  • This study reflects the concept of risk-based design to present a systematic design means and a method to adjust regulations and standards towards a more reliable direction within the current law. In order to enhance the early design concentration and level in the part of safety design, a new Advanced Safety Analysis Table (ASAT) was developed to provide information on the systematized safety design element from the early design phase. Furthermore, a guideline was put forth about the selection of a safety device according to process trouble, on the basis of the ASAT. To apply the proposed ASAT and the selection method of a safety device according to process troubles, the ASAT was executed for the PGC (Process Gas Compressor) of the NCC (Naphtha Cracking Center), and the result of selecting the safety device was analyzed according to process trouble.

  • This study is intended to look into the effects of wig wearing on scalp disorders in female patients with cancer. To achieve this, a survey was empirically carried out to female patients with cancer. The findings are as follows. The effect of wig wearing for hair loss on scalp itching in female patients with cancer showed that larger inconvenient factors did not cause the itch when wearing wig. And the adhesion, perspiration and psychological shrinking of wig wearing did not directly spark the scalp itch. The effect of wig wearing for hair loss on scalp trouble in female patients with cancer showed that higher inconvenient status and psychological shrinking significantly caused scalp trouble when removing wig, while the adhesion and perspiration did not directly correlated with scalp trouble when removing wig. As for the findings, it suggests that the simple adhesive status and perspiration do not just cause scalp disorders in that wig wearing for hair loss causes the scalp itch and trouble in female patients with cancer.

  • Shield TBM, since it was employed for Suyoungman Bay riverbed tunnel of Busan Subway in 2000,has been increasingly adopted in Korea, and in line with growing popularity, the study on Shield TBM has been expanded. However the studies mostly focus on ground condition in a bid to estimate the advancement rate and develop the model for calculating the excavation efficiency, whereas the efforts to analyze the cause of delay and to develop the improvement measures have been neglected. Thus the studies were mostly intended to analyze the schedule slippage focusing on ground conditions, while the study on schedule behind due to equipment itself and related facilities have yet to be attempted in earnest. This study hence was aimed at evaluating the troubles and schedule slippage caused by mechanical elements such as shield TBM equipment and tools and ground conditions, making use of FMEA approach so as to analyze the risk of schedule delay by such elements, thereby proposing the preventive measures to deal with high-risk factors. So, this study suggest the solution to highly ranked trouble factor for the purpose of enhance the efficiency on Shield TBM.
