In this paper, we propose a new shot boundary detection method which is optimized for news video story parsing. This new news shot boundary detection method was designed to satisfy all the following requirements: 1) minimizing the incorrect data in data set for anchor shot detection by improving the recall ratio 2) detecting abrupt cuts and gradual transitions with one single algorithm so as to divide news video into shots with one scan of data set; 3) classifying shots into static or dynamic, therefore, reducing the search space for the subsequent stage of anchor shot detection. The proposed method, based on singular value decomposition with incremental clustering and mercer kernel, has additional desirable features. Applying singular value decomposition, the noise or trivial variations in the video sequence are removed. Therefore, the separability is improved. Mercer kernel improves the possibility of detection of shots which is not separable in input space by mapping data to high dimensional feature space. The experimental results illustrated the superiority of the proposed method with respect to recall criteria and search space reduction for anchor shot detection.
Recently, a study has been progressed about the energy storage system for resolving energy shortage problems in the world. The energy storage system can maximize energy storage system's energy usage by monitoring and controlling about all energy infrastructures on energy network. However, compatibility problems among main components or devices of the energy storage system are obstacles to development of energy storage system products. An extensible profile and extensible profile verification software being able to verify the extensible profile have been required in order to resolve compatibility problems. In this paper, the study on complexity analysis for the extensible profile verification software for the energy storage system is performed. A XML based profile and C language structure based profile are used for analysis of the profile verification software. The complexity of complex verification structure that parses the XML based profile several times and simple verification structure that parses the C language structure based profile are analyzed and compared. Time complexity, space complexity, and cyclomatic complexity are used for complexity analysis. By using these complexity analysis, the study result that compares and analyzes the complexity of XML based and C language structure based profile verification software is presented.

With the growing demand for MAC-based system, the need for digital forensic techniques of these system has been increasing. In the digital forensic analysis process, sometimes analysts have recovered the deleted files when they prove the allegations if system user try to remove the evidence deliberately. Research and analysis that recover the deleted files from a file system constantly been made and HFS+ that is a file system of MAC-based system also has been researched. Carving techniques primarily has been used to recover the deleted file from HFS+ a file system because metadata of folder or file overwrite metadata of a deleted file when file is deleted from a file system on HFS+ characteristic. But if the file content is saved by separated state in a file system, Carving techniques also can't recover the whole or a part of the deleted file. In this paper we describe technique the deleted file recovery technique using HFS+ file system a journal. This technique that is suggested by existing research and analysis result is the technique that recover the deleted file by metadata that is maintained in a journal on HFS+ file system. but this technique excludes specific files and this problem needs to be reformed. In this paper we suggest algorithm that analysis a journal of HFS+ file system in detail. And we demonstrate that the deleted file cat be recovered from the extracted metadata by this algorithm without the excluded file.

Program plagiarism is a significant factor to reduce the quality of education in computer programming. In this paper, we propose the technique of identifying similar or identical programs in order to prevent students from reckless copying their programming assignments. Existing approaches for identifying similar programs are mainly based on fingerprints or pattern matching for text documents. Different from those existing approaches, we propose an approach based on the program structur. Using paring progrmas, we first transform programs into XML documents by representing syntactic components in the programs with elements in XML document, then run X-tree Diff+, which is the change detection algorithm for XML documents, and produce an edit script as a change. The decision of similar or identical programs is made on the analysis of edit scripts in terms of program plagiarism. Analysis of edit scripts allows users to understand the process of conversion between two programs so that users can make qualitative judgement considering the characteristics of program assignment and the degree of plagiarism.

Malware analysis is one of the important concerns of computer security, and advances in analysis techniques have become important for computer security. In the past, the signature-based method was used to detect malware. However, as the percentage of packed malware increased, it became more difficult to detect using the conventional method. In this paper, we propose a method for identifying packers of packed programs using machine learning. The proposed method parses the packed program to extract specific PE information that can identify the packer and identifies the packer using the Adaptive Boosting algorithm among the machine learning models. To verify the accuracy of the proposed method, we collected and tested 391 programs packed with 12 types of packers and found that the packers were identified with an accuracy of about 99.2%. In addition, we presented the results of identification using PEiD, a signature-based PE identification tool, and existing machine learning method. The proposed method shows better performance in terms of accuracy and speed in identifying packers than existing methods.

