  • 교통혼잡의 묘사를 보다 구체적으로 하기 위한 Mesoscopic시뮬레이션 모형으로서 INTEGRATION을 소개한다. 모형의 기본구조가 설명되고, 특히 응용사례로서 경부고속도로 축을 중심으로 한 주거지역의 급속한 팽창으로 야기된 고속도로상의 교통대안을 평가하려는데 초점을 맞추고 있다. 교통대안은 혼잡을 완화시키는데 타당하고 기술적으로도 실현가능한 대안이 제시된다. 이러한 대안들은 거시 및 미시 모의실험모형을 통해 면밀히 분석 평가되며 또한 대안을 도출하고 평가하는 과정의 제시로서 교통량조사에 근거한 OD 도출, Subarea 네트워크 분석 및 통합된 네트워크 모의실험과 같은 새로운 기법들이 아울러 제시된다. 대안의 대부분은 네트워크 개선에 관련한 것이다. 반포 IC 진출입로 공사(Al), 위빙 제거를 기초로 한 서초 IC TSM(A2), 서초-양재 구간의 고속 저속 분리(A3), 헌릉 IC(A4)의 신설, 판교 JC 개선(A5), 백현 IC(A6)신설. 가장 자본 집약적인 대안은 A4, A6순이다. A1, A5, A6은 구간은 짧으나, 자본 집약적이며 어느 정도의 공사 기간이 소요된다. 가장 비용이 적게 소요되는 대안은 A2, A3이다. A2는 시행이 용이하나, A3의 경우 공사기간 중 교통분산 대책이 필요하다. A1, A6은 속도증가와 통행시간 절감의 측면에서 가장 비용대비 효율적인 것으로 분석되었다. 시뮬레이션의 한계 및 개선방안이 함께 검토되었다.

Field Application of Epoxy Asphalt Mixture for Steel Bridge Deck (에폭시 수지를 이용한 아스팔트 혼합물의 강상판 적용성 평가)

  • The paper presents the field applications and evaluation results of solid epoxy asphalt mixture for steel bridge deck. The material was developed in Japan. The material properties of epoxy asphalt mixture were evaluated through various literature review, and the mix design and mixture evaluation were conducted. According to the research results, the application of epoxy asphalt mixture for steel bridge deck was noticeable compare to the conventional ones. In addition, results from 3D finite element analysis showed that the performance of epoxy asphalt mixture for steel bridge deck was proved to be satisfied. As a result, a pilot test section was constructed using the epoxy asphalt mixture produced from conventional batch plant system. BPT test results showed that friction of the epoxy asphalt mixture was higher than the requirements compare to that of the conventional one.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the method on improving the frequency of use and satisfaction rate of the community facilities and to evaluate relation between improving the frequency of use and satisfaction rate of the community facilities and improving the sense of community in apartments. The research subjects of this study is the four public lease apartments which is built around same period with same design guide. The survey method is a questionnaire survey, a experimental study, focus group interview, an analysing drawing. The result of study is as follows. The first, the frequency of use and satisfaction rate have been effected by the operation management system as well as the physical circumstance. The second, The frequency of use and satisfaction rate of the community facilities have had positive correlation with sense of community. The third, multimedia room and conference room with low usability need to change a multipurpose space such as cafe, classroom for learning on artistic topic with high demand from occupant. Finally, a mindset shift is required for architects to inspire community facilities as an important mediated space improving the sense of community by suggesting spaces for leisure and hobby activities.

Stress Analysis in Waterproof Layer on Steel Bridge Deck Pavement Using Finite Element Analysis (유한요소해석을 이용한 교면포장의 방수층에서의 응력해석)

  • The behavior of pavement and waterproofing layer on the steel bridge deck system under traffic loading was analyzed using a finite element method in this paper. In the finite element analysis, the othotropic steel bridge deck is represented by equivalent plate using solid element instead of shell element and the interface is assumed perfect bonding state. The effects of several parameters such as thickness of deck, Young's modulus of deck, thickness of pavement, different braking loading, and temperature on the stresses and strain in the interface are investigated for bridge deck pavement. The shear stress of waterproof layer increases with decrease of bridge deck thickness and stiffness. The change of shear stress is negligible when the bridge deck thictaess is greater than 150mm and stiffness is greater than $2{\times}10^{5}MPa$. As the pavement thickness and temperature decrease, the shear stress in the waterproof layer tends to be increased. The tensile strain at the bottom asphalt layer decreases as the temperature and thickness increase.

  • Various fatigue damages have been reported in orthotropic steel deck structures put upon girders. These damages are caused by complex behaviors of the deck, which is directly subjected to vehicle loads. To estimate the causes of fatigue cracks at the welded connected parts of the trough rib and the flor beam, and the trough rib and the deck plate, in orthotropic steel deck structures, FE analyses were first, performed in this study. Parameter studies were carried out to suggest effective structural details that consider fatigue, in which the main parameters are the thickness of the deck plate, the shape of the connection of the trough rib and the flor beam such as the slit form, and the welding length. This study suggests that the effective structural details improved the fatigue strength and discusses.

