Rhodococcus sp.EL-GT의 페놀 분해특성

  • 본 연구는 방향족 화합물질 중 페놀폐수에 대한 생물학적 처리를 위해 본 실험실에서 분리한 페놀분해능이 우수한 Rhodococcus sp. EL-GT의 catechol 분해시 1,2-dioxygenase 분해활성이 높은 것으로 보아 분해경로가 ortho-pathway임을 알 수 있었다. 향후 Rhodococcus sp. EL-GT의 페놀분해 균의 유전학적 연구를 통하여 방향족 화합물의 분해에 보다 우수한 균으로 개발시켜 효율적인 처리에 이용가능성을 예측할 수 있었다.

Phenolic Compounds and Antioxidant Activity in Cell Wall Materials from Deodeok (Codonopsis lanceolata) (더덕 부위별 세포벽 물질의 페놀성화합물과 항산화 활성)

  • This study measured the amounts of uronic acid, total sugars, non-cellulosic neutral sugars, phenolic compounds as well as antioxidants activity in cell wall materials (CWM) derived from different parts of deodeok (Codonopsis lanceolata). The values of the uronic acid (UA): neutral sugars (NS) ratio in polymers extracted from the CWM of the flesh and skin were 4 and 6, respectively. The total sugar contents of the flesh and skin were 788.6 and 824.9 ${mu}g/mg$ of CWM, respectively. Galactose and arabinose were the main noncellulosic neutral sugars. The chemical structure of five phenolic compounds from the CWM were analyzed and identified as vanillic acid, p-OH-benzaldehyde, vanillin, ferulic acid, and 8-O-4' diferulic acid by HPLC spectral data. Among them, p-OH-benzaldehyde, vanillin, and 8-O-4' diferulic acid were the first compounds identified from the deodeok. The content of 8-O-4' diferulic acid in the skin CWM was 56.1 ${mu}g/g$ AIR (alcohol insoluble residue). The ethanol-NaOH fractions from CWM had the highest oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) activities, followed by the AIR fractions and ethanol fractions.

In Vitro Antioxidative Activity and Polyphenol and Tocopherol Contents of Bugak with Lotus Root, Dried Laver, or Perilla Leaf (연근, 김, 깻잎 부각의 산화방지 활성, 폴리페놀 화합물과 토코페롤 함량)

  • In vitro antioxidative activities and antioxidants of the lotus root, dried laver, and perilla leaf bugak, Korean traditional fried cuisine, were evaluated. The bugak was prepared with fermented glutinous rice batter and unroasted sesame oil for use in the pan-frying. The perilla leaf bugak showed the highest radical scavenging activity and reducing power, with the lowest in the lotus root bugak. The antioxidative activity of the blanched lotus root was lower than the dried laver or the perilla leaf. Polyphenol content was higher in the perilla leaf bugak than the lotus root or the dried laver bugak, and tocopherols were mainly derived from frying oil. The antioxidative activity of bugak was correlated well with polyphenol contents, but there was no correlation between tocopherol contents and the antioxidative activity.

Determination of Several Phenolic Compounds in Cultivars of Grape in Korea (국내산 포도 품종의 주요 페놀계 화합물 함량 비교분석)

  • Natural polyphenolic compounds such as catechin, epicatechin derivatives, quercetin, and resveratrol, have been reported to have a wide range of biological activities against carcinogen and reactive oxygen species. The compounds can act together in synergy or can independently affect the activity. Contents of four compounds in different grape cultivar groups with different skin color were determined through HPLC. There were not significant differences in content of four phenolic compounds among the different skin color groups of the same grape cultivar groups, but were among different grape cultivars within the same skin color groups. Totally, contents of catechin, epicatechin derivatives were much higher than those of quercetin and resveratrol. In each skin color group, Campbell Early in Black, Seneka in Green, and Benigard in Red group showed highest contents, respectively. Nothing or a very small amount of four phenolic compounds was detected in some cultivars. This information would be useful for grape breeders and manufactures.

