The population was all middle school third year students in Korea. Using random sampling technique, 50 classes of 61 schools were sampled for the study. A survey questionnaire used Semantic Differential(SD) suggested by Osgood(1957). SD consisted of a number of adjective pairs, finally, this study used 11 adjective pairs to have validity. 1,198 out of 1,441 questionnaire were returned (a return rate of 83.14%), among which 935 were used for the analysis after data cleaning. An alpha level of 0.05 was established a prior for determining significance. All data analysis was accomplished using the SPSS 20.0 Win. Based on the finding of the study, the major results of the this study were as follows : 1. Higher average is female students' image of Specialized Vocational high school than male students' that, but, The difference between the two samples was not statistically significant. 2. • The purpose of this study is to analyze how the teaching activities which used EXCEL influence the specialized high school underachieved students. They have difficulties in making use of various representations for better understanding of function. EXCEL is helpful for learning function because it enables the students to use real life materials in math learning as well as formulates Tabular, Algebraic and Graphical which represent function. Furthermore, the students in specialized high school also have the experience of using EXCEL while studying other subjects. For that reason they have no burdens and fears on using EXCEL in learning activities. Utilizing EXCEL in the classroom gives an expectation that it helps to have interests on studying function and prepare for the next learning in the end. Research classes were conducted in a group of five students who have different hopes of career and a variety of mathematical interests. Though the students couldn't transfer Algebraic to Graphical in the diagnostic evaluation, they could resolve the problem of connections between Graphical, Tabular and Algebraic in the process perspectives, and could also express graphical representation by linking object perspectives with process perspectives. Therefore, they solved the connection problem of Tabular, Algebraic and Graphical in the object perspectives. As a result, the students could make transitions between Algebraic and Graphical in object perspectives through the classes applying EXCEL. Consequently, teaching the students with underachievement utilizing EXCEL enables them to recover their interests on math and it helps them to complete their following curriculum.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose implications by analyzing the textiles and clothing curriculum of vocational high schools. Literature and data were analyzed, surveys and FGI were conducted, and the following research results were derived. First, many schools chose 'Basic dress design' or 'Basic dress composition' as basic subjects. Through this, it was confirmed that technical training for practice is a priority for vocational schools, and that more discussion is needed regarding the lack of theoretical subjects. Second, similarly to the basic subjects, practical subjects offered are concentrated on 2 to 3 subjects. The teachers asserted that some subjects such as 'Knit apparel production' and the 'Leather and fur design production', which require a lot of equipment and advanced technology, cannot be offered without support from the government. Third, the NCS competency unit of the practical subjects is easy to proceed with the class or is closely concentrated on the type of manpower training presented by each department. Fourth, this study proposes that for technical education to expand students' choice, it is necessary to cultivate teachers competencies linked to the industry. The results of this study are expected to provide basic data on the organization of the next textiles and clothing professional curriculum and help understand vocational education at vocational high schools. In addition, it is believed that this study will contribute to developing and settling various subjects when the high school credit system is implemented by expanding students' choice of major-related subjects.

However, career anxiety was found to have no direct effect on career identity and career preparation behavior. Second, career stress was found to have a significant impact on career identity and career preparation behavior. Third, the mediating effect of career identity was found to be high in the relationship between career stress and career preparation behavior. This shows that career stress increases actions for career preparation through career identity.
