Development and validation of a nutrition literacy assessment tool for young adults (젊은 성인의 영양정보이해력 평가도구 개발 및 타당성 검증)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to develop, validate, and assess the reliability of a questionnaire for nutritional literacy among young Korean adults. Methods: The draft questionnaire contained 65 items in 7 domains (i.e., dietary guideline, nutrition and health, nutrients, 5 food groups [food bicycle], nutrition labeling, portion size, and nutrition management for disease prevention). The authors developed a draft questionnaire based on a literature review. After multiple drafts, 52 items were retained and 13 were eliminated in the 7 domains according to professional advice from 5 nutrition experts. A panel of experts (n = 20) comprised of clinical dietitians and nutrition professors completed the content validity assessment, including quantitative and qualitative feedback. As the results, all items of the portion size were eliminated from the questionnaire. A sample of 211 young adults completed the test-retest reliability assessment. Test-retest reliability was evaluated using intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC) and inter-item reliability by Cronbach α coefficient. Results: The final questionnaire contained 30 items with 5 questions each on the dietary guideline, nutrition and health, nutrients, 5 food groups (food bicycle), nutrition labeling, and nutrition management for disease prevention. The Lawshe content validity ratio for domains ranged from 0.60 to 1.00. The ICC scores for questions ranged from 0.64 to 0.86. Cronbach's α for domains ranged from 0.83 to 0.90 and for the overall questionnaire was 0.87. Conclusion: The questionnaire showed strong content validity, test-retest reliability, and high inter-item reliability, indicating that it is a useful tool for assessing nutritional literacy of young adults.

Evaluation of Mechanical Properties and Low-Velocity Impact Characteristics of Balsa-Wood and Urethane-Foam Applied to Impact Limiter of Nuclear Spent Fuel Shipping Cask (사용후핵연료 수송용기 충격완충체에 적용되는 발사목과 우레탄 폼의 기계적 특성 및 저속충격특성 평가 연구)

  • This paper aims to evaluate the low-velocity impact responses and mechanical properties of balsa-wood and urethane-foam core materials and their sandwich panels, which are applied as the impact limiter of a nuclear spent fuel shipping cask. For the urethane-foam core, which is isotropic, tensile, compressive, and shear mechanical tests were conducted. For the balsa-wood core, which is orthotropic and shows different material properties in different orthogonal directions, nine mechanical properties were determined. The impact test specimens for the core material and their sandwich panel were subjected to low-velocity impact loads using an instrumented testing machine at impact energy levels of 1, 3, and 5 J. The experimental results showed that both the urethane-foam and the balsa-wood core except in the growth direction (z-direction) had a similar impact response for the energy absorbing capacity, contact force, and indentation. Furthermore, it was found that the urethane-foam core was suitable as an impact limiter material owing to its resistance to fire and low cost, and the balsa-wood core could also be strongly considered as an impact limiter material for a lightweight nuclear spent fuel shipping cask.

Optimal Design Method of 1-Port Surge Protective Device Based on Zinc Oxide Varistor (선화아연바리스터 기반의 1-포트 서지보호장치의 최적 설계 기법)

  • This paper reports a Surge Protective Device (SPD) that is used to protect an automatic metering interface (AMI) power supplies of communication equipment on a low-voltage distribution system from a lightning current. The surge protective device (SPD) can be classified as one-port SPDs and two-port SPDs with decoupling elements depending on the connection type. The protection of internal systems against the lightning current may require a systematic approach consisting of coordinated SPDs. To deal with this, the definition of a lightning protection zone (LPZ) was studied and interpreted through a theoretical review. Because the lightning current resulting from a lightning surge is considerably high, there is limited protection from one SPD; therefore, coordinated cascaded MOV-based SPDs are installed to solve this problem. Regarding the power grid mentioned in this paper, a class II SPD for the low-voltage distribution system installed on the border of LPZ1 and LPZ2, which establish a protection coordination with the Arrester (LA, SA) that corresponds to the LPZO installed on the MOF stage connected to one system were designed to protect various communication (control) equipment, including the automatic meter reading system inside the branch-type electric supply panel of a building, not the incoming side of one system. In addition, performance-related tests were done by a comparison with the existing method through testing, and the optimal design was achieved for the 1-port SPD that uses a series connection and can bleed load current without any decoupling element.

