A Study on the Image of Film Fashion in 1990 Focused on Relation of Fashion and Film Industry (영상산업과 패션산업 연계의 시각에서 본 1990년대 영화의상의 이미지 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is for affirmation about fashion and film industry has very important relationship through the image of film fashion in 1990. To this processing , films in 1990 were analyzed by the back ground, time place, persons's status are expressed in period movie but the person's characters, development of story mood in contemporary movies. The contents of this study are as follows : First, film fashion which was related mass fashion design and concept development and fashion designers as constume services were considered. Second, the change of star image through the 20th century. The roles and new image of film fashion in period movies and contemporary movies in 1990 were searched. Third, proposal and results were confirmed for expansion of fashion industry and film industry together. Finally, from the latter of 20th century, a lot of fashion designers have participated in film works than before, So the images of films were sued and reflected as new mass trend . Especially retro-romantic mood was expressed in fashion trend due to period movie fashion. Also minimal city look and elegance glamourous look are represented cause of contemporary movie fashion. Therefore, the cooperation between film productions and fashion professionals is very important for promotion of Korean culture development in 21st century, 'the century of image'.

  • 메이크업 문화의 경우 1950년대까지는 이상적이라고 설정된 여성미가 획일적으로 일반인들에게 모방되었다. 그러나 1960년대 이후부터는 미에 대한 기존의 가치개념에 변화가 이루어지면서 메이크업은 사회구성원에 따라 다양하게 등장하는 미의 표출 수단으로 새롭게 전개되었다. 또한 20세기의 패션 산업 향장 산업, 광고산업, 영화를 포함한 각종 영상산업, 문화산업, 예술산업 등의 발달을 통하여 메이크업의 역할이 중요한 자리매김 되어가고 있다. 이들에 대한 재해석을 통한 현대 예술의 상상력은 메이크업의 영역을 확대 시켰다. 한국적 전통에 바탕을 둔 메이크업 역시 새로운 해석과 예술적 기술을 접목 시켜 현대의 미를 창조 함으로써 한국적인 에스닉 스타일을 개발는데 의의 있는 일이다.

Textile image retrieval integrating contents, emotion and metadata (내용, 감성, 메타데이터의 결합을 이용한 텍스타일 영상 검색)

  • This paper proposes an image retrieval system which integrates metadata, contents, and emotions in textile images. First, the proposed system searches images using metadata. Among searched images, the system retrieves similar images based on color histogram, color sketch, and emotion histogram. To extract emotion features, this paper uses emotion colors which was proposed on 160 emotion words by H. Nagumo. To enhance the user's convenience, the proposed textile image retrieval system provides additional functions as like enlarging an image, viewing color histogram, viewing color sketch, and viewing repeated patterns.

  • 본 논문에서는 텍스타일 영상의 내용 데이터와 메타데이터를 결합시킨 영상 검색 시스템을 제안한다. 섬유 패션의 정보를 가지고 있는 메타데이터와의 결합은 그 동안의 섬유 패션 산업과 관련된 영상 검색 시스템에서 진보된 것이다. 우선 메타데이터의 정보를 통해서 영상을 검색하게 된다. 검색된 영상 안에서 색상히스토그램과 색상스케치를 통하여 주어진 영상과 비슷한 영상들을 검색하게 된다. 이러한 방법은 영상내용만을 통해 검색했던 것 뿐만아니라 텍스트가 가지고 있는 의미를 보안하여 보다 효과적인 검색을 할 수 있었다. 본 논문에서 제안된 시스템에서 부가적인 기능인 돋보기 기능, 색상 히스토그램 기능, 색상 스케치 기능, 반복 패턴 보기 기능을 통해 검색된 영상들의 정보를 효과적으로 제공함으로써 사용자의 편의를 강화하였다.

Using Videos as a Teaching Tool in Sewing (동영상을 활용한 봉제 교육 연구)

  • This study investigated the effective pedagogical strategies for sewing by examining the efficacy of sewing videos as supplemental learning materials and demonstration tools. Sewing videos were created for face-to-face apparel construction courses, and students' opinions on sewing videos as an educational tool were collected. Videos with subtitles were offered to Apparel Construction Course 1, whereas videos with narration and subtitles were offered to Apparel Construction Course 2. As "supplemental learning materials," students rated videos as more effective for learning and satisfying than "documents with text and images." The effectiveness and satisfaction scores for Apparel Construction Course 2 were significantly higher than those for Apparel Construction Course 1. Furthermore, videos were utilized significantly more than documents, and most students preferred videos over documents. The main benefits of videos as supplemental learning materials were repetitive learning at the learner's convenience and the detailed presentation of the sewing process. Students regarded narration as more effective and satisfying than subtitles. Narrations were expected to be offered along with subtitles. As "demonstration tools," students rated videos as more effective for learning and satisfying than traditional "sewing samples." Students preferred "demonstration with videos" to "demonstration with sewing samples." The main benefits of video demonstration were a close-up view, presentation of the entire sewing process, and shorter wait time without the need for group teaching. Students wanted more sewing videos and narrations to be offered, and various sewing machine feet to be used in the videos. Educational methods for sewing were suggested based on student opinions.

