Harmonic and Torque Ripple Reduction of Electric Propulsion System using 12-Pulse Diode Rectifier by Auxiliary Supply (보조 전원을 이용한 12 펄스 다이오드 정류기를 사용하는 추진시스템의 고조파 및 토크 리플 저감)

  • The input current of three phase rectifier which is mainly used in the propulsion system of the electric propulsion ship includes a variety of low order harmonics. To reduce these harmonics, the power conversion system, used in the large vessels which high power is required, is currently used the rectifiers of 12-pulse output, but it still has a problem that occurs $12{\pm}1$ harmonics. Also, in the case of the direct torque control technique which is widely used for the speed and torque control, the torque ripple is severe and the input current of motor has greatly included harmonics by the switching of the inverter. In order to reduce harmonics and improve the performance of torque control, this paper presents that the auxiliary supply assisted into the 12-pulse rectifier of the electric propulsion system using direct torque control technique. We confirm the validity of the proposed method through the simulation under the environment of a real vessel system.

  • 본 논문에서는 새로운 형태의 철도 차량용 추진 시스템인 리니어펄스모터의 구조적 특징을 분석하고 그 구조적 특징으로 발생하는 문제점의 해결방안을 제시한다. 따라서 지상에 포설되는 2상의 고정자 상권선 중 A상 권선 상부에 B상 권선이 적층되어 포설되는 특징으로 인하여 발생하는 일종의 토크 리플 성분을 저감하기 위한 기법을 제시하며 모의실험 및 실제 실험을 통하여 제시한 토크 리플 저감 기법의 타당성을 검증한다.

  • The harmonic distortion level may be significant in electric propulsion systems, as the main loads usually are variable speed propulsion/thruster drives. Distortion of currents and supply voltage waveforms may lead to: Increased power dissipation(losses) in equipment connected to the network, such as generators, motors, transformers, cables, etc., from the harmonic currents, may cause overheating and deterioration of the insulation, and reduced life time of the equipment. In this paper introduced the canceling method of harmonic currents by a multipulse drive with phase shifting transformer. The simulation results indicated a good speed response to the middle speed range of electric propulsion motor. And also, THD(total harmonic distortion) and torque ripple could be reduced in comparing the 12-pulse drive with 6-pulse drive.

  • 본 논문에서는 직접토크 제어에서 자속과 토크의 오차에 따라 결정된 전압벡터와 회전자 위치에 따른 실제 인가될 수 있는 d-q축 전압을 근사 전압함수로 근사화하여, 자속 및 토크오차와 전동기의 속도에 따라 듀티비를 결정하는 방식을 제안한다. 이러한 방식은 선택된 전압벡터가 일정한 상수 크기의 전압을 인가하는 것으로 가정된 기존의 직접토크 제어 방식에 비해 정밀한 전압 기준을 바탕으로 펄스폭의 듀티비를 결정함으로써, 동일한 스위칭 주파수 내에서 토크 및 자속오차의 크기를 감소 시킬 수 있는 장점이 있다.

  • 최근 유도전동기를 이용한 가변속 구동시스템의 수요가 자동화 및 에너지의 효율적 이용 측면에서 육상 산업체는 물론, 선박 및 해양플랜트에도 확산되고 있다. 유도전동기의 토크 고속제어법은 가변속 구동시스템의 고성능화를 위한 필수과제로서, 제어법 적용시 2차저항의 동정문제가 대단히 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 유도전동기의 토크 고속 응답제어계에 있어서 고정도의 토크응답을 실현하기 위한 2차저항 동정법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 모터의 회로방정식으로부터 유도되며, 모터의 인가전압과 1차전류 정보로부터 간단히 구현된다. 제안된 방안의 타당성을 검증하기 위하여 펄스폭변조방식의 전압형 인버터를 상정한 수치 시뮬레이션을 수행하며 그 결과를 통하여 제안방식의 유용성을 입증한다.