The Relationship between Maternal Post-natal Depression and Children's Communication Competence (어머니의 산후 우울감과 만 2세 영아의 의사소통능력 간의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of maternal post-natal depression on children's communication competence, maternal self-efficacy and parenting style. The data on 1,438 pairs of children and their mothers were provided by The Korean Children Panel Study (KCPS). Mothers were assessed by K6(Kessler et al., 2002), The Pearlin Self Efficacy Scale(Pearlin et al., 1981), and The Parental Style Questionnaire(Bornstein, et al., 1996). Children's communication competence was assessed by K-ASQ. The collected data were analyzed with t-test and path analysis. The major results of this study were as follows : (1) Post-natal maternal depression was not directly associated with the children's communication competence. (2) Post-natal maternal depression indirectly influenced the children's communication competence via maternal self-efficacy and the parenting style. The results of this study suggest that post-natal depression within 1 year will not have an effect on the children's communication competence directly, but will indirectly influence it through maternal self-efficacy and the parenting style when the children are 2 years old.

Numerical Study on Vertical Stress Estimation for Panel Pillars at Room and Pillar Mines (주방식 광산의 패널 광주 수직응력 추정을 위한 수치해석 연구)

  • This paper examines the vertical stress change concentrated on mine pillar which occurs due to the stress disturbance from opening excavation at room and pillar mine by FLAC3D, a finite difference method (FDM) software. The mesh size combination is decided with a careful consideration of relative error and run-time, then its performance is verified. A series of numerical analyses is conducted and the vertical stress at central pillar was observed for the test cases of 1×1 to 11×11 mine pillars, 40 m to 320 m depth with 40 m difference. The results show that the vertical stress of pillar approaches to the similar value with the value estimated by tributary area theory(TAT) when the development area (NP) is increased or the height of overburden (HOB) is decreased, while it is overestimated in the opposite case. Furthermore, it also represents that the vertical stress factor (VSF) converges to a specific value when the depth is increased whille keeping the development area identical.

High crystallization of ultra-thin indium tin oxide films prepared by reactive sputtering with post-annealing (반응성 스퍼터링으로 제조한 ITO 초박막의 후 열처리에 따른 고 결정화)

  • 최근 디스플레이 기술은 보다 가볍고, 얇고, 선명한 스마트 형태로 발전되고 있다. 특히 스마트산업의 성장으로 터치스크린패널(Touch Screen Panel, TSP)을 사용하는 기술이 다양해짐에 따라 더 높은 감도와 해상도를 달성하기 위한 핵심기술이 필요한 실정이다. TSP는 저항막 방식, 정전용량 방식, 적외선 방식, 초음파 방식 등 다양한 방식이 있다. 그 중 정전용량방식 터치 패널 (Capacitive type touch panel, CTTP)은 다른 유형에 비해 빠른 반응속도 및 멀티 터치 기능 등의 이점을 가지고 있기 때문에 연구의 초점이 되고 있다. 이를 실현하기 위해서 CTTP은 가시광영역의 높은 투과율과 낮은 비저항을 필요로 하기 때문에 박막의 초 슬림화 및 고 결정화도가 선행되어야만 한다. CTTP에 사용되는 투명전극 소재 중에서 40%의 비중을 차지하고 있는 ITO박막은 내구성과 시인성이 좋으나 생산 비용이 비싸다는 단점이 있다. 한편, 반응성 스퍼터링은 기존에 단일 소결체를 사용한 DC마그네트론 스퍼터링법보다 높은 증착률과 낮은 생산 비용으로 초박막을 만들 수 있다는 장점을 가진다. 본 실험에서는 In/Sn (2wt%) 금속 합금 타깃을 사용한 반응성 스퍼터링법을 이용하여 기판 온도 (RT 및 $140^{\circ}C$)에서 두께 30 nm의 In-Sn-O (ITO)박막을 증착하고, 대기 중 $140^{\circ}C$ 온도에서 시간에 따라 열처리한 후 박막의 물성을 관찰하였다. 증착 중 기판 가열을 하지 않은 ITO 박막의 경우, 열처리 시간이 증가함에 따라 비저항은 감소하였고, 홀 이동도는 현저하게 증가하였으며 캐리어 밀도에서는 별다른 차이가 없었다. 이를 통해 비저항의 감소는 캐리어 농도보다는 결정화를 통한 이동도의 증가와 관련 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 열처리 시간에 따른 박막의 핵 생성 및 결정 성장은 투과 전자 현미경(TEM)으로 명확하게 확인하였으며, 완전 결정화 된 박막의 grain size는 300~500 nm로 확인되었다. 기판온도 $140^{\circ}C$에서 증착한 박막의 경우, 후 열처리를 하지 않은 상태에서도 이미 결정화 된 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 후 열처리 시에도 grain size에는 큰 변화가 없었다. 이는 증착 중에 박막의 결정화가 이미 완결된 것으로 판단된다. 또한, RT에서 증착한 박막의 경우에는 후 열처리 초기에는 산소공공등과 같은 결함들의 농도가 감소하여 투과율이 증가하였으나 완전한 결정화가 일어난 후에는 투과율이 약간 감소한 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이는 결정화 시 박막의 표면 조도가 증가하였고 이로 인해 빛의 산란이 증가하여 투과율이 감소한 것으로 판단된다. 이러한 결과로 반응성 스퍼터링 공정으로 제조한 ITO 초박막은 후열처리에 의한 완전한 결정화를 이룰 수 있으며, 이를 통해 얻은 낮은 비저항과 높은 투과율은 고품질 TSP에 적용될 가능성을 가진다고 판단된다.

