencer(6.5%). Instagram(69.1%, 57.1%) was utilized the most for entertainer and influencer and this were mostly related to personal information. On the other hand, Facebook(70.4%) was cited the most for politician, mostly related to opinions on social/political issues. The average length of SNS-based articles was 536 characters. • University Identity can effectively convey the core values for which schools aim by establishing university identity and integrating one unique image. Therefore, most universities are actively implementing promotional strategies such as newly defining university identity or releasing cultural products. Recently, university brands have been continuously exposed and differentiated through SNS such as Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook as well as existing advertisements and homepages. This study analyzes the identities of the top 80 universities in Korea and China, by referring to the rankings of Asian universities in the 2021 QS World University Rankings, and addresses differences in terms of design shape, number of colors, and use of English. Moreover, 'Cohen's Kappa' consistency analysis was applied to secure data accuracy by analyzing the difference in visual expression of university identity between the two countries through quantification and cross-analysis of visualized university identity design of Korean and Chinese universities. As a result of the study, it is creative, irregular, and has a lot of use of blue, red, and green, and most of them can be seen in less than two colors. In addition, it turns out that word marks and abstract forms of expression are used for university identity design. This study can present implications as effective basic data for internationalizing universities and creating differentiated university identity designs in the future.

  • With the development of virtual and augmented reality technologies, the metaverse, a digital world that provides an immersive feeling like the real world, is overgrowing. Many IT companies such as Naver, Facebook (Meta), and NVIDIA are developing innovative technologies and launching the Metaverse platform and related products on the market. However, even though it is a new business in which many global big tech companies are aggressively investing, the results are not yet precise compared to the market expectations, and the rate of increase in the number of users is gradually slowing down. This can be attributed to the lack of consideration and understanding about how to grow the metaverse ecosystem and operate & harmonize various users/components from the time the metaverse platform was designed. In order to propose a better solution to these problems, this study adopts the yin-yang and five elements theory, which was created to understand the operation logic and logic of the human world for thousands of years. This research would like to propose a theory of double lines-five elements by defining two essential spaces of the metaverse platform, online and offline, and five essential elements constituting the metaverse platform. This study intends to provide a theoretical lens on how to design and operate a platform through the double lines and five elements theory and the concept of coexistence and polarity between the five elements.

  • This study is a study on the filter bubble reinforcement phenomenon of SNS recommendation algorithm such as YouTube, which is a characteristic of the Russian-Ukraine war (2022), and the victory or defeat factors of the hybrid war. This war is identified as a hybrid war, and the use of New Media based on the SNS recommendation algorithm is emerging as a factor that determines the outcome of the war beyond political leverage. For this reason, the filter bubble phenomenon goes beyond the dictionary meaning of confirmation bias that limits information exposed to viewers. A YouTube video of Ukrainian President Zelensky encouraging protests in Kyiv garnered 7.02 million views, but Putin's speech only 800,000, which is a evidence that his speech was not exposed to the recommendation algorithm. The war of these SNS recommendation algorithms tends to develop into an algorithm war between the US (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook) and China (TikTok) big tech companies. Influenced by US companies, Ukraine is now able to receive international support, and in Russia, under the influence of Chinese companies, Putin's approval rating is over 80%, resulting in conflicting results. Since this algorithmic empowerment is based on the confirmation bias of public opinion by 'filter bubble', the justification that a new guideline setting for this distortion phenomenon should be presented shortly is drawing attention through this Russia-Ukraine war.

  • Since reaching the top in the Billboard Main Album Chart 'Billboard 200' with Love Yourself: Tear in May of 2018, BTS once again took first place after just three months in the 'Billboard 200'(September 3, 2018) with the repackaged album Love Yourself: Answer. It opened the doors to the 'Hallyu 4.0' by conquering the main Billboard Chart with a song sung in Korean. BTS rose to the top on the 'Billboard 200' twice, thus being recognized globally for their musical talent(song, dance, promotion, etc.), and took their place in the mainstream music market of the world. BTS moved away from intuitive interaction such as mysticism, abnormality, irregularity, etc. but instead created their own world(BTS Universe) with fans around the world through two-directional communication such as consensus, sharing and co-existence. They are recognized as artists that went beyond being an idol group that simply released a few hit songs that had now elevated popular music to a new form of art. In result, they retained a highly loyal global fan base(A.R.M.Y.) and they are continuously creating good influence with them. This study analyzed the success factors of BTS using the S-M-C-R-E model as follows. ① Sender: BTS'7-person 7-colors fantasy and 'All-in-one storytelling' strategy of producer Bang Shi-hyuk ② Message: Create global consensus of 'you' rather than 'me' ③ Channel: Created real-time common grounds with global fans through social network platforms such as Youtube, Facebook and Instagram ④ Receiver: Formed highly loyal global fandom(A.R.M.Y.) that extends outside of Korea and Asia ⑤ Effect: Created additional economic value and spread good influence

  • Metaverse is one of the most frequently used words recently, with digitalization accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic that started in 2019 and the development of information and communication technology. It is expected to bring a new revolution in our life as a whole in user experience. In particular, as telecommuting was adopted in the business area, interest in virtual office services such as digital video conferencing and remote offices, which are similar to the metaverse, has also increased. In this study, a study on the intention to use the metaverse service used in the work environment was applied to the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2(UTAUT2). External variables for metaverse characteristics, such as self-presentation, telepresence, and technostress, were analyzed and discussed. In this study, PC-based Gather.town and VR-based Facebook Horizon, currently the most well-known and considered usable in work environments, were introduced to potential users and conducted a survey. This study has academic implications in that the research has examined the factors that affect the technology acceptance intention of users who want to apply the metaverse as a work environment based on the UTAUT2 model, unlike previous studies that have been mainly researched on the general metaverse. In practice, it may be helpful to suggest factors that should be considered when firms adopt the metaverse for business purposes.
