  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate biomechanical characteristics of trekking shoes using 3D Bootie method as mimics barefoot form of F Co. that provides the best comfort and plantar pressure dispersion. The control group is normal trekking shoes of M Co. and K Co.. 13 healthy males measured the foot pressure, EMG and GRF. Collected data was analyzed using One-way ANOVA in order to investigate the effects of each trekking shoes. The results are as follows: Trekking shoe of F Co. was significantly wider in contact area than others at MF and significantly lower in maximum force, peak pressure than others at RF. In the case of muscle activity, acted in the same way as the effect of barefoot walking. In the case of GRF, effectively absorbed the impact force, so it is possible to efficient walking. As a result of the analysis, trekking shoe using of 3D Bootie method of F Co. can be efficient walking by reducing the load of foot during walking.

  • 2-axis tracking solar PV system applying a fixed-type unit than in the same area as the panel's power output to more than 140% can be obtained that have been identified. However, this approach compared with fixed or 1-axis control system and control the complexity of trekking equipment power the cursor comes to a relatively small output PV unit is called. In this paper, a small PV power units as a way to improve the economics of the small output of multiple PV units in the central control unit in enclosed places an intermittent manner by a remote control for each unit of the trek at the same time to simplify the control mechanism to reduce power that will be introduced. also the construction of large-scale PV development plans in difficult environments can be utilized in a manner appropriate to introduce.

  • This study utilizes FGLS (Feasible Generalized Least Squares) to determine the impact of Jeju Olle trekking courses on nearby land prices. Official 2010 land price data for 7 areas surrounding different Jeju Olle Trails was examined with a GIS program to determine the exact distance of land parcels from nearby trekking courses. Distance and various other pricing factors were used as explanatory variables for increases in land prices. The dependent variable was the rate of change in land prices from 2002 to 2010. Unlike existing studies which have examined the effect of highways, subways and other transportation facilities on land prices, this paper examines the effect of Korea's first-ever trekking courses on nearby land prices. This study concludes that 7 different Olle Trails exert a significant influence on nearby land prices and that land prices decrease by 0.03% per meter as plots get further and further from Olle Trails. This result shows that not only transport infrastructure (highways, subways, etc.) but also non-traffic infrastructure such as Jeju Olle Trails and trekking courses can have positive effects on local real estate markets.

  • This research aims to analyze the meanings that the inscription of 'jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes' onto UNESCO World Natural Heritage and the promotion of Geomunoreum International Trekking Fair has given to ecotourism in Jeju. The inscription of Jeju World Natural Heritage and its extension into Geomunoreum International Trekking Fair generated important meanings in Jeju ecotourism in terms of promotion subjects and direction of the natural heritage use. First, this research holds that the local government became a crucial role on ecotourism development, along with small-sized-voluntary group tourists. Second, the research reflects the change of Jeju ecotourism characteristics from simple landscape-oriented tourism to theme tourism such as Geo-tourism. Finally it was found out that community residents were encouraged to participate in regional engagement, while I suggest for some concrete ways to induce their participation for community-based development.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of static recovery and dynamic recovery methods on heart rate, blood lactic acid concentration, and blood glucose during recovery after walking at the speed of 80bpm and 130+30bpm upon trekking of forest slopes in Taejo Mountain in Cheonan. 9 men in their 20s and 30s who had no abnormality in walking was subject to this experience. The result of through static recovery and dynamic recovery methods while trekking at the speed of 80bpm and 130+30bpm were analyzed by two-way repeated ANOVA. When there was a significant difference, the repeated method of contrast was applied to compare and analyze. The heart rate at 80bpm condition was significantly different depending on the method(p=.008) and time(p=.000) and there was no significant difference in blood lactic acid concentration for the recovery method(p=.401), but there was a significant difference depending on the time(p=.000). Blood glucose did not show significant difference according to the recovery method(p=.093), and there was significant difference depending on the time of static recovery method(p=.002). The heart rate in 130bpm + 30bpm condition was significantly different depending on to the method(p=.002) and time(p=.000), blood lactic acid concentration was significantly different depending on the method(p=.001) and time(p=.000), and blood glucose concentration was not significantly different between the time(p=090) and the method(p=.721).
