Dynamic Modeling and Design of Controller based on Thrusters for Korean Lunar Module (달 착륙선의 동역학 모델링 및 추력기 기반 제어기 설계)

  • This paper deals with dynamic modeling and controller design of a future Korean lunar module planned to be launched 2020's in Korea. For dynamic modeling of the lunar module, we first assume the lunar module as a rigid body. And we derive equations of motion for the lunar module by considering allocation of main thrusters and reaction thrusters. With the equation of motion, we design the controller based on the quaternion. A Pulse Width Pulse Frequency modulator(PWPFM) is selected for generating on/off signal. Finally, we construct a 2-phase descent mode including initial guidance mode, terminal guidance mode. The MATLAB simulation is performed for evaluating the descent ability and final landing velocity. The dynamic modeling and descent simulation of the lunar module in this paper could be applied for developing the future work of the Korean lunar exploration program.

  • Micro-source units having power ratings in thousands of watts can provide power quality with higher reliability and efficiency than the conventional large scale units. This paper develops switching level model of micro-source and studies the characteristics of the micro-grid consisting of multiple micro-sources and interfaced with electric power system. The developed model adopts the space vector PWM to fully utilize the capacity of inverter. The interaction of the grid connected micro-sources and the characteristics of the control system parameters are investigated. Micro-sources and micro-grid are implemented using PSCAD/EMTDC. Simulation results show that the proposed model is efficient for studying micro-grid system.

  • A 150 lbf-thrust class micro turbojet engine has been developed. The engine could be applied to power plant for small aviation vehicle such as UAV, decoy and anti-radar missile and was designed with concepts that has small size, low-cost and high performance. A prototype was manufactured and performed the ground static test and high altitude test. This paper outlines the features and layout of 150 lbf turbojet engine and also describes the design characteristics and test results of the engine and components.

A Pulse With Modulation Circuit using CMOS OTA (CMOS OTA를 이용한 펄스폭 변조회로)

  • A PWM Circuit using CMOS OTA is proposed. It features that the oscillation frequency is independent of supply voltage and temperature, and is linearly controlled by the bias current of OTA. The H-SPICE simulation results are given and they show good performance of the proposed circuit. The layout results using 0.3${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS technology for IC implementation are also given.

  • ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) is a safety device for preventing wheel locking in a sudden braking. It consists of hydraulic modulator, ECU(Electronic Control Unit) and angular velocity sensors. Its control methods are classified into three types; deceleration control, slip ratio control and deceleration/acceleration control. In this paper, ABS mounted vehicle is mathematically modeled and the proposed model is verified by actual cars experiments, and the braking characteristics of the control methods with pulse width modulation are compared and analyzed through computer simulations.

  • Almost the on-off type solenoid valve is used to hydraulic system. It has a strong point that concerned about rapid response, electric and hydraulic characteristic at the same time. In this paper we produced the new type spool using the MR fluid different from the others. Also we controlled a cylinder position through PWM method. And using the AMESim software, We compared our new type spool valve with existed one from data of simulation and experiment.

  • This paper is concerned with effective operating method of pneumatic on-off valves for improving position control accuracy, valve life-time and position settling time using modified pulse width modulation with dead-zone (MPWMD). The pneumatic system using on-off valves has advantage of simple construction and low cost compared with a system with servo-valves. The performance of the proposed control method is investigated experimentally for the position control of a pneumatic cylinder using on-off valves. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm for valve operation can be used to obtain fast and accurate position control compared to the conventional PWMD algorithm. It is also shown that the use of the proposed MPWMD algorithm for the position control significantly reduces the number of valve switching and noise.

  • In general the surge pressure generated in hydraulic systems causes noise, vibration and odd effect to the system. To reduce the surge pressure, high frequency PWM control of 20KHz was attempted. To estimate the braking noise caused by surge, a vehicle equipped with on-board ABS hydraulic modulator has been experimented with respect to the various breaking condition. Thorough this experiments, it was found that breaking noise has been reduced using high frequency PWM control method compare with low frequency method. To evaluate high frequency control m practice, including verification of general functionality, EMI tests was experimented. Its was found that it is necessary to have the solution to electromagnetic interference(EMI) generated by switching elements.

  • This study deals with the application of high speed on-off valves to an electro-hydraulic servo indexing system incorporated electro-hydraulic servo valces. Comparing with the electro-hydraulic servo valve the high speed on-off valve has some merits. Which included low price robustness to the oil contamination and dircect control without D/A converter. The considered sys-tem of this study is controlled by pulse width modulation(PWM) of the control law which is pro-duced by a PID controller which is used broadly in industrial equipments. The dynamic character-istics corresponding to variations of system parameters such as inertia moment system gain and supply pressure are investigated by computer simulation and experiment. Consequently the availability of the application of high speed on-off valve to servo indexing system instead of electro-hydraulic servo valve is confirmed.

낮은 입력 전압을 가지는 DC/DC 전원 장치의 도통 손실 감소를 위한 비대칭 하프-브리지 공진형 컨버터

  • 본 논문에서는 낮은 입력 전압을 가지는 DC/DC 전원장치의 도통 손실 감소를 위한 비대칭 하프-브리지 공진형 컨버터를 제안한다. 제안된 컨버터를 액티브 클램프 포워드 (ACF) 컨버터와 하프-브리지(HB) LLC 공진형 컨버터의 스위치 통합 기법을 통해 생성되었다. ACF 컨버터를 LLC 공진형 컨버터 앞단에 위치시켜 HB LLC 공진형 컨버터에 증가된 전압을 인가함에 따라 변압기 턴비를 증가할 수 있고, 그에 따라 1차측 도통 손실을 감소시킬 수 있다. 이 때, 두 단에 적용된 스위치를 스위치 통합 기법을 통해 높은 전력 밀도 및 추가되는 도통 손실 감소를 통해 높은 효율을 동시에 이룰 수 있었다. 또한, 비대칭 펄스 폭 변조(APWM)를 제어를 통해 입력 전압 범위를 감소시켜 효율에 최적화된 설계를 가능하게 하였다. 제안된 컨버터는 36-72V 입력 전압, 300W(12V/25A) 출력을 가진 프로토 타입 컨버터를 통해 그 유효성을 입증하였다.