  • With the advent of deep learning and the rapid development of ICT (Information and Communication Technology), research using artificial intelligence is being actively conducted in various fields of society such as politics, economy, and culture and so on. Deep learning-based artificial intelligence technology is subdivided into various domains such as natural language processing, image processing, speech processing, and recommendation system. In particular, as the industry is advanced, the need for a recommendation system that analyzes market trends and individual characteristics and recommends them to consumers is increasingly required. In line with these technological developments, this paper extracts and classifies attribute information from structured or unstructured text and image big data through deep learning-based technology development of 'language processing intelligence' and 'image processing intelligence', and We propose an artificial intelligence-based 'customized fashion advisor' service integration system that analyzes trends and new materials, discovers 'market-consumer' insights through consumer taste analysis, and can recommend style, virtual fitting, and design support.

  • 최근, 뷰티 산업 활성화와 더불어 소셜 미디어 확산으로 인해 아름다워지고자 하는 인간의 욕구가 과거보다 증대되어, 자신에게 어울리는 메이크업과 패션을 찾고자 하는 경향이 강해지고 있다. 이에 따라 자신을 돋보이게 하는 퍼스널 컬러가 주목받으면서 전문가에게 자신의 퍼스널 컬러를 진단받는 사람이 늘어나고 있다. 하지만 이러한 진단은 전문가의 주관적인 판단으로 결정되므로 정확한 진단을 받기 어려우며 진단에 따른 시간적, 비용적 소모가 발생하는 문제점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해, 온라인상에서 영상처리를 통해 효과적인 퍼스널 컬러 분석과 메이크업 추천이 가능한 시스템을 제안한다. 다양한 영상처리 방법을 통하여 사용자의 신체 영역을 추출하고, 색상 데이터 값을 이용하여 퍼스널 컬러를 분석하였으며 그에 따라 적절한 메이크업 콘텐츠를 추천하는 기법을 제안하였다. 마지막으로, 다양한 사용자로부터 만족도 실험을 통해 제안한 기법이 효과적임을 나타내었다.

  • This paper aims to derive the specificity of film music of Baz Luhrmann, a Hollywood film director, focusing on his representative works such as Dancing Heroes, Romeo and Juliet, and Moulin Rouge. Frist, Dancing Heroes captures various dance music genres through dynamic shooting techniques and shows trendy sensibility by using the main theme song 'Time after Time,' sung by the main character, Tina. Second, Romeo and Juliet, the original work of Shakespeare, keeps thier lines and stories while decorating gorgeous fashion and rock music in jukebox style. Also, it is harmonized with the most modern and trendy MTV-style video. Third, Moulin Rouge presents film music through the 'mix and match' method, which consists of jukebox-type trendy songs containing classical back stage musical and Bollywood musical images. In conclusion, the style of Baz Luhrmann has been reborn as a unique way of directing Buz Luhrmann's film music that it is expressed by connecting various juke box style music with amazing visual effect. Through director's style, it is possible to suggest the direction of various film music to the industries.

An Implementation of Metaverse Virtual Fitting Technology using a Posture extraction based on Deep Learning. (딥러닝 기반 자세 추출을 통한 메타버스 가상 피팅 기술 구현)

  • 본 논문에서는 메타버스 공간에서 패션 아이템 판매에 있어서 필수적이라 할 수 있는 온라인 가상 피팅 기술을 동작 인식 전용 디바이스가 아닌 일반 스마트폰 카메라를 활용하여 구현하는 기술을 제안한다. 가상 피팅 기술을 구현하기 위해서는 딥러닝 기법을 활용하여 입력 영상을 분석하고, 분석 결과를 토대로 인체의 전체 자세를 추정하며, 인체 사이즈의 근사값을 추출하는 과정들이 수행되어야 하는데, 현재의 스마트폰 컴퓨팅 환경은 이를 수행하기에 충분한 연산 성능을 가지지 못한다는 문제점을 가진다. 본 논문에서는 높은 비용이 요구되는 고부하 연산을 클라우드 서버를 통해 수행하는 서버 기반 프레임워크를 도입하여, 낮은 성능의 스마트폰으로도 고성능 연산이 가능한 서비스 구조를 확보하고 이를 통해 휴대성 높은 증강현실 기반의 가상 피팅 기술을 구현한다. 본 논문의 성과를 통해 메타버스 상거래의 활성화와 메타버스 본연의 의미에 충실한 가상 월드 구축에 기여할 것이라 기대한다.

Fashion-show Animation Generation using a Single Image to 3D Human Reconstruction Technique (이미지에서 3차원 인물복원 기법을 사용한 패션쇼 애니메이션 생성기법)

  • In this paper, we introduce the technology to convert a single human image into a fashion show animation video clip. The technology can help the customers confirm the dynamic fitting result when combined with the virtual try on technique as well as the interesting experience to a normal person of being a fashion model. We developed an extended technique of full human 2D to 3D inverse modeling based on SMPLify human body inverse modeling technique, and a rigged model animation method. The 3D shape deformation of the full human from the body model was performed by 2 part deformation in the image domain and reconstruction using the estimated depth information. The quality of resultant animation videos are made to be publically available for evaluation. We consider it is a promising approach for commercial application when supplemented with the post - processing technology such as image segmentation technique, mapping technique and restoration technique of obscured area.
