신화(神話)를 Motif로 한 Hair Art 연구(硏究) (A Study of Hair Art by motifs Goddess)

  • Arts is the expression of reasoning and conscious life of human and arouse human the concept of existence, utmost emotion and excellent thoughts. Also it makes humans life very abundant. I make it come first to get rid of the art thirst on the opposite sight of technical one for hair as on part of humans body. Next purpose is that to confirm the esthetic value of 'hair arts' by solidify the academic ground of beauty arts through creating 'hair arts' works and learning and make the direction for the beauty industry and education of the next generation. In this study I investigated the Greek myth(the background and develop)and the hair styles of ancient Greek Goddesses. On the basis of that symbols I elaborated hair formative works made of metal and studied, analyzed and displayed that. Work No.1 'Aphrodite' is the sculpture showing the win of love which animated. I formed it very active and vigorous. Next 'Birth of Venus', No.2, involves fineness and freshness. 'Fear of Medusa', the third piece, displays the very second when medusa was executed as a beautiful and active scene not a scary one. And lastly in 'Lovely Medusa' Medusa finally find the stability and it was expressed her beautiful and shining hair. So this study conducted based on the concept of practical hair and have made efforts to be close to theoretical manufacturing research needed at making hair arts works and academic one needed at organic design composition for pioneering new field, 'art hair.' I hope these 'hair arts' works make creativity of the practise hair alive. It will be very thankful to me if this study can help even though slightly for splendid beauty arts to make its status firm as a one part of arts, and there are following studies.

동선(銅線)을 이용한 헤어 장식(裝飾) 디자인 연구(硏究) (A study on hair art design using the copper wire)

  • In the modern society that is advancing rapidly, the hair art is also advancing and subdividing. The purpose of this study is to investigate unique field of formative as characteristics and forms of copper wire, focused on such a harmony of hair art, the present thesis aims at developing concept of hair art as a creative way, and recognizing the formative characteristics of copper wire as analyze and arrange the concept of hair art, formative, a way of practical application, material aspect, through literature, academic journals, photo data, and researched about prior piece, for example, architecture and costume with hair art, and then pieces of hair art were made. Influenced by the theory, applied the social phenomenon and the formative principles, produced the five pieces which includes balance, composure, flying, harmony, way, spring etc. The results of this research are outlined below. Firstly, It showed that the copper wire can express the mysterious and beautiful formative world, and it could know the possibility of design. Secondly, formative activity using copper wire can differ according to approach and interpretation, and it can be a works with aesthetic value. Thirdly, hair could be express the art of the three-dimensional forms which constitute the mixture of line, surface and space. So, hair art has enlarged the fields with development of technique, and changed to recognition of the hair art, and opened up a new field. Hair art will be positive fields to maximize the possibility, and not only the beauty artist but also the public will be communicate each other.

20대 국내여성의 손톱 사이즈 측정을 통한 네일 팁 사이즈 제안 -직접측정법과 3D 스캐너측정법을 통한 사이즈 비교를 중심으로- (Proposal of Nail Tip Size by Measuring Nail Size of Korean Women in Their 20s -Focusing on Size Comparison Through Direct Measurement and 3D Scanner Measurement-)

  • After its introduction in Korea, nail art is becoming active, especially among women in their 20s and 30s who are interested in fashion and beauty. Although self-nail tips are available online in various designs for each brand that is currently on the market, these designs and sizes of self-nail tips on the market are different for each age group. Since the design or size is not suggested for the different situations, there are difficulties in purchasing products that match the shape and size of nails of consumers. In this study, frequency analysis was performed using 'SPSS statistics 21.0 for windows program' to analyze data obtained by direct measurement method and 3D scanner measurement method for Korean women in their 20s. For comparative analysis between direct and 3D scanner measurements, a corresponding sample, 'T-test', was performed. As a result, we proposed the standardization of nail tip size after comparative analysis between direct measurement and 3D scanner measurement. Previous studies have been proceeding with direct measurement method. However, this study introduced a 3D scanner measurement method in the nail field and attempted the standardization of nail size by age group of Korean women. Importantly, this sutdy suggests standardization of nail tip size among missing body sizes.