Approach to the Location of Wildlife Corridors on Highways - Between Yang-jae and Pan-gyo ICs of Seoul-Busan Highway, Korea - (고속도로 생태통로 위치 선정 방법에 관한 연구 - 경부 고속도로 양재-판교 구간을 중심으로 -)

  • Ecosystem fragmentation by human intervention breaks down the biosphere habitat. Wildlife corridors connect biosphere habitats to maintain ecosystem continuity and provide animals with connecting routes. In Korea, there are 17 existing wildlife corridors on highways (as of December, 2006. Korea Freeway Corporation). There are 24 highway routes, 2,923km of highway(as of December, 2004. Korea Freeway Corporation). However, wildlife corridors are not enough and roadkill increases every year, so we need to construct additional wildlife corridors on highways. This study proposes a new approach to the location of wildlife corridors on highways, using a comprehensive analysis method for main location elements, and applies it to a study area. First, it examines traditional approaches to location of wildlife corridors through literature review and field study to analyze the present conditions of existing wildlife corridors. Then, it developes a comprehensive analysis method for the location of wildlife corridors. (1) Field investigation : investigate planting, water bodies and so on. (2) Roadkill analysis : roadkill counts, locations, time, and so on. (3) Monitoring : animal traces were surveyed and sensor cameras were installed to determine target species. (4) Simulation for animal movement : most probable wildlife dispersal was simulated by a computer software. (5) A new comprehensive approach overlays all analysis on a map and determines the location of proposed new wildlife corridors. In conclusion, it proposes an over-bridge type wildlife corridor in Dalnaenae Hill (413-414km from Busan) and an underpass type near the entrance to Gwanhyun temple way (415-416km from Busan). This new approach based on roadkill data, computer simulation of wildlife dispersal, monitoring of animals, and site analysis, may contribute to better location of wildlife corridors on highways.

Current trend of Korean apartment shown in PanGyo new city (판교신도시의 브랜드 아파트 모델하우스를 통해 본 최근 아파트 계획 경향에 관한 연구)

  • Currently, brand apartment is positioning itself as one of the representative Korean housing. This allows to look into the planning side and cultural side of the Korean housing. The purpose of this study is to review the previous trend in apartment housing according to period, and to verify the trend of current Korean apartment housing by visiting the model houses in PanGyo, the new city. This study has chosen case study method of 11 cases which had been sorted out in different floor plan type and size. The findings of the study is as followed. In the aspect of spatial arrangement, it had been similar to the previous apartment plan but had a new attempt to break out from the old apartment structure by bring in round shaped living room. Also, due to the legalization of balcony expansion, various tries had been made to increase the level of function and to allow variety of usage. In the environmental aspect, the concept of wellbeing and health had been a great importance in apartment planning. In the digital aspect, various digital systems had been introduce for convenience and safety via home network system. Furthermore, based on the various lifestyle, the storytelling design concept applied in the interior design, which will have to effect the future model house design planning. Nonetheless, the current emphasis on universal design is expected to be treated one of the important concept in Korean apartment planning. This study has a significant meaning on readdressing current trend in Korean housing and to provide informations for future directions on Korean apartment planning.

A Case Study on the Development of an ICT Convergence Innovation Cluster for Creative Economy (창조경제를 위한 ICT 융합 혁신 클러스터 구축 사례 연구)

  • The new Korean government sets its main policy direction as Creative Economy. The Creative Economy can be defined as a growth strategy that establishes new companies, enhances the competitiveness of established companies and creates new markets, industries and jobs in consequence of combining of creative imagination, science and technology and ICT. In this context, the concept of innovation cluster, which aims to foster technological innovations from an organic ecosystem perspective, can be a valid policy instrument for attaining Creative Economy. Innovation cluster can and must make a contribution to achieving the Creative Economy of Korea. In particular, the ICT Convergence Innovation Cluster will be a good strategy for this purpose. Based on this conceptual background, this paper analyzes a recently notable case of an ICT Convergence Cluster in Korea, Pangyo Technovalley (PTV). We argue that the Pangyo Technovalley is a representative cluster of converging ICT and science and technology. We identify the major factors for successful development of ICT cluster: regional government's flexible response to environmental change, careful pre-planning and balance between private and public involvement. In addition, we also found that additional factors, settlement condition for securing good workforce, agglomeration of various innovation actors for promoting convergence, and cluster network revitalization are also important for implementing the creative ICT convergence cluster.

The key object is the progress report & propagation automation system based on sensors, which is major for providing objective data to realize and support decision makings and delivering decision to a certain area, department, manager and other people rapidly. Collecting, reviewing and database of existing progress report & propagation manual in order to achieve networking of safety management on major social infrastructure of the nation, materialization of field-oriented intelligent business process by developing mobile safety management command transmission device and integrating it into facility safety management network.

Analysis of Passenger Movement Patterns Using Subway OD Data (도시철도 출·도착데이터를 이용한 승객이동 패턴 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to design and construct a data mart that anyone can easily analyze subway OD movement patterns. Subway OD data of the year 2017 was downloaded from the Seoul Open Data Plaza and used as the source data. A multidimensional model was designed, and Gaussian mixed cluster analysis and visualization analysis using Tableau were performed. Interestingly, movement between suburban and Seoul accounts for 23% of the total traffic. The passengers of Suwon Station move to the suburbs much more than Seoul, while Pangyo Station mostly moves to Seoul. As a result of Gaussian mixed cluster, eight clusters of OD segments were found, and the characteristics of each cluster were characterized by segment distance and passenger size.