Synthesis of Dodecyl Phenol Novolac Epoxy Resin and Physical Properties of Coatings (Dodecyl phenol novolac 에폭시수지의 합성과 도막물성)

  • In the paper, mild solvent soluble alkyl group modified epoxy resins were prepared via a three-step method; (1) the condensation reaction of dodecyl phenol (DP) and formaldehyde, (2) the crosslinking reaction of dodecyl phnol novolac compound (DPC) and bisphenol A diglycidyl ether, (3) the dodecyl phenol novolac epoxy resins containing fatty acid (DPFA) was prepared by introducing fatty acid to DPC. Equivalent ratios of DP and formaldehyde were 1.25~1.333/1.0. Equivalent ratio of DPC and bisphenol A diglycidyl ether (YD-128) was 1.0/2.0. Reactivity, viscosity, molecular weight, solvent solubility, and physical properties of DPFA were investigated. The result show that as the number of aromatic ring of DPFA increased, viscosity increased and solvent solubility improved. When we test the properties of coatings by blending the synthesized DPFA with a white pigment, DPFAC-5 using triphenylphosphine (TPP) as a ring-open catalyst showed optical performance for drying time, adhesion, hardness, impact resistance, acid resistance and storage stability.

  • Iron (III) phosphate was employed as an efficient catalyst for the chemo selective acetylation of alcohols and phenols under solvent free condition at room temperature and with high yields. Iron (III) phosphate is also a potential green catalyst due to solid intrinsically, reusable and with high catalytic activity.

  • 최근 호두 기내 소비량은 급증하나 대부분 실생묘로 조림되어 결실까지 장기간 소요되며, 무성 번식률이 낮아 보급확대가 어렵다. 본 연구는 호두나무 관행 묘목 번식법 개선이 가능한 우량 국산묘 대량증식 기술 개발로 최적 배양조건을 구명하고자 수행하였디. 호두나무 등 목본류는 식물 조직배양 기본배지에서 산화방지제를 첨가하여 사용하는 경우, 배양체에서 생기는 페놀 화합물(Phenolic compound)의 작용을 억제하여 배양 식물체의 갈변(Browning) 또는 흑변(Blackening) 현상을 감소시키는 효과가 있다. 페놀 추출물은 배지로 빠져나와 갈변시키며 생존율을 저하시키는 원인이 되고 이를 제거하는 산화방지제는 배양 식물체의 생산효율을 높이는 효과를 나타내는 강력한 항산화제(Antioxidant) 역할을 한다. 호두나무의 액아를 배양하게 되면 조직 및 배지의 갈변화가 심하게 일어나는데, 휴면 정도가 깊을 수록 정단에서 추출되는 페놀성 물질의 함량이 증가하며, 식물 조직 내 페놀성 물질의 함량 정도와 배양의 고사율과는 상관관계가 있다. 이러한 식물 배양체에서 생기는 페놀 화합물에 의해 발생되는 배양상의 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 계대배양을 자주해 주거나 활성탄(Activated charcoal), Ascorbic Acid 등의 첨가물을 배지에 추가하는 방법이 있다. 이에 따라 호두 '신령' 품종의 액아배양의 페놀집적을 제거하기 위해 배지 내에 산화방지제 첨가물질 등을 농도별로 처리하였다. 호두나무 액아 배양 후 8주차 산화화방지제 첨가물질의 농도별 처리 효과는 생존율은 85.3%를 보였으며, 신초 형성율 76.4%, 신초수 1.9개/주, 신초장 27mm/주의 양호한 결과를 나타냈으며, 페놀 제거 및 유식물체 고사 억제 효과를 보였다.

Isolation and Structure Elucidation of Flavonoid Glycosides from Lindera obtusiloba BL. (생강나무에서 분리한 Flavonoid 배당체의 화학구조)

  • 생강나무 (Libdera obtusiloba BL.)의 페놀성 화합물들을 분리하기 위하여 잎고 줄기의 MeOH 엑스로부터 계통 분획한 EtOAc 분획물은 silica gel column chro-matography로 분리하여 2종의 화합물을 얻었다. IR, UV,$^1H-NMR$, $^13C-NMR$ 등의 분석을 행하여 화학구조를 밝힌 결과 이들 화합물의 화학구조는 잎에서 $quer-cetin-3-O-\alpha-L-rhamnopyranoside(quercitrin),$ 줄기에서는 quercetin $3-O-\beta-D-galactoyranoside(hyperoside)로$ 각각 결정하였다. 이 화합물들은 생강나무에서 처음으로 분리하였다.