팬톤 올해의 컬러와 메이크업 기법을 적용시킨 아트메이크업 작품연구 (A Study on Art Makeup Works that Applied Pantone Color of the Year and Makeup Techniques)

  • This study aimed to analyze the relationship between makeup and Pantone color by reflecting the visual elements of modern people who react sensitively to trends, and to research and propose art makeup using various techniques based on the results. The scope of this study was the last 5 years for researching trend colors. The range of colors was from 2016 to 2020, and the research method was designed after examining makeup trends using Pantone colors from 2016 to 2020; the characteristics of color and trend makeup were analyzed to design art makeup using various techniques. With respect to research data, literature review was conducted on the makeup design using Pantone colors with trend makeups. By referring to data in Pantone's official website, the characteristics and meanings of each color were analyzed. Based on research data, illustrations were made and makeup was designed and suggested. According to the study results, one-color makeup created a stable and uniform mood as a whole and could highlight the characteristics of each color. On the other hand, the makeup design that mixed Pantone colors harmonized the complementary colors and created an original and beautiful makeup design. The researcher identified the relationship and characteristics of trend colors and makeup and suggested various techniques, and expects that by linking the effect of trend color with makeup, designs and visual effects that go beyond the limits of the makeup market will be suggested and expanded.

1960년대 팝 아트(Pop Art)의 사조와 패션 (A Relationship between Pop Art and Fashion in the 60's)

  • The objective of this Paper was to identify the relationship between the fine arts, pop art and fashion in relation to its qualities, motifs, and techniques of graffiti and collage. The data of this study were collected from fashion magazines such as French Vogue and American Vogue from 1962 through 1970 and Elle from 1980, post cards and reports of costume exhibition in Victoria & Albert museum in London, and newspaper accounts and magazine accounts. The qualities of pop art were characterized as 1) Popular (designed for mass audience), 2) transient (short term solution), 3) expendable (easily forgotten), 4) low cost, 5) mass produced, 6) young (aimed at youth), 7) witty, 8) sexy and erotic, ana 9) big business. Pop art was rooted in urban environment. According to analysis of the data for this paper, these special aspects of that environment reflected on fashion in the 60's. Mary Quant, Zandra Rhodes, Y.S.L., Rudi Gernreich, Paco Rabanne, Pierre Cardin, Andre Courreges in the 60's and Castelbajac and Sprouse in the 80's showed Pop art dresses, mods fashion inspired by pop artists such as Hamilton, Donaldson, Allen Jones, Jasper Jones, Andy Wahol, and Keith Haring. New erotism of fashion was Produced by Y.S.L.'s see-through blouse, Courreges'a hipster pants, and Gernreich's bikinis which revealed the navel and the breast. T-shirts and dresses ornamented with Pop idols' faces, Pop graffitic motifs, and slogans, as a resistant to society, were begun to popular.

20세기 후반 패션에 나타난 절충주의적 경향;Andy Warhol Look을 중심으로 (A Study on Eclectic Trend Expressed in the late 20th Century′s Fashion -with the main point of Andy Warhol′s Look-)

  • A study analyzes the eclectic trend shown in Andy Warhol look to explain the pluralistic aspect which is expressed in the late 20th century's fashion. Eclecticism is a trial to dismantle the barriers between pure art and popular art, high culture and low culture. This pursues harmonious accommodation and coexistence of all areas without being confined in the conventional lofty taste or high art. This thesis studies the characteristic aspects of the eclectic trend by classifying this trend into sell culture, mass media and fashion around the Andy Warhol look. The sexual eclectic trend in Warhol look is bisexual one shown in clubland and the world of modeling and supplies fashion with abundant expression and ambiguity. Warhol established cultural eclecticism by compounding high cultural factors and low cultural factors. broke up the boundary between street fashion and high fashion and escaped from the fixed idea on materials and design. Also he generalized and democratized specialty or nobility conventional paintings had possessed through introducing repetition and mediocrity and fully utilized every kind of mass media, Hollywood movie stars and daily necessaries in producing works. Andy Warhol who asserted‘Business Art’that was the mixed form of artistry and commercialism had creative and futuristic taste and proposed the direction to develop current fashion and art where the concept of economy is importantly brought into relief.

