This study aims to contribute to social work practice in understanding marriage and divorce as transitions and in helping women make meaningful decisions on whether to stay or leave the marriage by examining the factors that impact women's divorce decision making over time. This is a longitudinal study that used survival analysis by Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women and Families' panel data. Finally, cox regression analysis was used to evaluate the impact of each factor on divorce decision making, and accordingly, all regression models were appropriate for analysis.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of reading on self-efficacy and multicultural acceptance. The Korean Education and Employment Pannel II data were used for the analysis. Through analyzing the data with latent growth model, the growth trajectories for reading, self-efficacy, and multicultural acceptance were identified, and the relationship between three variances were analyzed using multi-variate latent growth model. As results, reading books, self-efficacy, and multicultural acceptance were decreased, as times go by. Next, the intercept of reading was postively related with self-efficacy and multicultural acceptance. Finally, self-efficacy mediated between the intercept of reading and the multicultural acceptance, and it's statistically significant.

Most previous works to study for the depression of the disabilities in Korea have analyzed the repeated measured data of each individual under the mutually independent assumption. In this study, Korea Welfare Panel data of the disabilities surveyed additionally every three years are analyzed to detect the significant exploratory variables by the linear mixed models. A suitable correlation matrix is considered for the dependency of repeated measurement of each individual. The random effect to reflect the characteristics of the individuals as well as the fixed effect is included in the fitted linear mixed model. By the residual plot of the fixed effect model, the problem that the averages of residuals of each individual do not seem to be around zero is described. Further, the residual plot and the Q-Q plot coming from the selected final model are shown that the problem is modified well.
This study aimed at developing a model for estimating fertility rates for Korea under some conditions. The model is expected to provide the basic information for establishing and evaluating the polices in prompt and adequate response to low fertility and population ageing. The model was established on the basis of experiences by some OECD countries in Europe, having experienced the fertility increase trend and being economically well-developed, because Korea has never experienced the steady increase in fertility rate since 1960. This study collected about 20 years' time series data for each of selected countries and applied to the regression model, which is called a 'panel analysis' to take into considerations both cross-sectional and longitudinal aspects of fertility change simultaneously. Simulation of the model for Korea and some panel countries showed a very small difference, less than 0.1, between the estimated rate and the observed rate for each year during 2006~2010. Thus, the model, as established in this study, is evaluated as accurate or well-fitted to a considerable extent.
This study suggests an integrated model composed of factors of industrial environments and technology capacity for corporate diversification decision based on industrial organization theory and resource based perspectives. We examine the proposed model using patents and financial data of 272 applicants for 6 years (2010~2015) in the smart factory ICT convergence technology (application and platform field) sectors. The result of analyzing the fixed effect panel model shows that technological competitiveness has a positive effect on corporate diversification. Also, the additional result of analyzing the two-stage least square fixed effect model indicates that the convergence patent ratio increases technological competitiveness. Based on the results, we provide implications for corporate diversification strategies and government R & D policies for commercialization of corporate convergence technology resources and competencies.
This theoretical model makes three contributions to the study on economic growth and environment. First, emissions are generated during final goods production and technology accumulation. Second, this paper assumes that pollution is directly increasing with increase in final goods output or in consumption. Third, we use reproducible factors associated with labor and capital input in production function and assume constant return to scale in reproducible factors. From growth rate condition we derived, increases in reproducible factors, increases in productivity of either the abatment or technology sector, and decrease in social discount rate would increase the sustainable growth rate. In empirical test, the environmental degradation did not effect the economic growth rate though other factors satisfied the growth rate condition equation. However, through the reinterpretation of this result, we found indirectly the fact of that an inverted U relationship between air pollution and economic growth rate would exist in 20 OECD countries using a panel data for the period of 1986~1995.
Using the dynamic panel model, this study investigates rent determinants for small and medium-sized office buildings in Korea's CBD and Gangnam areas, key business districts. The results reveal that rents for small and medium-sized office buildings in CBD and Gangnam areas are influenced by macroeconomic fluctuations and characteristics of buildings and locations, suggesting a market with both spatial consumer and investment goods attributes. There are several investment implications as follows. First, even if the location in the CBD area is advantageous, the practical limitations in renovating aging small and medium-sized office buildings must be taken into account when investing. Second, parking conditions are a key factor influencing rent prices in CBD areas, so evaluating the parking facilities and improvement potential of small and medium-sized office buildings is essential for investors. Finally, due to the high sensitivity of Gangnam's small and medium-sized office market to macroeconomic trends, it's vital to prioritize monetary policy shifts as a key factor in investment decisions.
The purpose of this study is to investigate what factors affect cyber-delinquency after examining the previous research focusing on the general strain theory and the delinquency opportunity theory in the existing studies. And as adolescents move from middle school to high school, this study is intended to analyze what factors affect cyber-delinquency from a longitudinal perspective using KCYPS(Korea Child and Youth Panel Survey) elementary 4th grade fourth and seventh data. The adolescence cyber-delinquency probability of occurrence were analyzed through the panel logit fixed-effect model using STATA. And then the cyber-delinquency frequency of adolescents were analyzed through the panel tobit random-effect model. As a result of analyzing the factors affecting cyber-delinquency frequency, Adult media commitment, computer use time, and cell phone dependency increased cyber-delinquency frequency. On the other hand, among the parenting attitudes, the attitude of supervising attentively and adolescents' age-increasing decreased cyber-delinquency frequency.
In order to meet the ever-increasing demand for international air travel, several plans are underway to open new airports and expand existing provincial airports. However, existing air demand forecasts have been based on the total air demand in Korea or the air demand among major cities. There is not much forecast of regional air demand considering local characteristics. In this study, the outbound air travel demand in the southeastern region of Korea was analyzed and the fixed-effects model using panel data was proposed as an optimal model that can reflect the inherent characteristics of metropolitan areas which are difficult to observe in reality. The results of model validation show that panel data analysis effectively addresses the spurious regression and unobserved heterogeneity that are difficult to handle in a model using only a few macroeconomic indicators with time series characteristics. Various statistical validation and conformance tests suggest that the fixed-effects model proposed in this study is superior to other econometric models in predicting demand for international demand in the southeastern region.
Using the Korea Labor and Income Panel Study(KLIPS), this study analyzes the effects of profit sharing on employer-provided training. The estimation results of the fixed effect model that controls for endogeneity show that the workers of profit-sharing firms have a 6.7%-6.8%p higher probability of receiving employer-provided training than the workers of firms without profit sharing. They also show that the workers of profit-sharing firms have a 3.3%p higher likelihood of having employer-provided OJT than their counterparts. The impacts of profit-sharing on employer-provided training appear consistently regardless of the estimation models and in the subsamples. These findings support the hypothesis that profit-sharing promotes employer-provided training.