In this paper, we propose a new ECAD software for efficiently analyzing and debugging of digital architecture implemented in Verilog HDL or VHDL codes. This software firstly elaborates HDL codes so as to extract internal architecture structure, then generates several graphical aids such as hierarchical schematics by applying placement and routing algorithm, object tree to show configuration of each module, instance tree to show hierarchical structure of instances, and SPD (Signal Propagation Diagram) to show internal interconnections. It is more important function that same objects in different views(HDL codes, object tree, instance tree, SPD, waveform etc.) can be highlighted at the starting any object. These functions are sure to improve efficiency of manual job to fix bugs or to analyze HDL codes.

SQLite database is a file-based DBMS(Database Management System) that provides transactions, and it is loaded on smartphone because it is appropriate for lightweight platform. AS the usage of smartphone increased, SQLite-related crimes can occur. In this paper, we proposed a new concealing method for SQLite db file and a detection method against it. As a result of concealing experiments, it is possible to intentionally conceal 70bytes in the DB file header and conceal original data by inserting artificial pages. But it can be detected by parsing 70bytes based on SQLite structure or using the number of record and index. After that, we proposed detection algorithm for concealed data.

When designing chip, it considers design specification, timing problem, and clock synchronization on place & route (P&R) process. P&R process is complicated because of considering various factors. Chip uses clock tree synthesis (CTS) to reduce clock path delay. The purpose of this study is to examine shallow-CTS algorithm for checking clock tree synthesizable. Using open source Parser-Verilog, register transfer level (RTL) synthesizable Verilog file is parsed and it uses Pre-CTS and Post-CTS process that is included shallow-CTS. Based on longest clock path in the Pre-CTS and Post-CTS stages, the standard deviation before and after buffer insertion is compared and analyzed for the accuracy of CTS. In this paper, It is expected that the cost and time problem could be reduced by providing a pre-clock tree synthesis verification method at the RTL level without confirming the CTS result using the time-consuming licensed EDA tool.

In this paper, we suggest the method to improve the existing method leaning context-free grammar(CFG) using tabular representation(TBL) as a chromosome of genetic algorithm in grammatical inference and show the more efficient experimental result. We have two improvements. The first is to improve the formula to reflect the learning evaluation of positive and negative examples at the same time for the fitness function. The second is to classify partitions corresponding to TBLs generated from positive learning examples according to the size of the learning string, proceed with the evolution process by class, and adjust the composition ratio according to the success rate to apply the learning method linked to survival in the next generation. These improvements provide better efficiency than the existing method by solving the complexity and difficulty in the crossover and generalization steps between several individuals according to the size of the learning examples. We experiment with the languages proposed in the existing method, and the results show a rather fast generation rate that takes fewer generations to complete learning with the same success rate than the existing method. In the future, this method can be tried for extended CYK, and furthermore, it suggests the possibility of being applied to more complex parsing tables.
A sentence reduction is the information compression process which removes extraneous words and phrases and retains basic meaning of the original sentence. Most researches in the sentence reduction have required a large number of lexical and syntactic resources and focused on extracting or removing extraneous constituents such as words, phrases and clauses of the sentence via the complicated parsing process. However, these researches have some problems. First, the lexical resource which can be obtained in loaming data is very limited. Second, it is difficult to reduce the sentence to languages that have no method for reliable syntactic parsing because of an ambiguity and exceptional expression of the sentence. In order to solve these problems, we propose the sentence reduction method which uses templates and POS(part of speech) information without a parsing process. In our proposed method, we create a new sentence using both Sentence Reduction Templates that decide the reduction sentence form and Grammatical POS-based Reduction Rules that compose the grammatical sentence structure. In addition, We use Viterbi algorithms at HMM(Hidden Markov Models) to avoid the exponential calculation problem which occurs under applying to Sentence Reduction Templates. Finally, our experiments show that the proposed method achieves acceptable results in comparison to the previous sentence reduction methods.