A High Efficiency Power Conversion Circuit with Wide ZVS Range for Large Screen PDP Sustaining Power Module (넓은 영전압 스위칭 범위를 갖는 대화면 PDP용 유지전원단을 위한 고효율 전력 변환회로)

  • Recently, due to the launch of digital broadcasting service, the demand of Flat Panel Display (FPD) is sharply rising. Among them, the PDP is expected to be one of the most promising digital displays of next generation because of its large screen size, high resolution, thinness and board field of view. Meanwhile, the PDP uses ADS (Address Display-period Separation) scheme which divide one subfield into address and sustaining period to express the grey scale of images. Since the output of sustaining power module Is mostly used for sustaining period, the load of the sustaining power module can be considered as a pulsating load. Due to this particular load condition, if the wide ZVS range of the power switches is not guaranteed, the hard switching causes large amount of switching loss and serious thermal problem in power module. In this paper, a high efficiency power conversion circuit for 60' PDP sustaining power module which achieves wide ZVS range with the help of additional ZVS tank is proposed. According to the various gating methods, the different operations of the proposed converter are presented. And, to confirm the properties of the proposed converter, an experimental prototype of 900W power converter is constructed md tested. As a result, more than $92\%$ of high efficiency is obtained at $10\%$ load condition, and the ZVS operation is achieved from full load to $10\%$ load condition.