  • In this paper, vector analysis on the novel quick torque control of Induction Motors(I.M) based on voltage-controlled type is conducted. It was very difficult to get a step response of torque when the primary voltage was selected as control input of induction motors in conventional quick torque control methods. To solve this problem, the new control method was developed using a new concept of pulse addition which can realize the stepwise torque response of a specified settling time of $\Delta$. The new method was successfully confirmed through DSP(Digital Signal Processor) system-based experiments. However, it was a little difficult to understand the control mechanism intutionally. The purpose of this paper is to provide more understanding about the quick torque control mechanism using the vector analysis.

  • 본 논문에서는 풍속이 가변하는 상황에서 풍력 발전 시스템의 동작을 모의 할 수 있는 풍력 터빈 시뮬레이터를 설계 구현하였다. 실제 풍속과 회전 속도를 실시간으로 입력받으며, 토크 계산에 필요한 블레이드의 효율을 주속비에 관한 함수로 처리하여 사용함으로써 복잡한 조작 없이 가변 풍속조건에서 블레이드에 의한 토크입력을 모의할 수 있게 하였다. 또한 풍력터빈 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 농형 유도발전기식 풍력발전시스템을 구성하여 계통에 연계하였을 경우 발생되는 무효전력을 보상하기 위해 펄스 다중화 보조브리지회로를 이용한 새로운 구조의 36-펄스 전압원 컨버터방식의 실시간 무효전력보상기(STATCOM)를 적용하였다. 그리고 동작특성을 분석하고 제어시스템의 성능해석을 위하여 시뮬레이션 프로그램인 EMTDC/PSCAD를 이용한 시뮬레이션을 실시하였으며, 축소모형 하드웨어 실험을 통해 실험을 통한 분석을 실시하였다.

Suppression of Stimulated Brillouin Scattering in Optical Fiber using Sampled-Fiber Brags Grating (샘플링 광섬유 Bragg 격자를 이용한 광섬유 내의 유도 Brillouin 산란 억제)

  • I have investigated a scheme for suppressing stimulated Brillouin scattering in optical fibers. The scheme makes use of a sampled Bragg grating fabricated within the fiber used for transmitting intense Q-switched pulses. The grating is designed such that the spectrum of the Stokes pulse generated through stimulated Brillouin scattering falls entirely within its stop band. I show numerically that the number of sampled fiber Bragg gratings in 1 m is applied directly to suppressing stimulated Brillouin scattering rather than the coupling coefficient. This prevents the build up of the backward-propagating Stokes wave and mitigates the deleterious effects of stimulated Brillouin scattering. The simulation shows that 15 ns pulses with 1 kW peak power can be transmitted though a 1 m-long fiber with little energy loss using this scheme.

  • Recently, commercial ships and other specialized vessels with electric propulsion system employ variable speed induction motor as its prime mover. The wide application of electrical motors also includes being the main drive system in most industrial machineries. However, during its start-up, shutdown, and brake switch operation, excessive torque variation are generated. As such, flexible coupling are installed in order to reduce the transmitted torque fluctuation to the driven side. In this paper, the pulse torque generated by an variable speed induction motor was analyzed theoretically and through measurement of torsional vibration. Induction motor with inverter on marine propulsion system and industrial compressor were used as experimental subjects. The study confirmed that pulse torque are generated regardless of motor speed and interpreted as a vibration source of the whole system. Results presented herein can be adopted as the basis in future amendment of inspection classifying body regulations.

  • In this paper. determination method of turn-off angle in the SRM drives is proposed to maintain the high torque at a any turn-on angle, which is realized by using selHuning control method, During the sampling time. a number of P pulses from encoder are checked by using one-chip microprocessor. and compared with pre-checked a number of pulses A After calculating difference between two data, the turn-off angle moves forward or backward direction by the self-tuning m method, As repeating such process, the optimal turn-off angle is determined and the maximum torque is maintained T Though experiments, it is observed that motor speed is almost maintained if turn-off angle is adjusted automatically by s selHuning method when turn-ηn angle is changed.