제너러티브 아트(Generative Art)의 시각적 속성이 반영된 패션디자인 분석 (Analysis of Fashion Design Reflected Visual Properties of the Generative Art)

  • Generative Art (also called as the art of the algorithm) creates unexpected results, moving autonomously according to rules or algorithms. The evolution of digital media in art, which tries to seek novelty, increases the possibility of new artistic fields; subsequently, this study establishes the basis for new design approaches by analyzing visual cases of Generative Art that have emerged since the 20th century and characteristics expressed on fashion. For the methodology, the study analyzes fashion designs that have emerged since 2000, based on theoretical research that includes literature and research papers relating to Generative Art. According to the study, expression characteristics shown in fashion, based on visual properties of Generative Art, are as follows. First, abstract randomness is expressed with unexpected coincidental forms using movements of a creator and properties of materials as variables in accordance to rules or algorithms. Second, endlessly repeated pattern imitation expresses an emergent shape by endless repetition created by a modular system using rules or 3D printing using a computer algorithm. Third, the systematic variability expresses constantly changing images with a combination of system and digital media by a wearing method. It is expected that design by algorithm becomes a significant method in producing other creative ideas and expressions in modern fashion.

  • 현재 우리가 살고 있는 세상은 획일적 통일화에서 감성적 다변화 시대로, 모더니즘에서 포스트모더니즘으로, 남성의 이성에서 여성의 감성으로 변화되고 있다. 이러한 시점에서 주얼리 디자인 분야도 당연 사회와 패션의 흐름에 맞춰 변화할 필요가 있다. 현 사회의 가장 큰 시장변화의 흐름을 파악하기 위해 감성디자인과 아트마케팅이란 시장변화에 주목했으며, 이를 통해 여성적 감성과 개인의 개성이 이 두 분야에 가장 큰 주축임을 확인하였다. 본 연구자 또한 여성이기에 나의 감성과 개성을 표현할 수 있는 2가지 테마의 명화를 선정하였으며, 이를 주얼리 디자인과 접목해 새로운 감성 주얼리 디자인을 연구해 보고자 한다.

아르떼 포베라(Arte Povera)가 현대패션에 미친 조형적 특징에 관한 연구 (A Study on the normativeness of Modern Fashion through Arte Povera)

  • This study was established to understand how Arte Povera has affected the contemporary fashion based on the analyses of its characteristics and may provide a prospective view to predict style of future fashions. The results were as follows : 1) “The poverty” shows such characteristics as patch work, intentional mismatch, and tendency to prefer slightly used style. This meaning can be explained as direct expression from a sense of alienation, against to consumer economy, and dual-expression between poverty and wealth. 2) “Anti-formativeness” can be described for misinterpretations of creation, arrangement, and informal silhouette due to distortion of the human body. This expression includes such meanings as against to traditionalism, ignorance of rationality, and disorganization of the concepts between the beauty and the ugly. 3) “Naturalism” indicates as characteristics of use of natural materials and primitive expression. This expression could be generated from adaptation to the nature and desire toward uncivilized society due to skepticism about modern society. 4) “Symbolism” shows such expressions as an isolated feeling from society, and metaphoric sense from specific situations because there are too many applications of imported materials. This tendency can be also explained with the creations of spaces for opened concepts through disorganizations of territory, obscurity, and irregularity.

노년기 남성의 하반신 체형 분석 및 하의류 치수 체계 연구 (Analysis of Lower-body and Development of Suit-pants Size System for the Elderly Males)

  • This study established a lower garment sizing system for elderly men over 65 years of age based on 535 males selected from the 5th Korean Anthropometric survey. The results are as follows. Most elderly men body measurements were smaller for adult males (except for the waist area); however, abdominal obesity has changed to body type. The standard deviation was applied around the average values of waist circumference and hip circumference for the suggestion of a lower garment sizing system for elderly men. The interval between the designation was ${\pm}2.5cm$ with an average waist circumference of 86 cm and ${\pm}2cm$ with an average hip circumference of 92 cm. A total of 13 designation sections were established in consideration of the cover ratio and cover efficiency. The cover ratio in the 13 nominal sections was 77.2%. The segmental distribution rate presented in the results will also be useful for production planning in specific sizes and enable rational production.