$SrSnO3:RE^{3+}$(RE=Eu, Tb) 형광체 분말의 제조와 발광 특성

  • 최근에 희토류 이온이 도핑된 형광체를 램프, 플라즈마, 디스플레이 패널, 음극선관, 광전 소자에 응용하기 위한 연구에 많은 노력이 경주되고 있다. 특히 희토류 이온은 4f-껍질에 존재하는 전자의 독특한 성질 때문에 좁은 밴드폭과 강한 발광 특성을 나타내므로 발광 다이오드, 자석, 촉매, 디스플레이 패널용 형광체로 개발되고 있다, 본 연구에서는 고효율의 녹색과 적색 형광체를 개발하기 위하여 모체 결정은 SrSnO3, 활성제 이온은 Eu (유로퓸) 와 Tb (테르븀)을 선택하여 도핑하였다. 합성된 형광체 분말의 회절상을 XRD로 측정한 결과에 의하면, Eu3+와 Tb3+의 함량비에 관계없이 모든 세라믹 분말은 JCPDS #74-1298에 제시된 회절상과 일치하였으며, 주 피크는 $31.3^{\circ}$, $44.9^{\circ}$, $55.8^{\circ}$에서 최대값을 갖는 (110), (200), (211)면에서 발생한 회절 신호이며, 이밖에도 $22.04^{\circ}$, $65.4^{\circ}$, $74.3^{\circ}$에서 약한 회절 피크를 갖는 (100), (220), (013)면의 신호들이 관측되었다. Eu3+ 이온의 함량비가 0.05 mol 인 경우에 (110)과 (211) 피크의 세기가 최대값을 나타내었고, Eu3+의 함량비가 증가함에 따라 두 피크의 세기는 점점 감소하였다. XRD의 데이터를 Scherrer의 식에 대입하여 계산한 결정 입자의 크기는 Eu3+ 이온이 도핑된 경우에는 0 mol에서 최소의 크기를 나타내었고, Tb3+ 이온이 도핑된 경우에 입자의 크기는 0.05 mol에서 최소이었고 0 mol에서 최대값을 보였다. SEM으로 촬영한 표면 형상의 변화를 관측한 결과, Eu3+의 함량비가 0.15 mol인 경우에, 결정 입자의 평균 크기는 400~450nm이며, Tb3+의 함량비가 0.05 mol인 경우에, 결정 입자의 평균 크기는 270~290nm 이었으며, 입자의 형상은 균일하게 분포하는 구형 형태을 보였다. Eu3+와 Tb3+ 이온의 함량비가 점점 증가함에 따라 미립자들이 서로 뭉쳐져서 각각 약 720 nm와 580 nm의 크기를 갖는 큰 입자를 형성하였고, 불규칙적인 분포를 나타내었다. 여기 파장 293 nm에서 Tb3+가 도핑된 SrSnO3:Tb3+ 형광체 분말의 발광 스펙트럼을 측정한 결과에 의하면, Tb3+의 함량비에 관계없이 모든 시료는 주 피크인 550 nm (녹색)와 상대적으로 세기가 약한 500, 590, 630 nm에서 발광 스펙트럼을 나타내었다. 주 피크의 발광 세기는 0.01 mol~0.15 mol에서는 증가 하였고, 더욱 함량비를 증가함에 따라 급격하게 감소하였다. 이 현상은 활성제 이온의 mol 비가 증가함에 따라 이온 사이의 거리가 가까워져서 서로 뭉치는 현상이 주도적으로 작용하여 발광의 세기가 현저히 감소하는 것으로 판단된다. 0.10 mol 일 때 세기가 가장 강한 녹색 형광 신호를 얻었다. 여기 파장 400nm에서 Eu3+가 도핑된 SrSnO3:Eu3+ 형광체 분말의 형광 스펙트럼은 Eu3+의 함량비에 관계없이 590, 619, 696 nm에서 관측되었다. Eu3+의 몰 비가 0.01~0.05 mol 영역에서 619 nm가 주 피크이나, 몰 비가 더욱 증가함에 다라 주 피크의 파장은 590 nm로 이동하였다. 한편, 696 nm의 발광세기는 몰 비가 증가함에 따라 더욱 증가하였다.

Developing Social Play Evaluation Items for Preschool Children: A Delphi Study (학령전기 아동의 사회적 놀이 평가 문항 개발: 델파이 연구)

  • Objective : This study aimed to develop evaluation items based on Parten's social play developmental stages to measure social play in preschool children. Methods : Through a literature review, the investigation items according to Parten's social play developmental stages were collected. Two Delphi surveys were conducted using 22 expert panels. An understanding of the contents of the preliminary items was determined via parents of preschool children. The evaluation method was established through an expert advisory meeting. Results : Through data collection and the Delphi survey, a total of 89 items were drawn, including 12 unoccupied behaviors, 7 onlooker behaviors, 14 solitary play, 16 parallel play, 17 associative play, and 23 cooperative play items. The average content validity ratio of the Delphi survey was 0.85. The stability was 0.15. The consensus was 0.78. The final preliminary evaluation items comprised a total of 40 items, including 17 for associative play and 23 for cooperative play. Conclusion : An evaluation items that can measure social play in preschool children was developed, and its content validity was verified. It is expected to be used as an evaluation tool in clinical practice.

Effects of family relationship satisfaction on depression in older adults: The mediating effect of self-esteem (노인의 가족관계 만족도가 우울감에 미치는 영향: 자아존중감의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of self-esteem on the effect of family relationship satisfaction on depression among the elderly and to draw implications for the social welfare field. For this study, raw data from the 16th Korean Welfare Panel Survey were used for analysis, and a sample of 4,310 elderly people aged 65 years or older was selected as respondents. The collected data were subjected to frequency analysis and correlation analysis using IBM SPSS 24.0, and the Process Macro of SPSS proposed by Hayes (2018) was used to examine the mediating effect. The results of the significance test of family relationship satisfaction on depression showed that family relationship satisfaction was significant, i.e., the higher the level of family relationship satisfaction, the lower the depression. In addition, the results of the significance test of the effects of family relationship satisfaction and self-esteem on depression showed that family relationship satisfaction had a significant effect, and the mediating variable, self-esteem, had a significant effect on depression. Therefore, this study aims to identify the characteristics of family relationship satisfaction among the elderly and provide policy suggestions and social work practice directions to reduce the level of depression among the elderly.
