A Study on the Structural Stability of the Swash Plate Piston Pump for Marine Hydraulic Power Supply (선박 유압공급 장치용 사판식 유압 피스톤 펌프의 구조적 안정성에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, a structural stability analysis of the swash plate hydraulic piston pump installed on hydraulic supply systems in marine vessels is presented. In order to verify the integrity of the pump design, a standard structural analysis technique based on the finite element method has been applied for various operating and boundary conditions. For the maximum operational torque (223 N·m) at 5°, 10°, and 15° of the swash plate angle, the maximum deformation, equivalent stress and safety factor are evaluated. The analytical results show that under current operating conditions, the structural reliability of the design has been confirmed.

  • Performance tests of a 75-tonf liquid rocket engine turbopump were conducted. The performance of sub-components - two pumps and a turbine - and their power matching were measured and examined firstly near the design speed under the LN2 and kerosene environment. In the real propellant - LOX and kerosene - environment tests, design and off-design performance of turbopump were fully verified in regime of the rocket engine operation. During the off-design performance tests, turbopump running time was set longer than the engine operating time to verify the pump operability and set the pump inlet pressure close to design NPSHr to investigate pump suction capability in parallel. It has been found that developed-turbopump satisfied all of the engine required performances.

  • 서인천복합화력발전소의 해수펌프를 속도제어 하여 소내 소비 전력을 절감하고 전동기의 직입기동에 의한 스트레스를 줄이기 위하여 생산기술 개발 과제의 연구개발품 2MVA GTO 인버터를 실증 적용하였다. 적용 시스템은 단위 인버터 병렬운전으로 인버터의 입력측은 병렬다중 방식, 출력측은 직렬다중 방식으로 설계하였다. 인버터에 의한 운전 자료를 기준으로 소비전력을 산정하여 비교하였으며 그 적용 방법과 결과를 보인다[1][2].

  • 본 논문은 3단배기계의 구성으로 $10^{-7}$[Torr]이하의 진공도를 얻을 수 있는 초고진공시스템을 시제작하고 이에 대한 동적 특성과 유지 및 관리방법에 대하여 기술하였다. 초고진공배기계의 구성에 있어서는 진공재료와 부품의 선정, 펌프조합, 다단식 펌프조합, 탈가스처리와 잔류기체의 성분분석이 대단히 중요함이 밝혀졌다. 또한 진공용기의 내표면의 공기중에의 노출은 배기성능을 대단히 저하시키게 된다. 본 연구결과와 관련기술은 각종 실험장치의 배기계의 최적화 설계는 물론이고 다용도로 이용될 것이다.

  • In modem manufacturing, new applations and technologies demand smaller, and functional devices to replace large systems. As miniaturization becomes a necessity, many companies are interested in small pumps for use in creating ultra-high vacuum, but past efforts to develop such systems have failed due to problems with vibration, stress, heat and power consumption. This paper shows analysis-based design techniques for high vacuum turbomolecular pump by finite element analysis.

A High Speed and Low Jitter PLL Clock generator (고속 저잡음 PLL 클럭 발생기)

  • This paper presents a new PLL clock generator that can improve a jitter noise characteristics and acquisition process by designing a multi-PFD(Phase Frequency Detector) and an adaptive charge pump circuit. The conventional PLL has not only a jitter noise caused from such a demerit of the wide dead zone and duty cycle, but also a long delay interval that makes a high speed operation unable. An advanced multi-structured PFD circuit using the TSPC(True Single Phase Clocking) circuit is proposed, in which it shows an excellent functionalities in terms of the jitter noises by designing its circuit with the exact dead zone and duty cycle. Our new designed adaptive charge pump in the loop filter of a PLL can improve an acquisition characteristic by adaptively increasing of current. The Hspice simulation is done to evaluate the performance of the proposed circuit. Simulation result shows that our PLL has under 0.01ns in the dead zone, no influence from the duty cycle of input signals and under 50ns in the acquisition time. This circuit will be able to be used in develops of high-performance microprocessors and digital systems.

  • This paper presents the hydraulic design an impeller and radial diffuser of a high-pressure multistage pump for reverse osmosis. The flow distribution and hydraulic performance for the meridional design of the impeller were analyzed numerically. Optimization was conducted based on the response surface method by varying the hub and shroud meridional curvatures, while maintaining the impeller outlet diameter, outlet width, and eye diameter constant. The analysis results of the head and efficiency with the variation in the impeller meridional profile showed that angle of the front shroud near the impeller outlet (${\varepsilon}Ds$) had the highest effect on head increase, while the hub inlet length ($d_{1i}$) and shroud curvature (Rds) had the highest effect on efficiency. From the meridional profile variation, an approximately 0.5% increase in efficiency was observed compared with the base model (case 25).

  • The study deals with controlling the velocity of hydraulic motor with PI controller through the control of displacement pump which has higher efficiency than valve-controlled system. This was done as follows. First, we modified original displacement pump and designed this electrohydraulic puma system. Second, after experimenting static and dynamic characteristics, we identified system parameter of approximated model. Lastly, to control the velocity of hydraulic motor we controlled the angle of the swash plate of displacement pump. Test carried out in the laboratory shows that transient and steady state response could be improved by PI controller reducing power loss.
